Food typical of a bistro and delicious. Staff very nice, but table service inattentive. We spent awhile without water or wine.
Great food and friendly staff! I loved the risotto and wine selection, perfect for date night!
One of our favorite restaurants in Boston. Merci, Petit Robert!
Great food and great waiter. It was my friends first Croque Monsieur and she loved it!
It’s adorable but too much crammed into a small space. One single unisex bathroom that has you waiting in the kitchen. Very loud and hostess borderline rude.
Love this place . Great people , great food - reminds me of neighborhood bistro in Paris
Petit Robert Bistro is delicious!! The lamb special was amazing and the beouf bourginon was beyond perfect. The service was also lovely, albeit a little slow. The ambiance is perfect, especially for a date or special occasion.
Phenomenal: - Duber, Maria and all the associates are awesome: food, with the new chef is a tad too creamy for me; one negative - the Owner is way uprising the wine cost. This is a Bistro - the wines are getting jacked up to silly prices -
Lovely ambience! Steak fries were superb and scallops delicious, if a bit skimpy on the amount. It's a favorite of ours!
Great place to have good food and wine and conversation before performances at Huntington Theater, Symphony Hall or Jordan Hall. Our go to spot.
Uninspired, poorly seasoned food. The only saving grace was the creme brulee. Our server was not very knowledgeable and hard to understand. Even though it was a dark, rainy evening a candle was randomly plopped onto our table towards the end of our meal around 8p. Don't plan on returning.
Best Paris bistro in Boston. Love this place.
Petit Robert is the perfect spot for excellent French comfort food (coq au vin, steak frites, broiled salmon) served in a relaxed but professional way in an energetic, cozy setting by expert wait-staff (that all seem to have "real" French accents !) It is a wonderful combination of a welcoming neighborhood place and authentic, French bistro.
I had a crepe with ham and cheese. It arrived cold and tasteless; the fried egg on top was over cooked. Friends had the Eggs Benedict; the eggs were over cooked and the hollandaise sauce was separating. My coffee was tepid and I was not offered a refill. Very disappointing as this is a cute neighborhood place with very little noise so it is easy to have a conversation. Too bad.
Perfect Mother'd Day Brunch! Food was incredible. I will definitely be returning for brunch in the future.
Authentic French Bistro...great flavors and very good service. We will return.
Great. Go all the time. Staff, food and atmosphere are awesome!
Had Birthday lunch with small group of friends and the day was grey and cold, but sitting at the window enjoying delicious food and ambiance and occasional cocktail made for a delightful experience.
Outstanding cuisine, service and ambience. Had a wonderful experience.
Cozy neighborhood gem. Great food and oh, the French bread is awesome.
Best French restaurant in the area. Every meal has been wonderful. The onion soup was piping hot and rich in tase. The steak frites was tender and perfectly done, medium-rare , with a delicious béarnaise sauce with sublime spinach on the side. I was very impressed with the taste of the accompanying vegetables, carrots, beans, cauliflower. The espresso was delicious and the chocolate mousse (not overly sweet) was a wonderful way to end a delightful dinner. I've never had a bad meal here!
Great food and service for a reasonable rate. Seating area was small but not cramped. We had a nice family dinner before the symphony. It was a bit stuffy when we first arrived but got better over time.
Friendly, classy bistro atmosphere. Excellent service, esp. since we were in a time crunch.
Hope to go again when we can sit outside. Thanks!
Always love to come here when I’m missing Paris!
Exceptional as always Exceptional as always Exceptional as always
It was an unexpected surprise and is a gem of a restaurant. Real French feel and genuinely French cooking and staff
Petit Robert Bistro was really great. We made reservations for 3 at 6pm on Saturday. Greeted kindly and seated right away. Two of us had swordfish special....outstanding.
Dessert chosen was cream boules with slight hint of lavender to share. Waiter was attentive and did not rush our ordering or lingering post dessert..discussion.
All three of us had a great experience.
Lovely Easter dinner at outside seating. We felt like we were in France!
We went for brunch on Easter. The server was wonderful. The food was not good, unfortunately. The crab omelette special had no crab at all (two people ordered it at our table and the same result). The appetizers (patè and tuna tartar) did not come with crostini’s to eat with it which was weird. Drinks were ok, good dry rosè and pear margarita. Again bummed out that the main course was crummy-unfortunately it was so that we won’t be back. I do want to stress again that all service was 100% wonderful.
Dinner with our adult kids. I love the French atmosphere!
Lovely European ambience with a consistent and generous menu plus a charming waitstaff.
Service was very uneven and food was average at best. Ordered Steak Frites (medium rare) and got a sirloin type steak that was thin and overcooked. Really no excuse for this at a "good" French restaurant. Used to frequent this place in Kenmore for years and was always excellent. Not so much anymore. Will probably not go again and would not recommend.
Great food but service is not good for brunch. Better service for dinner!
Brought our kids (5,8,10) shortly after traveling to Boston and the meal was great. Kids options were sufficient and good value, but adult meals were wonderful. Cute little bistro with great food and service above its pricepoint. Will definitely consider returning on next trip!
Delicious, properly prepared french food! Four of us split escargot (amazing!), mussels, risotto, cod and kale chiffonade salad. Service was prompt (we had a short window before a show at Symphony Hall). Will definitely be back again.
Ours was a group of friends who had worked together for years. Petit Robert provided the perfect place to talk and laugh, sip wine and eat. In fact, it’s my go-to for a lot of everyday and special occasions—New Years Eve, Mothers Day, and entertaining out-of-town guests. I’m never disappointed. (And they have the best outdoor space in the city.)
The food was okay but the quantity was a little lacking. It was a much smaller portion than i expected but quality was good.
Bday! Great spot always in our rotation
We have been coming here for years. We thought the food was less good this last time, and we wondered whether there was a new chef. The food was just not as nice as previously. It is still a lovely location, and a great value, but it went down a notch in my view.
