Wonderful, start to finish!
Always excellent. Our go to place.👍 we have been enjoying PR for over 20 years!
We were turned away even though we arrived for our reservation on time. It was the finals of the world cup, and the place was over fulled- they had taken over the entire sidewalk and were spilling into the street. We understood it was a momentous day, but there was not apology made by the manager. We will not give them our business in the future.
We enjoyed the Petit Robert Bistro very much. Nice, quaint, bistro restaurant with an authentic feel. Meal was paced well but we could have used a little more attention at times during the meal. Solid bistro food and menu. We will definitely return
Wonderful relaxing afternoon on the side walk bistro!
A chance find near are accommodation turned out to be a fabulous dinner. Very French, superbly cooked, amazing tastes, clearly a chef with a passion for delivering a great gastronomic experience. Highly recommended.
Too bad about giving up the liquor license.
Food was good. My bad for choosing a day when the World Cup was being played. But overall good experience. Would go again.
Never disappoints. Good, atmosphere and staff are great which makes for a wonderful experience. Great option for a quiet down-to-earth experience.
Very good food and the service was excellent. Nice seating at the window as requested. Staff very friendly and accomodating.
A delightful evening catching up with friends and relaxing after a long day of college orientation.
All the food was good at Petit Robert Bistro Columbus Avenue, but I especially recommend the oysters on the half shell, which were the best I have had in Boston and amongst the best I have had anywhere in the world. This was the second time I went in three days, a clear sign that I like the place. I also recommend the cod, which was excellent. My wife had the duck, which she liked but which I thought was so so. Our friend had the chicken and was very happy with it.
One of the best outdoor seating venues in Boston. So very pleasant to be there with your dog. Food was great.
Had an excellent Father's Day brunch.
The food and service were outstanding.
The weather was good so we sat outside and felt like we were in a Paris cafe!
We ordered an omelette for brunch. The omelette was nothing special, and item with french fries and salad. Wha't up with that? Not even home fries. The bread wasn't particularly good either. We were disappointed.
Nice atmosphere, food and staff.
This was the first of two times I went to Petit Robert Bistro Columbus Avenue in three days, a clear sign that I like the place. All the food was good, but I especially recommend the oysters on the half shell, which were the best I have had in Boston and amongst the best I have had anywhere in the world. The oysters were the reason I went back a second time. I also recommend the cod, which was excellent. My son had the steak frites and was happy with it. It is a good place to go if you live in the area or are passing through.
Dined outdoors on a lovely evening. The perfect pre-Boston Pops spot! Everything we ordered from salads, soup, fishm chicken and beef dishes were delicious French creations!
Food and service were excellent, we sat outside, it's pretty close to MFA and Northeastern so after browsing the collection at MFA Uber/Lyft over. If you like unpretentious French fare I think you'll love it. It features a good wine list and solid selection of scotch.
Service was weak. Food was average.
We choose this restaurant before we go to Pops every year. Valet parking on the night we choose so makes the experience easy. Food always delicious!
Regular at this, normally awesome local bistro . Lunch - mid week - dreadful .
Cold French fries, mediocre moules, dodgy old salad.
Waste of money - and no apologies-
Losing its lustre
food not served for 2 hours - then it was not what was ordered
We went into Petit Robert mid-afternoon on a Sunday, as we had tickets for a 6:00 P.M. performance at nearby Symphony Hall.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in early June, so we opted for a sidewalk table and enjoyed the excellent weather and some rose'. We ordered the mussels to start, followed by salad and risotto. We shared all the courses, and they were kind enough to plate both the salad and the risotto on separate plates for us, unrequested.
Very much enjoyed the alfresco ambiance, the food and the service. Looks like we will have to return next time we have tickets for a Sunday evening performance.
This place could have been a four or five but the service was poor. The staff forgot our order so we waited for an hour, then had to approach the staff to ask what was going on. No apologies or explanation or even water refill.
Great dining experience. Phenomenal food and exceptional service!
Petit Robert is a charming french bistro -- with nice sidewalk seating in good weather. We have always had excellent service. We especailly love the mussels in curry broth and the calves liver (yes, the calves liver).
Petit Robert Bistro never disappoints - the food, the staff, the setting. The staff are warm and engaged and ensure one's needs are taken care of.
One word MARVELLOUS! Luic is the best host in South End of Boston. Period
Traditional French bistro fare at a fair price, super-attentive and friendly waitstaff. We have dined here several times, and it is always a pleasure.
Food was decent, but didn't receive our entire order. Restaurant could use updating. Had to practically seat ourselves.
Anna as always was terrific
I have eaten here at Petit Robert many times as I love the ambiance and the French dishes. This was my least good experience. We had to wait 30 minutes for a reserved table. Two of my fellow dinners felt that the French onion soup - a classic- was mediocre. The texture of the mussels was strange. I just hope that it was an “off night” for the kitchen.
Love Petit Robert! Perfect spot, delicious food, attentive service.
Was in town for a long weekend. We stumbled across the restaurant and decided to try it for dinner. we out ourselves in the servers hands and let him pick our food. Everything was great. Restaurant was a little due to a private party but it didn't interfere with our evening. Nice little place to enjoy a great bottle of wine and some awesome food. I will be back
Food was good. The waiter took a long time coming to the table. Once we ordered, Then, he never stopped back to ask how our meal was until we were finished eating. We had to flag him down when we needed water refills or soda. Very disappointed this time
wine was expensive and very disappointing. I asked for the waiter's guidance and I guess that was a mistake. food was excellent. bread hot and delicious. Trio of pate included one that was superlative. Crepe was excellent. Fries were almost fabulous.
large party was extremely loud, deafening.
I would return.
We arrived early - had a drink at the bar - the host was able to find us a table very quickly and we enjoyed a true French meal - escargots, boeuf bourguignon, Vanilla Creme Brulee and some good wine and cognac. One of the few restaurants which I have been impressed by.
Easy to access valet available great service and the menu has wonderful options to choose from. We will be back for sure.
Excellent South End choice. Quality ingredients, good price points, solid service, a nice night out in the city.
