Felt like I was in France. The pasta was homemade and the sauce was excellent. But the mussels stole the show.
We love Petite Chou!
We were at Petite Chou for a Valentine's/birthday celebration, and as always everything was perfect. We sat safely outside on the enclosed patio where the heaters (and cocktails) kept us warm and cozy. It is so nice to be able to get out of my own kitchen and have a special meal at Petite Chou. Some of us had the beef bourguignon Valentine special, others the sole and the chicken paillard. All of our meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Thank you!
Great food and service
Love the consistency of Petite Chou! One of our favorites. Patio seating very comfortable, despite the cold temperatures.
Great restaurant and the coq au vin is delicious. Can't pass up those frites either. Yumm.
Great to be in the area and enjoy PC! They need one in East Carmel, for sure... I’ll commit to go 11x a year and buy at least a bottle of wine with dinner each time. Martha nailed the ambiance, and the servers are amazing. The food is terrific- and not like anything else you can find in Indy. Cant wait to go back.
As always, or experience was enjoyable. We were there on a Saturday evening, and it was not terribly busy. (Still during covid reduced-occupancy rules) Service was great, ambiance was great. No problems of any kind.
This was just a fantastic way to send off a really terrible year--but this is sure to be a tradition from now on. The food was amazing, the service attentive and kind, and the atmosphere was a winter wonderland. It's clear they have made every effort to keep all visitors and staff safe while providing an absolute wonderful experience. HIGHLY recommend any of their delicious cocktails as well as the cheese board--so delish! Thank you for helping us welcome in a new beginning--my resolution is to visit this restaurant more regularly!
Always fantastic service and food. Best patio dining in the city . Doing a fantastic job during covid . Love this place love the staff . Always gets two thumbs up -5 stars
The food was quite good and the heated, enclosed dining area, decorated for winter, provided a wonderful ambience.
Was super psyched about this place but wasn’t impressed. Service was not friendly. Mussels were the only thing that were good, wouldn’t recommend ordering from the apps. If the service was friendlier and more welcoming, would have considered coming back to try an entree. But probably not.
Delightful little place with fantastic food. Definitely my favorite place during my Indy trip.
Was as good a meal as could have been had in town on Wednesday evening.
Food was delicious. The service was a bit slow. We will go back.
The restaurant closed the night of our reservation due to an employee getting Corona Virus. Which they cannot control but they called to tell us an hour before our reservation time and I did not pick up because I did not see my phone ring and they did not leave a message so we showed up and were turned away. At that point and even if I did see my phone ring and answered we were not able to get in to any other restaurant for the evening so we had to reschedule our 3 year anniversary dinner at another restaurant for five days later. I found it very rude to close an hour before someone’s reservation because you know they will not be able to get in anywhere else and if they made a reservation that probably means it’s important. We were so excited to try this restaurant too as we love French food but we will never go back after this experience.
We apologize that you were not able to dine with us on your anniversary, but the safety of our staff and customers is paramount. Closing immediately after the positive test of one of our staff members was not easy, but it was the responsible thing to do. We called all reservations as early as we possibly could, and left voicemails for those whose boxes were not full. Leaving a 1 star review for putting your safety first is frankly the rude move here.
The food here is EXCELLENT. We had Onion Soup, Chicken Paillard, Cassoulet, Duck Fat Fries w/ truffle, wine and champagne. Everything was great and I know the rest of the menu is as well. We had a reservation for their cute patio but ended up sitting inside when our table wasn’t available outside. The back room inside felt empty (probably b/c of COVID) and was a little weird in my opinion- just didn’t feel like a special occasion atmosphere which is what we were hoping for this particular evening. We will definitely be back but will wait for patio or maybe even the front room. Can’t wait to go for brunch as well.
Long a fan of the Patachou restaurants, I am sorry to report that this particular visit was disappointing. Our server was terrific but the food was not prepared to this restaurant's usual standards. My party of three was forgiving --we know these are difficult times for restaurants -- but we might not be back for awhile.
We go to Petite Chou for many reasons...ambience, food, staff. Ashley was our waiter last Thursday and he gave us excellent service. We look forward to returning sometime in December.
The fall seasonal fish prep is off the charts delicious !
Awesome spot for a date night. We had the new pumpkin appetizer, and it is delicious!! I hope they keep it on the menu for a while. We had a great booth inside that provided ample social distancing. We will definitely come back.
Delicious food and love the patio! New menu items are so good
Wonderful! Delicious food, delightful ambiance, and exceptional service. What more could you want?
Petite Chou never disappoints!
Love this place! Full disclosure— I’ve never eaten inside the restaurant but have dined twice now on the outdoor patio. The ambiance is perfect French bistro and pet-friendly. And the food is so good that on two successive one-night visits to Indianapolis, we had to eat here for dinner despite the plethora of tempting places surrounding it in Broad Ripple. Try the chicken paillard, it’s amazing. And the burrata appetizer is heaven.
Dessert selections are mostly different kinds of crepes but the chocolate pot de creme is lovely. I will be dreaming about the caramel apple crepe for a while. Might be the best thing I’ve ever tasted.
This place is not inexpensive (dinner for two with a shared app and dessert plus tip was about $100) but excellent. Can’t wait to go again.
The fall menu is amazing- mushroom farro is a must ! Our favorite spot hands down .
Mussels and broth were cold the new app of cheesy puff pasty had no cheese and no puff. We were seated in the back patio without lighting. Had to use phone light to finish meal. Frites are always spot on tho
Always fabulous
Great for outdoor dining
Not so good. Server was not very friendly, we told her we were celebrating 2 birthdays. They were out of the wine we wanted, out of raspberries for the champagne drink I wanted. We had to ask several times to get bread and butter with dinner. It was a letdown. Not terrible, but not like when I have dined there before.
My husband & I went here for our anniversary, to experience French food for the first time. The French onion soup was spectacular. The champagne cocktails were delicious but a bit pricey. The food was average and quite over-priced for the small portion that we got. Overall, just ok.
This is a great date night spot to sit outside and enjoy great food. Our food was delicious (beet burger and steak & frites). The wine list seemed very limited with only 2 varieties of red and 2 varieties of white, but that may be due to the pandemic. While we enjoyed the outdoor seating, it is not socially distanced, so if you don't want to be close to your neighbor, it may not be the spot for you right now.
This place always lives up to the same high standard. They do everything RIGHT.
Dog friendly patio- we love Petite Chou! We are regulars . Love the servers, food , vibe all outstanding !
Lackluster experience
Service was slow and impersonal
Food was mediocre
$30 salmon was served with microscopic sized amount of zoodles and a bland sauce
$18 burger was a mish-mash of flavors and overly salty and served with double fried (burnt, leftover) frittes
Tequila Mockingbird cocktail was excellent!
Overall experience and food was not worth the price
Love Petitchou dearly! One of my favorite restaurants!!
Loved sitting outside on the lovely patio with a great bottle of wine!
Our fave spot in the city !! We love everything!
Lovely evening, delicious meal with great service and incredible dessert - our server brought it out with a Bday candle. So fun and made our dinner so special.
This is one of our very favorite places to eat! The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
