Fabulous atmosphere, delicious food and great service! Would definitely go again.
Slight delay to be seated, mediocre risotto (white, bland rice and mushrooms were nowhere to be found?), very crowded and tight. Two who ordered steak frites were happy with it. Good location.
A great find. Would go again! Busy early evening...we booked for 6.30 and it was fairly crowded, but good service all the same.
We booked dinner before a show at the Huntington. Curtain was 7:30 so we were at the restaurant quite early. The food was excellent, but the service was sloppy. Water glasses not filled, no bread or fork for my husband’s cheese plate. Nevertheless, we will give it a second shot.
Wonderful cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The service is excellent
Local place great food service was great I can't wait to back next time I'm in Boston
Stumbled upon this local gem while visiting from out of town. Would return in a heartbeat!
We had a group of four celebrating a work achievement over lunch on a Friday. The waiter did a great job of letting us enjoy our conversation but got us focused on the order and the meal unfolded at a natural pace. Our table had two order the moules frites, plus the kale salade au saumon and an omelette Parisienne. Judging by the clean plates all around, the food was a bit hit. About a half dozen different parties (some on business, most with friends), all seemed to be having a similar experience. Never disappoints!
Fabulous food from top to bottom. The staff is warm and friendly and the venue has a welcoming and relaxed vibe. The pace of dining is extremely relaxed. I would have liked my entree a lot sooner because I overindulged on the delicious bread. This is my fault not the restaurant’s. Who can control themselves when everything is so delicious ?!!
Great as always, best food in the area
New Favorite Place to eat. Love the Eggs Benedict. :)
Delicious friendly neighborhoody as always. A go to fave
It was really lovely. The meals were perfect, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and all restaurant staff were friendly. I recommend to family, friends, and colleagues without hesitation.
Wonderful classic French bistro
This was my second time dining here
nice atmosphere. Excellent starters. Clave's liver way overdone. Coq au vin lacked deep wine-y flavor, overly smoked with bacon. Only the menu (and some wait staff) reminded me of France.
Wonderful meal at one of our favorite restaurants.
Cute restaurant, food pretty good. But for lunch on a Friday it was quite understaffed. Staff friendly, however. I'd go back.
Everything was great!
First time dining here for brunch/lunch with my spouse and my friend. Waiter was slow to order, food a bit late to come. Menu options are limited. Portion size to value is low. May not come again.
Excellent meal, great service
We’d made a reservation on Open Table, got there 20 minutes early and they were able to seat us right away. Everything was well done!!
Great ambiance and great food at an affordable price point. I will definitely visit again
We ate outside--some noise from local children riding scooters, but great atmosphere at dusk, and food was delicious with wide choice (but perhaps a bit too much bacon for those keeping kosher). Service pleasant.
Very nice dinner. Felt a bit rushed and the room was a bit stuffy but overall enjoyed the dinner.
This is a great restaurant - they are always welcoming and we ALWAYS have great food.
Nice little bistro that I would recommend.
Very good value too
Excellent food and service! Nice casual atmosphere.
Simple but excellent food, effective service, very nice and pleasant setting. Cannot wait returning.
This was a night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I am French and chose to eat at Petit Robert Bistro. We had made reservations but it felt that the staff had no idea we were coming. A waitress asked twice if we made reservations but did not wait for an answer nor asked for our names. We sat outside which was lovely on that balmy summer night. Our server was sulking and mumbling the whole evening. When we needed a replacement napkin we had to ask twice. They were out of all the specials except for a soup (at 8:00 pm).The food except for the charcuterie platter was pretty uninspiring and tasteless (we had ordered the half chicken and salmon). The two memorable things about this evening were finding a parking spot right in front of a downtown Boston restaurant (good thing because the advertised valet parking we were counting on was not happening that night for some reason) and learning that Petit Robert Bistro is not the same restaurant as Petit Robert Bistro Central (for which we had a gift card and found out later closed a year ago...). So in conclusion it was a lovely night because of the company and the setting but I would never recommend this restaurant.
I apologize for any spelling errors in my comments.
The food is good; however a little too rich. Service is good. Outside much better than inside.
Food was outstanding !! Service even better just outstanding .. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience !!
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding. Great place to sit outside and watch the world go by.
Food and drinks were excellent! Lovely French bistro.
Excellent food and service. Will return when back in Boston.
Food was not good (I had the duck, was not tasty and no tender) but service was good and we enjoyed eating outside.
A little slice of Paris in Boston’s south end. Absolutely wonderful food, ambiance, and service!!
Picked the place to celebrate our 36th anniversary because of food and location. Although the carte is pretty simple, we enjoyed our meal. My gluten free diet was kindly accommodated (bread, dessert). Will go back.
The escargot was great.
Outdoor dining on a warm summer evening. What could be better. pleasant bistro food. In a comfortable setting with a nice staff.
