   Closed permanently without notice when we got there. Paper stuck to the door telling us this. Clearly they didn’t tell you either!

   It was an excellent place to eat such pity it closed its doors forever due to e cession overheads etc last week so we were disappointingly left unable to visit last week

   Decide to dine midweek and found the restaurant rather quiet, that’s probably better than loud however. Service was impeccable and the waiting staff could answer questions about the menu. Two of us chose chicken fricasse and really liked it. The other two chose hake and we’re not quite so keen. Desserts were lovely. Sticky toffee pudding was great, the other three chose millefeuille and were pleased with that too. When the bill came it felt very reasonable in these difficult times.

   Absolutely love this place. Tasty, big portion sizes, varied menu. Good vibe, the staff are great, and great wine list. Disappointed that they only have semi skimmed milk for hot drinks (why no dairy free alternatives?)

   Good food and nice staff. We didn't realise it was a set Christmas menu, which was slightly disappointing, as no French dishes in dessert, but food was good.

   We were put in the back room , it was so cold as only us in there , asked if we could move but apparently no other tables were available, they said if one came available they would move us ,this did not happen and on leaving we saw loads of free tables !!! We had to sit with our coats on .

   The whole experience was excellent very friendly staff good service and wonderful food. The last time we went was before covid but will not be leaving to long before we go back

   We had a beautiful meal here. The food was great and the portions were generous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor could do with a bit of updating but don’t let that take away from the great food.

    Perfect place for pre theatre meal..we were 5.15 and then an easy stroll up the hill. I am so glad it has survived the pandemic, it never disappoints.
