First time, pleasant experience, good variety, will go back again.
Delicious osso bucco penne and fabulous pizza. Great service and outdoor patio. You can't go wrong unless you're looking for a huge menu.
Food was good not great. We had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation without any offers to apologize. We were asked to wait in a small alcove so we wouldn’t disturb other diners. Very limited menu. Not likely to go back.
Food was hot, delicious and beautifully presented. Staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. I love this place!
My wife and I had a lunch at Lowell's to celebrate a couple of January anniversaries. She had a minestrone and a panini with a chai latte -- she enjoyed all of it. I had a fish sandwich and the house coffee -- both were delightful. The fish sandwich was so juicy, I had to eat it with a knife and fork -- the bread was rustic and scrumptious.
Great service, quiet environment easy to have a conversation in.
Simple, healthy and delicious food at a local joint. We've been coming here for awhile, but not until we went there with out of town friends recently, who provided us feedback that they thought prices were high (they are from Berkeley). Upon reflecting on what upscale local restaurants charge, and what San Francisco city prices are with foodie menus, this restaurant is a bit on the high side, considering the food is not anything fancy. We will likely keep coming, but something for the management to think about.
My family and I had a pleasant time. My two granddaughters enjoyed their pizza, salad and desserts. My sons and I had a hearty and tasty meal. The ambience was conducive to lively conversation.
This place is highly overrated. The food was terrible and very overpriced. We were charged$4.50 for4 slices of bread which I thought was ridiculous. My entree was flavorless and the mushrooms were rubbery. The desserts were ok though. We’ll never go back
Food was ok - nothing special. To add 20% tip service should be excellent.
Dishes were very good but a bit small for the gentleman guest that came with us.
Favorite part of the meal was byfar the potato leek soup.
Just saying ...
Our waitress was friendly and helpful but misunderstood something that I said: I said no animal products; she heard no protein.
The secondary waitresses were not as friendly or helpful.
My companion thought all three were friendly, no problem.
Best Pizza and Caesar salad in town! Have been going for years!
My friend and I found the music too loud and the selection of music was not conducive to conversation, so had to ask twice to have it turned down. Finally, we also asked for different music! Please be aware of choosing music that works for the customers (and not just the staff)! When I eat out, I'm generally meeting a friend and most interested in connecting with that person.
I do like your wait staff; they are accessible and comfortable to communicate with. And I always find something that pleases my palate and works for my budget. Thanks for being......
The menu is EXTREMELY limited in its breadth. There were only 2 meat entrees. The service was a joke, so much that our table was assuming that our server was stoned! Plus they AUTOMATICALLY add a 20% gratuity to the bill (we were a table of 4!) I couldn't even tip what would be appropriate for the terrible service we received. Stay away as there are many better choices in Sebastopol.
Bring back the fish, lamb urges, and Ruben sandwiches!
Loved the Chicken Liver mousse, the Beet Arancini, Salads, Wine and the Pear Tart
Good as always and our friends loved it too
Although the vegetarian aspect of this restaurant was very good, the overall quality of the food was average. Cod was so so as was the ravioli. The vegetables were delicious! Service was good but the price for three epople was extravagant at almost $200. Will not be returning.
The food is excellent focusing on farm fresh and healthy ingredients.
The food was spectacular, as always.
Friendly service and just a great, cozy neighborhood
the food is good, the service was great. We were seated in the atrium, which would have been nice, but for the kids running around above us on the stairs and walkways yelling, which was quite loud in the atrium.
I learned of this restaurant, courtesy of open table. I have lived in the area for 20+ years and never heard of it. What a gem. Will definitely be going back. Six of sat in the patio, very nice seating. They closed the door at some point because others were cold (and I can understand that) but it is nicer with the big doors open. Food was good. Salads were fantastic. I also love that they serve Revolution Bread's bread (bakery from Petaluma, whole grains). And Service was 5*s. An extremely nice surprise and we will be certainly going back.
Food was good. Very fresh, farm to fork. Vegan options. No red meat, meat options were duck and halibut. I'd go back.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. Initially, we were welcomed and made comfortable and told of the evening menu, drinks, etc. the waitress seemed very knowledgeable. We ordered our meal, my wife selecting the halibut, and I decided on the pizza since the selection offered was rather sparse. My wife enjoyed her meal, I thought the pizza was rather bland and I've had better even at Costco and other pizzerias. As the evening progressed, the restaurant became extremely busy. This is when the service deteriorated. We were told by friends that the chocolate cake was fabulous at Lowell's. We wanted to order this dessert but our waitress seemed to abandoned us. I had to get up (no big deal) and find her to order the dessert. Quite frankly I was disappointed in this dinning experience and most likely would not return.
Best flourless chocolate cake I have ever tasted!!! And a huge slice - enough to enjoy the next day as well. Dinner was great too!
Delicious food. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our go to dining spot in Sebastopol
One of our favorite restaurants. Delicious, fresh, local food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Nice assortment of food options from typical starters and entrees, to excellent very thin and crisp crusted pizzas, a baked avocado, and other treats. Some nice beers on tap. Sorry, did not even look at the wine list owing to a full afternoon of tasting beforehand. Pleasant place, good service, jeans or shorts perfectly ok.
Wednesday nights three course dinner was phenomenal. The addition of the live music and the great food was a win/win. Very healthy dining options that are presented well, bursting with flavor and locally sourced.
Wow, great food and service. Never disappointed in their food! They have my favorite pizzas in Sonoma county and some delicious salads and other entrees.
I wish they’d get some real pilsener glasses (with a volume marker) to serve their reality Czech beer in. Their beer would be better in general if they served in glasses with a volume marker and taught their servers how to pour beer (for example: if there is yeast in the bottle, and it isn’t a wheat beer, you want to try to leave the yeast in the bottle and not pour it into the glass.).
Also, offering the patron the option to pour their own beer would be appreciated.
Most amazing, exquisite meal in California! Warm hospitality & outstanding farm-to-table quality. Thank you! We will definitely be back!
A local delight in Sebastopol! Order the appetizer plate, your taste buds will adore you! An unsuspecting surprise: an interesting wine list that appears to have only a 50% markup.
Love the patio. Great food to suit all tastes. Service is wonderful. My go to place if I want to relax over a great dinner.
Excellent good and service. Best eggs dish I’ve had in years!
This is my favorite restaurant in Sebastopol. They are very creative with their ingredients and change their menu often, maintaining quality and freshness. Their list of local wines is always quite good.
I thoroughly enjoy eating there, every time.
When I told a friend I had a reservation to take other friends out for a weekend lunch he was like, "nice, but nothing special". I wondered about that. I'd been to Peter Lowell's before and found it to be serviceable. And when I was at the restaurant the experience was a bit 'meh'. I had the salade niciose and one of my friends had the lamb burger that she was really looking forward to. It was apparently overcooked and the presentation was boring. No one checked back. It was not a memorable experience. Guessing the owners' attention is on Handline, which is pretty great; had been there earlier in the week. Go there instead.
Very cool outdoor and indoor eating areas. Super salads and options for Vegetarians and meat lovers alike. We will be back !
We didn’t like the soup, so they didn’t charge us (without us having to ask!).
Great food in general and a festive, quiet, and lovely setting. Good service.
The staff was very attentive and friendly. My associate loved her meal and mine was good; i think i may have just chosen the wrong thing for myself. But i would definitely go back and try some other menu items.
Great service and food was excellent. Not a big fan of the mandatory 20% service charge/tip that is added to everything including wine bottles already being sold at tremendous mark-up.
