   Probably should order the steak. Choose prefixed menu. The appetizer: a slice of tomato with a slice of onion is a shame. Black coffee is terrible. McDonald’ s coffee is much better.

   One of the best steaks in Vegas! Service was top notch. Don’t miss the cheesecake and apple strudel either.

   Our experience last night at Peter Luger was a disappointment. I have read many stories about the Brooklyn location and the rave reviews. This was a celebration of my daughter’s 50 th birthday and an item to check off my bucket list. Unfortunately we were seated in the bar with a tv showing a sports event. We could have been in any one of dozens of other Vegas bars. The ambiance was disappointing. The bread was good and our wedge salad was crisp with a nice blue cheese dressing. My daughter who has worked on the strip as a bartender in the past ordered a glass of wine that she said was the most expensive glass of wine she has ever ordered in her 21 years in Vegas. It was a medium priced wine on the menu at $32.00 .After an hour of being seated the hot plates our waiter had dropped off had gotten cold. We looked around for another ten minutes and couldn’t find anyone to tell us why our steak hadn’t arrived . We flagged down the manager Teddy. The table next to us had ordered at the same time and they were almost done eating. We have both worked in the service industry so this is something we don’t usually do. The manager brought us hot plates and about five mins later our server brought the steak and apologized. He said the steak hadn’t arrived because it needed to be redone and he had tables on the other side of the restaurant. The steak was very good. Teddy ended up offering us complimentary desserts to take home and our server topped up my daughter’s wine and did not charge us for the wine. Because of this effort at resolving the situation I did not give them a three star rating. I am sure this is a one off situation and just bad luck on our part. With the comps I spent $380.00 and without it would have been another 100.00. I know this is Vegas but the experience did not match the tab.

    Peter Lugers never disappoints. First time at this location and definitely won’t be my last. Service was great and the personal touch of hospitality was unparalleled. The steak and sides were amazing, no different than their NY locations. 10/10
