Great neighborhood spot.
This is a classic rustic Italian place and the food is awesome.
We've been eating here for years. Everything on the menu is great. I really enjoy the homemade gnocchi, clams oreganata and a pizza margarita from their wood burning oven. Outstanding !
Always good very consistent
Overpriced mediocre food. Good service
We had a good meal. Service was good, but not great. Food was good - especially the calamari. The Tuscan Chicken was dry but the sauce was excellent.
This is a great go to restaurant for a solid meal. It has sidewalk seating for the nice weather.
Great place for a date or fancier dinner. Food is always fantastic. Can be a little noisier when crowded but an overall great ambiance.
A friend & I shared a wonderful Brunch/Lunch at Petaluma. The menu is creative and interesting with the food beautifully presented . The servings are very large, & can easily be shared. We ordered several things because we couldn't decide, & shared them all - Important to dine with "foodies" who enjoy sharing.
This used to be a great place. When the new owners took over they ruined it. The veal marsala was tough and the crust thicker than the veal. The rest of the meal was good but not extraordinary. The restaurant was nearly empty but that was probably because it was the day after July 4th.
hot !!!! kids should not be sitting in bar area at table. Put them in the back
Zoodles need to be dried before sauce is applied. The sauce was way too watery.
The drinks are good and this may be the strength of the bar and restaurant
For the money, you can do much better. They make pretty good pizza and even have gluten free pizza. Oddly, I found the PASTA was lacking. My shrimp scampi didn't taste like the 3 main components, pasta, shrimp and sauce were all cooked separately then put together on the plate. Plus, they leave the tails on the shrimp. What is that about? This is a pasta dish you eat with a fork, NOT a shrimp cocktail you might eat with your hands.
The pizza I ordered was delicious. Would recommend for that. I actually had to send back my cocktail! It was horrible, undrinkable. That's never happened. My partner's chicken dish was bland. Service is very nice there and we had a table in at the right side in back in the bar so the noise was muffled considerably from the main restaurant.
We like Petaluma very much, the food and atmosphere are very good., staff very pleasant.
This past Sat. evening, we sat in the front room and it was way too noisy.
At our table of 2 we couldn't hear one another speak.
There were too many people shouting when they were speaking.
I hope Petaluma will consider improving their acoustics.
Petaluma is that old reliable standby that you go to every now and then and never leaves you disappointed. Good time.
The service was nonexistent. No bread was brought to the table. Main dishes took 30+ minutes to come out. When we inquired the waiter said he’d check and then didn’t come back for 15 minutes, and only after we flagged him down for an explanation.
The food was fair.
The staff was great!
Lackluster sums it up the service was barely adequate the food only average the cutlery was dirty. The atmosphere was blah. I will not be running back here.
Great food and service! Excellent gluten free options
Good food at good price. Good for kids. Service was strong
Always love Petaluma! Brunch was perfect! Good choices and nice ambience.
I eat at the bar quite often but my friend opted for a table in the bar; she enjoyed it & food & service were both great.
This play was just _oh-kay_. Surprising that it was well-rated given all of the great options on the UES (I chose it due to the ratings). Service people were great but the atmosphere is cheap and the food was mediocre diner quality. Altho I heard that the pizza is yummy and they do cook it right to order, which is nice
Service was great but food was disappointing. Our caesar's salad was under-dressed and the branzino tasted like a frozen product without the flaky texture. Pizza had a little too much sauce which made the crust soggy. A neighborhood staple but didn't wow us.
Good service, but overpriced for average food.
The zoodle dishes are amazing!
Great food, drinks and atmosphere! My family really enjoyed eating here!
The brick oven pizza of truffle oil, mushrooms and goat cheese was absolutely delicious. The main dishes were all very well prepared and the pasta accompanying all was cooked perfectly al dente!!!
the table extensions need replacements as the table was on a slant on 2 sides where plates and utensils kept slipping which could have been a bigger deal if something fell on our clothes
First time for dinner. Numerous lunches and brunches. Pleasantly surprised with chicken and fish dishes. Delicious. Great local neighborhood spot! Great pizza too.
Love Petaluma! Rediscovered this gem and have been going back regularly. ♥️Brussels sprout salad, pizzas, zoodles! Pasta yummy too!
Atmosphere is lovely and service was attentive though the bread never arrived after several reminders. The food was middling and appetizers were overpriced. My fresh fish entree was excellent. Noise level was very high so our party of six hid out in the bar area but it quited down on a Saturday night around 8:30 pm.
Petaluma is a great place for an excellent meal. The staff are extremely friendly and service oriented. We love going there.
Great place, pizza and vibe
The food was good. Our waiter had a great personality and he was a very good accommodating waiter.
BUT WE COULD NOT WAIT TO LEAVE BECAUSE IT WAS SO LOUD
Great food and lovely service. I loved the zoodles with shrimp. Our server was delightful--a young man from Argentina who was so sweet. We all loved our meals and will return. Thanks!
Poor service and poor food.
The place was half empty and should go out of business soon.
A bad meal all the way around.
I had to leave before dining as the noise level was too high.
