We are repeat diners here which means the food is good. Tried the raclette...not as sharp as the fondue but creamy and just plain fun.

Delicious! Flavor and more layers of flavor. So delicious. Did I mention that it was delicious? Perfect portions. I was full but not stuffed. So creative for dessert. Go and enjoy a fine meal.

Though we sadly missed Valentines Day, we made it for brunch the next morning. Though they were quite busy, our server Ian, with a little help from the other server the lovely Hailey, we had another outstanding meal. This meal ended up quite special. We started with with a glass of pink bubbly in honor of the holiday (though we do enjoy it on non holidays) and took in the menu and the specials. First was wine and Ian suggested a wine not on the list; but unfortunately they had sold the last bottle so we made a choice from the (new expanded) list with no regrets. We started with salads. As we were enjoying them, and a sip or two, I mentioned the only thing missing from Paris was some lovely crusty bread. We asked and were told that their bread didn't come in in time for lunch; but they did find a little for us and the day was made. Our mains came delivered by Ian and Hailey, my Croque Madame was perfect and Julie tried the Quiche du Jour, again, wonderful; and our usual, a side of house frites (they are perfect with anything.....ok, or alone). Unfortunately that was sufficient so no pastry today. We are so very happy that we don't live in Portland, even the hour and a half from NH and we end up at PJ's whenever we can (now our treat is come up for a night, dinner with them, a relaxing evening, then brunch before we head home. There are a lot of wonderful restaurants in Portland, but PJ's appeal is a casual French bistro. Nothing we call 'phu-phu', just relaxed, good food, good (excellent) service and good wine (oui)). Long diatribe, but this time spent at PJ's was exceptional, thank you all. Bill and Julie

We were seated promptly, at a very nice table. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. This was not our first visit, and will not be our last. Lovely Valentine's evening.

Our party of four had four different items from the menu , each was very delicious chicken, onion soup, mussels and the cheese and ham crepes. The portions were sufficient and filling. The salt level did not overwhelm the flavors as is sometimes the case in restaurant food. The staff was helpful and attentive.
