Food was delicious. Temperature in restaurant was much too warm. It was an uncharacteristically warm night, but restaurant was too warm from the moment we walked in.
Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Even though we wish the beer list was a bit more extensive, we will certainly go again!
As always when we plan to visit Pescados we are expecting bold flavors .This place is a hidden little gem in the heart of Midlothian ! We are never disappointed after our visit and would recommend to anyone wanting a different experience .We look forward to our next visit !!
Simply spectacular, as always ! On New Year's Eve the wait was quite short, setting is so much more of an upscale Caribbean than it once was, the food was fantastic, the presentation is pure art, and the staff was as friendly as ever. Our little Midoothian secret. The WestENders don't know what they are missing. Shhh......
We had an excellent New Years Eve dinner. The service was very prompt. If anything they could have slowed down a little. Entree came out within 5 min of clearing our appetizers. We both had fish. The fried snapper special was very well presented and cook perfectly. The head was on the fish so if that's an issue you may want something else. The salmon was also very good and cooked perfectly. We will return
The food did not come to the table hot which is not their standard.
Restaurant was not busy.
The food had nice appearance and taste but not hot when arrived to table.
Service was excellent. Appetizer was very good...my wife ordered the Salmon special, which she stated was good but came to table luke-warm. My Enchilada Acapulco was excellent as always. The desert which was a Key Lime something...had barely a lime flavor, kind of disappointing. Thus the lukewarm meal and flavorless desert comes to 4 stars.
The meal was excellent. Best oysters I have had in a while and just had them at The Jefferson! Love the grilled zucchini and saffron potato puffs are the best.
We don't go here often, but when we do it's always a winner! A little pricey, but well worth it.
Food was nothing special.
Excellent food. Ask for the Marisco dish
Mahi was way over cooked , I only at 1/2 of it , menu never changes , but I do like this restaurant
Delicious food in a fun atmosphere. Get the calamari appetizer!
Oyster dinner was great as were the conch fritters! Always good no matter what you order! Very friendly servers!
The meal was fine but not extraordinary. I used to love this place. It needs a refresh.
One of the few restaurants I can't find anything to complain about. Professional and delicious!!!
The food is delicious and brought out straight from the kitchen. The preparation is unique and tasty.
The lime scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious! Two people at our table order the Marisco and they said it was perfectly spicy and delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely go back.
Loved the shrimp tacos. I’ll bring my wife back for her birthday.
Food was great
Megan is a great waitress
Everything was yummy and enjoyed catching up with a friend there
We have been to Pescados numerous times and have our favorites. We have taken friends and family.
Always a great meal!
We had a reservation for 4 for a birthday dinner. My husband and I arrived before our two children. The two hostesses refused to seat us until the entire party of 4 arrived. The restaurant was NOT busy. I asked to speak to the owner and/or manager. Both hostesses only knew the first name of the owner -- which was odd -- and said that she was not available. We never saw a manager. Eventually, we were seated. Our waitress, whom we have had before, did a fine job. The menu no longer has any beef dishes. Two of us had the Seafood Enchilada which had shrimp and some claw crab meat -- it used to be more substantial. This is one of my husband's favorite restaurants and the occasion was his birthday. Because of the hassle and quality of the food, I would not recommend Pescados to a friend.
We popped in for happy hour specials. The calamari and crab nachos were delicious!
The daily special was whole redfish: head, tail, bones, and all. A bit of work for eating, but worth the effort - delicious!
Such a fabulous place! My favorite entree is the Enchilada Acapulco. The crab cakes are also delicious. Don’t forget to order the voodoo shrimp!
As always food was awesome !! These folks know how to make flavors POP even down to the simplest of dishes .
The food was very good and the grilled calamari was outstanding. Service is also very good. The server was personal, attentive, and friendly. Love the Caribbean motif. Sat outside on a beautiful evening and had a delightful experience. Great place to meet friends.
Located in one of the most unlikely places, Pescados is a hidden neighborhood gem. Over the years it has evolved and changed from a culinary standpoint but the food is always terrific and it never disappoints. It seems to be more Mexican or Latin in its influences these days, a change from its previous Island iteration but some old favorites remain. The seafood, the core of its menu, is fresh and delicious, seasoned remarkably well. It’s not cheap to eat here but given the food it serves, it is a reasonably good value. Jeans and casual dress ate the dress code and the place can get noisy at times, albeit not as loud as some other venues we’ve enjoyed in the Richmond area. If you’ve been here before, rest assured that Pescados is as good as ever. If you’ve never been here, y’all need to check them out sometime soon because you don’t know what you’re missing.
Our first visit. Great service, delicious food. What a find - we’ll definitely be back.
Great food and service
Voodoo shrimp was the oddest combo but it was delish. I got the crab cakes & they were perfect. I want to try everything. Service was fast & our waitress Megan was very nice.
Have been there several times. I ordered fried oysters. They were not crispy. Used cornmeal for breading which might have been the problem. Other than that all was good.
Loved everything about this place. Customer Service was great! Seasoning/flavors on the food was out of this world. We left full and satisfied.
Wasn’t a great experience. Service Poor. Long. Long Wait. Having to find staff to assist. Not clear who waiter was, food not great, glasses dirty. Will not go back and do not recommend.
A pleasant experience - with limited but varied seafood menu. Good service - a nice and different dining experience with the Caribbean influence not experienced elsewhere.
