Was very appreciative to see all wait staff wearing gloves for Coronavirus risk. Staff was very attentive. Looking forward to going back!
Was great, has a nice little bar and private rooms, good food and a value wine list. I would go back tonight if I could.
Petaluma was fantastic at accommodating our party of 6. We started with a pizza as an appetizer since the the smell of the wood fired permeated the restaurant. The dinners were perfectly timed and delicious. I personally had lamb chops and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Pasta was also good according to our friends. Lastly desert was outstanding. We enjoyed cappuccino and limoncello cake and an order of fried dough. So good. We were never rushed out and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Veal was rubbery
They were packed at 8 p.m. on Valentine's Day but I was seated immediately at a great corner table. The waiter was very helpful from the start. It was only after my friend arrived that we had to grab him to order drinks. But the drinks were great and dinner- the prosciutto pizza- was fabulous. My friend really enjoyed the gluten-free pasta, one of the reasons I chose this restaurant. The only problem was as we were leaving I took a trip to the Ladies and there was water all over the floor from an overflowing toilet. Yuck!
We had a very nice dinner at PETALUMA..!
Everyone was super accommodating and the service was great from start to finish..!
We both loved the Cauliflower Crust Pizzas...and..The Maitre’d did a GREAT JOB with a special occasion Dessert Plate..for us..!
Thank you PETALUMA for a fun time ..!
Great neighborhood gem! It never gets old! Large menu so it' never gets boring.
The food is a favorite when we visit the UES. Service always great and the the food is to delicious. My daughter was a first time guest and loved the gluten free pasta. We will be back again!
Went for brunch. I had the breakfast pizza which was really good. Definitely for sharing. My friend had the Cobb salad which was also very good. Did not get the unlimited mimosas but definitely will next time.
Shrimp scampi over pasta. Just the right amount of garlic and perfectly prepared and flavorful shrimp. As a couple the tables are a bit close to other tables, typical of many NYC restaurants. My only real dislike was the Ceasar salad because the dressing had very little flavor.
Great food and good service! We went for New Years and the servers were very good and the food was delicious.
Great ambience and food and service!
Went on Christmas Eve with another family. Pasta dishes were mediocre, just nothing special and very pricey. eg penne Ala vodka, had little sauce and looked dry, not very hot and cost $24. Waiter was slow and when asked to split check, said too late and I needed to tell him split amount. Got dessert and when delivered indicated no tiramisu and also substituted some lemon dessert cheesecake that they were also out of(without asking)
We thought that we would try Petaluma, remembering what it was years ago. I guess if you like to take your kids for Pizza, it might work for you. But if you want an ordinary dinner, you might want to stay away. The waiter couldn't get our simple order straight...I mean, who wants caesar salad on top of their salmon? Food turned out to be ok although it was delivered in a strange order so that we all weren't eating the same course at the same time. Pizza with cauliflower crust was delivered lukewarm to cold the first time and you know what it was like after they put it back in the pizza oven. Oh well....
We had a nice family dinner with our son, his wife and 2 grandsons 4 and 6. The service was excellent. They were very accommodating food was delicious. Will definitely go there again.
Great food and service. A little on the load side as many tables filled
Linguine and mussels had absolutely no mussels in it, I think they forgot to put them in. The baguettes weren’t toasted for the artichoke dip. No gluten free bread. Soggy chicken parm. Gluten free pizza was not fully cooked through. No one came and checked on us after we got our food.
Waiter was very inattentive; bus person also inattentive; we had to ask for serving spoons; had to request water several times. Every time the door opened there was a terrible draft. Won’t be back
I dine at Petaluma at least once a month. I really enjoy the food at Petaluma, and usually order a salad and a fish main course. This past weekend I decided to order the whole wheat Pasta Primavera as my main course. The pasta was disappointing, not much flavor or body to it. Maybe it needed some mozzarella? I wouldn't recommend that dish. But I would recommend so many others. Service is very attentive.
My husband and I recently moved back to this neighborhood and decided to try Petaluma on a Friday night. We hadn’t been there in many years and were happy to see the quality and value have remained the same. We split the beet salad (which came with tongs—very handy) and he had the veal chop and I had the barramundi. Both were very good and the roasted vegetables that accompanied were actually roasted and not half-sautéed as often happens. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating and although the restaurant was busy and had several larger tables we were well taken care of. It is a tad noisy but there was a bustling bar scene and I think next time we’d ask to be seated a little further from that area. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back!
