Fantastic experience, great service and delicious food. The onion soup and lamb were spectacular. We celebrated our anniversary there and were surprised with a delicious crime brûlée from Paula and the staff. Highly recommended!
Quintessential French food in every best way. Perfect little cafe straight out of Paris.
Great food and service in a beautiful space.
The savory dishes were outstanding, the sweet dishes were less so. Overall, a very cute little bistro with great service.
Outdoor space was lovely! Well ventilated but warm. Low music
Very good French Restaurant, Steak, Lamb, Crème Brûlée done masterfully.
Smaller and more intimate than the other locations. Great food ans friendly staff. I will be back!
Decent French food and nice atmosphere but avoid eating outside. The terrace was extremely cold last night.
Petite Boucherie feels and looks like a perfect French bistro. The menu also fits the bill. The only flaw is the food is just middle of the road. Not unacceptable but not top of the game. The frisée salad uses bacon instead of crispy lardon, the onion soup had great cheese but the flavor of the broth was uninspired and the steak tartare had no excitement to its flavor. Overall a pleasant experience but the food was not the highlight.
Had the avocado toast. The toast was cold and Rick hard. Avocado was bland. Very little seasoning. Would not order again.
Essentials of French bistro food, a little loud, but nice cocktail selection. Super friendly staff and elegant service. Lean towards the classics like Rack of Lamb, Moules Frites, or Escargot. The pasta is underwhelming for the price. Worthwhile to take your friends here, especially if they haven't had French very often. Excellent spot for dinner and a glass of wine. Cheers
What a gem!!!
Ask for Eva, never ever I have had someone taking care for us like that.
The one major problem is the bar tender couldn’t make a dry martini .
Really?when you ask for very dry and the vermouth is almost equal to the vodka…??
The food was very good but the place is too NOISY
I had my 2nd anniversary here with my wife. Although the overall experience was excellent, what really made our night special was the service. Our server was attentive and helpful as is the case with most restaurants. What struck me as odd, was that she seemed genuinely happy that a young couple like us were celebrating our anniversary at the restaurant. Although you can replicate great cooking and a good ambience at another restaurants, it would be difficult to recreate the sense of warmth and hospitality that we felt from our server.
The food was delicious and surprisingly well portioned. My duck was cooked well with a crispy skin and juicy interior. My wife has mussels cooked in a wine sauce that were also pretty good.
Finally, to top off the night we had a chocolate mouse for dessert that the restaurant provided free of charge without asking.
All-in-all, if you're celebrating an occasion or just want good food this is a great place to try. I would certainly visit again the future and wanted to extend a sincere thank you to the staff for making our experience memorable.
The food was very tasty--well prepared, not over salted as you find often in restaurants. The tarte tatin was lovely--transported me back to France. Very good Malbec on the wine list for a very good price. We were able to take our time--no one rushed us at all.
Grab a coffee and run.
Delightful lunch at Petite Boucherie. The restaurant is so charming. I had a delicious Nicoise salad with pommes frites, followed by a wonderful little apple tart. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. Perfect spot for a nice meal in the heart of Greenwich Village.
Service was so welcoming, food delicious, cozy atmosphere ❤️
Our server Eva was AMAZING! So friendly and has the best personality! She made a brunch sweet!
I walked into Petite Boucherie. It was my first visit even though my favorite restaurant is always French. The place was absolutely charming and on a lovely street in NYC's West Village. I was 30 mins early for a reservation, but no matter there was bar (no one was there) and the restaurant was not very busy. No one greeted me on arrival so I assumed the maitre'd was busy with some of the tables so I seated myself at the bar next to the kitchen. I sat for maybe 30 mins. No one came up to me. No one came behind the bar to serve me. No one asked me if I wanted a drink. No one even said "sorry we are closing early" even though I had a legitimate Open Table reservation. And several waiters clearly noticed me, but my hopes were dashed when they walked right past me. Even more bizarre was no one asked to see my Covid vaccination certificate, a requirement of NYC law. I could have been sitting there with my mask off coughing Covid virus all over the bar. So i walked out. No one of course approached me.
The food at Petite Boucherie is really good (especially the burger). But we went for brunch and they were out of the onion soup. They're a french restaurant and out of onion soup? The last 2 times I went to Petite Boucherie they were severely understaffed so we were waiting a long time for service. During brunch we waited almost 30 minutes just to get our check at the end. The busboy picks and chooses who to bring bread to. I had to ask several times for our table. It's a shame because the restaurant is cute and the food is good with a lot of potential, but the service is just abysmal.
Great location, ambience and food. Staff very kind and servicial
Great service and fantastic food
"- Do you have a chai latte?
- No for that you can go to Starbucks"
This is our favorite French Bistro in NYC. Love it and return frequently.
Enjoyed the food. Each of our plates was well-prepared and presented. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. My chief complaint is with the website. I booked online starting with the Boucherie website, and then through Open Table. But the Boucherie I booked was actually not the one I thought I booked, was in a different location, and had a different menu than I expected. The booking process was confusing enough that the whole event, starting with trying to check in at the wrong location, and being directed to another one, was a surprise, and something of a letdown, to my party.
Better than ever. There are many delicious places which offer French cuisine in NYC— the different here is the quality of customer service. It was my first time back in five years.
I’ve stopped by whenever I am back in NYC for the past 20 years since university. This quiet little corner is a good respite from the hectic main avenues for a good meal and a relaxing drink.
Such a cozy and beautiful place to dine. Cocktails and food are superb! We loved every moment spent in this Petite restaurant. Thank you Petite team for great dinner !
Our favorite West Village hang has adapted beautifully to the post(?)-pandemic world -- the outdoor shed thing on the sidewalk is beautifully spacious and airy, and even the 'indoor' tables feel barely indoors, as many of them sit next to the (huge, open) windows, so even our most nervous friends breathe easy. Food is amazing as always. Everyone's friendly, and Yelena runs the place beautifully. 11/10 coming back soon
the food is classic French and the outdoor seating is really lovely. Our drinks and food were messed up three times and the management did nothing to mitigate wasting our time.
Very fresh and well prepared. A wider selection of breakfast and brunch things than I remembered! Very fast service. Excellent outside tables, right in the quiet street, with the best French onion soup I've had in years. Right across the strest, several cute stores have re-opened, and there is a hidden gourmet coffee shop at the basement level... yum!
Looking for a quaint place with French menu. Saw reviews online were great so decided to give it a try. Did not disappoint! Food was fabulous as was the service!
Absolutely the best service - friendly, fast, thoughtful.
The food was excellent.
Great little spot in the Village with authentic French dishes and craft cocktails. My husband and I enjoyed a casual and romantic dinner. Our waiter was friendly and fast though somewhat inattentive, but that’s part of the charm. You come here and spend a leisurely evening talking and enjoying the food. Creme brûlée was underwhelming but the duck and lamb sausage was delicious! Would definitely come again.
Love this place so much. Relaxed vibe, cutest decor, and food is amazing. Staff is lovely.
Seated in back next to line to bathroom.
It was lovely, but the frites with the steak weren’t all that special. I do love that you get the Pat of butter with salt on it. Good call there.
The food was quite frankly solid, tasted amazing mind you but the overall service of the waiters were extremely poor, maybe it was because they were busy or because they lacked overall awareness but when your customer has to get up to call a waiter or waitress over after a hour of not being looked at, it speaks volumes, if the food wasn't as impeccable as it was they would be receiving less than 3 stars for the overall restaurant performance and experience.
