Beautiful little place. Service fantastic. Apps were very good. Entree’s both inedible. Steak so salty I had to wipe it with my napkin. Veal bolognese also terrible. I hate leaving a negative review.
I live this restaurant and have never been disappointed. This time omg started with the octopus which was full of flavor and very tender. For the entree I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly. My husband started with the pate which was excellent and has the nicoise for a entree.
It was a great meal and I encourage anyone who likes French food to go!!
Fabulous French cuisine in a romantic spot in the village. Not to be confused with its big brother Boucherie a few blocks away, which looks large, noisy and social, Petite Boucherie is ideal for a quiet, romantic meal.
Just a great experience all around. Charming and service was exceptional!
Great food. We did the Restaurant Week menu and were not disappointed. The Mousse was Outstanding!
Lovely small restaurant. Highly recommend the scallops and burger.
Perfect combination of great French bistro fare, excellent French wines at relatively reasonable prices and convivial atmosphere.
Delicious dinner...we had squash salad, seasonal salad, moules frites, lamb and tarte tatin. Would recommend all. Excellent service without being intrusive.
Friendly, welcoming, fun. Enjoyed escargot, salmon, and chateaubriand. Adorable neighborhood.
We were treated like refugees
This restaurant was recommended as a romantic one, and we went there on a birthday. But we thought there was nothing romantic about it. It was very noisy and crowded. The food and service were good, but the ambiance did not work for us.
Everything was great. Food, service and we got the table we wanted. I’ll be back for sure.
Excellent food- we felt like we were on the Left Bank in Paris!
I was disappointed by the overall Brunch. The French onion soup was super bland. I had to empty almost a spoonful of salt just to make it have any resemblance of flavor. The cocktails were overpriced and more than half ice also took FOREVER, the duck hash which I was really excited about, dry and on the cold side. The service was super slow in spite of it not being that busy and the waitresses even though nice, were super slow and had to grab their attention because they hardly came to check up on you. I really wanted to like this place...
Great small cozy bistro. Food and service were excellent. Could benefit from quieter music or none at all. Since the restaurant is small noise is an issue.
We do brunch about once a month at this spot, one of the few French restaurants in the city that offers duck for brunch, you must try the duck hash if you go. You should also try their bacon on its own. The coffee is very good, and their OJ is freshly pressed.
For dinner, they have a fabu pan seared chicken with the perfect combination of juicy and crispy.
It changed ownership, but it kept the staff, some of the members have the usual French reserved visage, but that adds to their charm; it's just a cover, talk to them, they are really nice and will offer options and go (just a tiny bit) out of their way to keep you happy. They will, however, remember you the next time you go, and that actually makes them smile. One of the reasons we keep going is perhaps, because we know the staff is the same, so we know the food, beverages and service will be consistent.
An excellent experience, as always. Amazing food, great friendly service, all needed ingredients for a perfect dinner. Petite Boucherie always exceeds my expectations, every time... Highly recommended...
After receiving our starters, the electricity went out in the kitchen. Our waitress omitted from telling us this, so 1 & half hours later we asked if our main dishes were coming, she said there was an issue and would get back to us. She then avoided us, so we asked the manager and he told us the problem. He straight away got on the phone to their sister restaurant (2min walk away) and got us a table with VIP treatment. Hail the manager of this quirky little restaurant. We really had the star treatment. To top all of this, he actually stopped by the restaurant to see if we were being treated well.
I would most certainly recommend this restaurant and go back.
Food was good but service was lousy. They forgot our wine order, didn’t check in with us, and didn’t check our Opentable reservation details. So disappointed as the location and ambience was nice.
Great food and service. Very small restaurant so plan ahead. Quite noisy and friendly.
Great meal. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly
Excellent food, service, atmosphere. One of my West Village favorites!
Beautiful take on a French bistro with a NY twist. Great space, welcoming people and classic French fare executed property. As good as any bistro I've ever been to in France, but with it's own Village vibe, hope to visit again next time we are in town.
Delicious! We found Petite Boucherie written up in Town and Country magazine and decided to make a reservation. It was a perfect dining experience and the food was outstanding, and true French cuisine. When we return to NYC we will dine there again.
Very cozy and quaint. Service was just right and not overbearing. Food was very good... We will be back.
The food and service were excellent! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive to our needs without being continuously bothersome. The appetizers, main dishes, and deserts that we had were very tasty and nicely presented. Seating is a little tight and the noise level a little loud, but neither was a concerning factor for us. We really enjoyed our meal and highly recommend this restaurant.
everything was great
great service, great food quality
Realily nice place! The food was excellent, a little bit noisy but is great for a romantic dinner!
Lovely environment and good service and great food!
Delightful and authentic bistro experience. Intimate and cozy. Nice wines by the glass. Outstanding chocolate mousse.
Love love love Petit Boucherie. It has become a neighborhood staple to us!
Stellar! This is our favorite place. Delicious food, great ambience exceeded only by the staff.
Loved the food, the ambiance and the service! I think this one of the best French restaurants we’ve tried in Manhattan. We will definitely be back.
We love this really good traditional French food. It can be on the noisy side, but the ambiance is great and staff really friendly and attentive.
It was a very nice place, staff was awesome very respectful. Food what delicious. All around nice environment.
Had a great time for my girlfriend's birthday. All the food we ordered was fantastic (octopus salad, foie gras, chateaubriand, creme brulee), but the foie stole the show. Very kind of them to include a little candle on the dessert for my girlfriend. Will be returning soon.
Petite Boucherie features classic French bistro fare in a cozy Greenwich Village setting. In addition to classic dishes such as pate, onion soup, frog legs, and escargots, the lunch menu features delicious sandwiches. Several tables offer views of Christopher Street. This will become one of my favorite Village restaurants.
Petite Boucherie was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday with a small group of girls. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate, the service was exceptional, and the food was timely and outstanding. The manager went above and beyond to cater to everyone’s needs and make the evening special. We will definitely be returning!
Totally approved 😁
Was formally Dominique's Bistro which my wife and I loved. Was worried about the change but the food was equally good and the menu almost the same. Excellent date night.
