Part neighborhood café, part energetic bistro, Petite Cerise is located in a bright and lively historic corner space in Shaw/Mount Vernon Triangle. Petite Cerise features separate à la carte menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner. In addition, Petite Cerise has a Coffee Counter open Tuesday - Friday opening at 8am serving classic coffee and espresso preparations, housemade pastries, and other breakfast items to go or sit down.

Dinner offers both an à la carte menu along with a Prix Fixe option. The focus in the evening is to craft unique and innovative dishes utilizing the very best ingredients within the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond skillfully prepared through a French lens.

    The cheese tart with sour cherry was otherworldly, my drink was excellent, and the vibe was perfection. Given the hype, I expected to hand out many more superlatives, but c'est la vie.

    We had an excellent prix fixe meal. All courses were exquisitely prepared and presented and were reasonably priced. Staff were welcoming and thoughtful. Sometimes a bit noisy.

    Had the best omlette of my life here, and the pastries, drinks and coffee were great too! Excellent service and they even brought out my last pastry with a candle when the server overheard that this was a brunch from my birthday gift!

    Hospitality, service and food were excellent. This was my second visit and everything was consistent. I highly recommend.

    My second time here. They understand service here just as well at they do as their sister restaurant, The Dabney - but with one less Michelin star. I’m incredibly impressed by this beautiful French cafe from top to bottom.

    Outstanding French bistro in Shaw. My family took me there for my birthday and from the moment we stepped through the doors, a top notch experience. Service was excellent, available when you needed them but not over zealous. Food was outstanding. It’s replaced the other French restaurant in DC which is too crowded and too loud. A new favorite. We will be back.
