Wonderful dinner at this lovely French restaurant. Highlights were the Foie Gras which I had never tried. The mussels, onion soup, sea bass and pork chop were all outstanding. The desserts did not disappoint. Highly recommend. Our best dinner experience in Telluride.

Petite Mason brings Paris bistro to Telluride. Whether the Moules Frit, Steak Frit or Coq Au Vin, it was all fantastic in the cosy little house on a side street just off the main street.

Overall, this experience was very peaceful and fulfilling. We had a Salad to glasses of wine, do you want Jason a dessert and our bill was less than $150 which in this town says a lot. Everything was season perfectly and our weight staff maintain that perfect balance of attending to us without smothering. Great job all around.

We enjoyed our experience overall. We struggled to choose an appetizer and wished there was an oyster option. During our dinner we heard our server offering oysters to other guests. We were disappointed. The creme brûlée was excellent.

Pettie Maison is the perfect date night experience. The recipes are top notch. They have become an overnight gem as one of the newer restaurants in Telluride. Reservations are a must. The Cassoulet Aux Champigions was a surprisingly delicious choice that was a great surprise.

We had a reservation for 8:15pm on a Saturday evening. We arrive, table not ready, had to wait for manager to move around already seated guests to make room for us (I am sure those guests appreciated being asked to switch tables…not). Then after about 20 mins, waiter shows up to take our order. Food took forever to arrive while patrons who arrived after us seemed to get their food before us. No explanation or checking in on us by the waiter. Finally, about 45 mins later our food arrived, barely warm. Onion soup was lukewarm and steaks (while good) also were on the colder side of the spectrum. Peppercorn sauce was watery. Oh and bread - if this is a French place, there should be plenty of bread served with the meal, and not charge $10 for a basked of 4 small slices. This may sound like I am being cheap, but I am not - I am French and this is a cultural lesson here… if you want to be a French restaurant, then do as the French do and not your own interpretation… Very disappointing, we had been there already in the winter and had a great time and food. This was quite an unexpected experience. Sad to say but we won’t be coming back to Petite Maison on our next regular visit to Telluride.

The layout of the restaurant was done to maximize the amount of patrons in the restaurant at one time. This means, for individuals to get to their seats other tables have to move. Each time someone has to use the restaurant, again other tables have to move. The food was okay, but for a $100+ per person night, I expected much better. The best part of the night was the staff and would be the only reason I would come back.

We had eaten at Petite Maison shortly after it opened and while it was okay it wasn’t anything special. It had become a favorite for several of our friends and at their urging, last night we gave it another try and are so glad we did. Food (mains cassoulet and coq au vin) was outstanding, service was helpful and friendly, atmosphere (we were outside) was pleasant, and, by Telluride standards, value is very good (portions are, if anything, too big). Definitely will add Petite Maison to our regular rotation.

We loved our dinner at Petite Maison. Staff was so gracious! And we were thrilled with our meal. We started with the tempura fried baby artichokes as an appetizer. For our mains, I had the poached scallops served over an olive oil cake and my friend had the steak frites. Terrific!

Everything we had from the onion soup to the Arugula salad to the coriander crusted tuna to the mushroom cassoulet to the steak and the pot de crème was beautifully presented and ridiculously flavorful. Staff was professional and attentive but not intrusive. Only thing I would change is the pomegranate arils on the arugula salad appeared “cloudy” and dull, not bright and juicy, flavorful. Almost as if they were from a package and not from the actual fruit.

Our food and drinks were all excellent and the service was perfect. The only thing I could say would be better is to have a little bit more space between tables that are set outside. It is hard to have a conversation without your neighbors hearing all of it.

What a fantastic surprise on our trip to Telluride! Last minute decision to try this out and we were so happy we did . Food was absolutely outstanding. My husband orders pork chops in every fine dining restaurant we go to around the country and he said this was the best he’s ever had! Service was impeccable ! Ambience lovely.
