   Pesce 2 is a cozy neighborhood restaurant perched on the second floor of a townhouse with a bagel bakery on the first floor. The set-up might look odd at first sight, but we found it quite comfortable a few nights ago. The staff was knowledgeable and really wanted us to enjoy the meal but were not intrusive. The menu of mostly Asian grilled meats and sliced salads met my desire for a light meal and an antidote for too much heavy Thanksgiving-Christmas feasting. Although there were four other parties of diners, the room was blissfully quiet. I could talk in a normal conversational tone without having to raise my voice, a relief after too many cacophonous dining places. The wine list was short but reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend the place to residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

   Place empty except for us and one other couple. Service still poor. At our table, though the other table were apparently acquainted with her , and got lot of attention. Noise level when busy would probably be very high. Food ok (not great, but ok) though selection quite limited. Don’t bother with the green papaya salad, which was flavorless on its own. Prices decent. Cocktail tasted odd, depended on bitter and served without. When she asked how it was, (still with no mention that a key ingredient was missing) and when told that it was more interesting than tasty, replied that she’d won an award for it. Still no mention that what she’d served was not the cocktail requested. Second round, (different drink), when asked for more bitters, she finally admitted to being out of them. Took one, but not both, off the bill. We won’t be back and don’t recommend this place.

   The food was just excellent. From the cocktails to the appetizers to the entrees to the after dinner drinks were mixed or cooked to perfection. Service first rate. This restaurant should not be a hidden gem!

   Very small venue. The wine list had two choices? The fish was good but menu was limited.

   Everything was very good but we felt the salad was very spicy for us. We LOVED the fish. It was really good!!!! Thanks for the experience

   Don't pass this up! Wonderful fish dishes that were exciting in conception and excellent in execution. Nice wine list. Loved it.

   Great new menu at Pesse 2 everything we had was delicious. Try the Curry dish and the small climbs with sausage. Excellent meal on The Hill.

   Delighted to find this satellite in our neighborhood. The food is really good: with the same concentration on seafood as the original Pesce. The wine we had was pricy but really good. With taste like that I’ll happily pay the price. Rain drove us off the balcony, but it is a really fine place to dine weather permiting.

    A very small space with delicious food & friendly service. Best cheesecake I've ever eaten!
