Petite Chou Bistro & Champagne Bar
A nice French concept restaurant in the Patachou family. Our waiter had excellent knowledge of wines and wasn't intrusive. I had the mussels and frittes, which were very good, fresh, with a nice broth.
The BEST . Every single time!
Delicious and FUN! Thanks for a great evening!
We will be back!
The staff was very nice and greeted us immediately upon our arrival.
The Service was excellent.
The meal was great.
The atmosphere was very nice, very comfortable.
We look forward to our next visit.
It was the perfect place for a late night dinner date. We sat outside on the patio which was lovely and perfect. The champagne was delicious and the cheeseboard and mussels were amazing. We will be back.
Portions of entre too small for price.
Fabulous dinner celebrating our anniversary!
Loved sitting outside on the patio. Music and ambiance was wonderful! As always, the food was delicious as well.
The service was wonderful. The good was fantastic! Every single item was delicious and perfectly presented. Can’t wait to return soon!
Delicious onion soup, traditional French dishes- and don’t miss the lemon pavlova for dessert.
Great food and service.
It was a pleasant experience. I could not recommend the foie gras to anyone who likes the real thing. Theirs is more like liverworst and comes from Kentucky of all places. Also, some actual French music would be better than the golden oldies that they were playing. If they want to be a French restaurant, then do it right.
Great food and service. Standard French dishes with a touch of creativity and well prepared.
We had a great time! Looking forward to coming back!
The food was excellent. We did the Devour menu. Service was good. The only thing that dampened our experience was the loud party of about 20 people with a professional photographer who decided to have a photo shoot a foot from our table, complete with yelling & hooting. I complained to our waitress, who did nothing.
For its genre' I think the food is the best in Indy, the service was excellent and the crafted cocktails were superb. Unfortunately for the second time is a row were seated next to a loud, profane and socially unaware patron. Obviously this is not the restaurant's fault. It will not deter me from frequenting Petite Chou.
Service was great, but the food was lackluster for the price. It was good, not great. The fries we received were over cooked and crumbs, the risotto was more corn, and the lobster was fine. All together, it was fine, but did not live up to our hopes.
Dinner was excellent! Wonderful evening and experience!
Great service, excellent cocktail service, outstanding food. It is an intimate restaurant and there was a fairly loud party of about 8 some elderly guests who must have been hard of hearing. NOT the restaurant's fault. Still, a great dining experience.
My filet was over cooked and I had to send it back. Preparing the second filet took an excessive amount of time.
Service was slow. Food was really good. (Knife burger and quail) BUT for two people - two cocktails- two entree- two salads - to be 175.00 is a bit much. We are foodies and enjoy a nice meal out weekly at new venues but this was at the higher end based on our experiences.
Petite Chou is hands down our favorite Indianapolis restaurant
Menu changes have removed many of my previous favorites. Overall food was just ok. Used to be great. There has clearly been a chef change and not for the better.
Patio dining at its best
We enjoyed our cocktails based on champagne. We were handed the wrong menu to start but after we received the dinner menu everything went well. My companions highly recommend the french onion soup. The knife & Fork burgers are big and delicious. The frites are excellent. On a nicer evening I'm sure the outside dining would be quite enjoyable. The interior of the restaurant where we ate was a little crowded. The server had a hard time getting between the tables.
This was our third straight year coming to Petite Chou whilenin town for the Indy 500. It was a fantastic experience yet again. We’ve somehow managed to have the same server, Latham, all three times, and he is a great guy and makes the experience even better. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.
Everything is always cooked to perfection and sitting on the patio in nice weather is a delight.
I’ve recently relocated to Indy for work and live in BRipple. Dinner at Petite Chou was hands down the best meal I have had since moving. Hands down. And the after dinner coffee was amazing - piping hot and strong! Petite Chou will not disappoint you!
Fabulous every visit
Usually a great place. Service this time was poor. Our waiter didn’t seem to want to be there and seemed put out that he had to call on our table.
The service was very nice but extremely slow. The food was okay but not great - with the exception of the banana/caramel crepe for dessert which was fabulous.
The crab cakes were great. However, I ordered the mussels. It was not until 15 minutes after I placed my order that I was notified that they were out of mussels. Totally, killed my vibe. Otherwise, everything else was great.
One of the best restaurants in Indianapolis. Consistently wonderful food, top notch service and beautiful ambience (always the best soundtrack to dine to). Cozy, lively and one of a kind. I love you Petite Chou!
It was date night for my husband and me, we were in the Broad Ripple area running errands and wanted someplace in the area so we didn’t have to drive out of our way. We went to Petite Chou and I was very glad we did! We have been to the restaurant quite a few times but it had been a minute and I was looking forward to a return visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! We had an excellent bottle of Bordeaux, I got the Bibb lettuce salad which I loved with a Dijon vinaigrette, my husband started with the French onion soup, which he savored for about 15 minutes and loved every drop! We both ordered the steak au povre which is covered with a fine and delicious black pepper crust- but it wasn’t overwhelmingly peppery, it was perfect and added such nice flavor to the steak. We got the fries in duck fat which if you’ve never had them are a true treat, and I never order fries however if you’re at Petite Chou you order the fries because they are beyond delicious. They come with a dipping sauce that is outstanding. We did not order dessert because we were so full but their dessert crepes are wonderful as are their other dessert options. Service is efficient and friendly, the ambiance is warm, and it was an all around perfect dinner, as usual! Cunningham group knows how to develop excellent restaurants and keep up the quality over the years!
This a go-to restaurant for us, always a nice dining experience. The food was, as always, excellent, the service great, and the ambiance wonderful. This is very reminiscent of the type of smallish brasserie that one might find in France and the food is very idiomatic. It is comfortable and cozy, and in nice weather you can sit outside, again very French. They even allow dogs! If I had a complaint it might be that the music is at times inappropriate and too loud. But we go here frequently and plan to return soon.
You will return over and over and over again because the food is that good - and the cozy ambiance inside or on the patio is the best. Two thumbs up always for the staff - overall 10+++
I usually really like Petite Chou but this time felt like the portions were a bit stingy. we ordered a cheese bored and we got 3 cheeses that were tiny pieces.
It was hype
The best . Always the best. The frites are the best you will ever have ever. Same with the French onion soup . Petite Chou is my first choice always .
This is a great restaurant. I almost hesitate to say so because I want to keep it all to myself - it is smallish and intimate, with a very relaxed vibe and unlike many contemporary restaurants, it is quiet and unhurried. You never get the sense they are trying to turn tables here. The food is exemplary, very French but not fussy, with a number of innovative turns on classic French cuisine. It is moderately priced and there are seasonal changes to the otherwise reliable menu. Highly recommended!
