We had not been to Pescados in years and decided to meet friends there on Saturday night. The food and service were great! The decor is so cute and almost festive for a fish restaurant. The only problem was the lighting. Too bright!! Other than that we have a delicious meal and a good time overall. I really recommend the "key lime pie"!
Pescados has been one of my favorites for years . The food is always fresh and the service is excellent
We have been there twice, and both times were excellent. We had the Shrimp Tuesday Taco special on this visit and they were delicious!
Love it every time I go.
The food was delicious, especially the tile fish special. I like the convenient Midlothian location.
Would like to see more sandwiches on the menu. Waitress was excellent! Meal arrived very quickly and was hot.
My friend and I ate lunch here today and it was amazing. The service was great from the moment I walked in. The server suggested a menu item and it was amazing. We had chips and salsa while we waited for our meal and the salsa was very tasty as well. I knew the moment my meal was set in front of me that it would be good, because it smelled good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal today. We will definitely be returning!
They claimed the seafood was fresh, but it didn't taste fresh. Margarita also didn't taste freshly made. Server was attentive, but food/drink was unimpressive.
I have eaten at this restaurant many times and it is interesting and good. We had a bad experience this time. The four people at the next table had been in the bar for some time and were practically screaming by the time they sat down. I eat at lots of restaurants so I'm used to loud noise but this was really unbelievable. The waitress seemed to enjoy them and certainly did nothing to quieten them down. I think she was encouraging them in hopes of earning a nice tip. You could tell by looking at the people at the other table that everyone was unhappy. I was surprised that the restaurant did not have someone monitoring the dining room. My wife and I paid about $65 and could not wait to get out of that restaurant. We must eat restaurants three times each week (for many, many years) and this was the loudest experience I can ever remember.
I love the relaxed island vibe. The food was great. I've been to Pescados at least a dozen or more times and they are consistently great. You can pick anything on the menu and I guarantee you will enjoy it. I gave 4 stars because I am pretty picky and a strict grader. The appetizers were to die for. I've had the Marisco entree a couple of times and this one, even though it was good, was a little different from the others. It would have been better if it was a little spicier and accented with a little seafood stock just to keep it from tasting too much like a marinara sauce with celery & carrots. Everyone else raved about their dishes. I highly recommend the avocado tart for dessert. It is better than key lime pie.
The food was amazing as always! We had a great waiter and he provided prompt and delightful service to my wife and I. Will definitely be back again for another date night!
We had a lovely dinner, great food as usual! We were a group of 10 and asked at the last minute to add 2 more. You would not accommodate us. I know it was last minute but I feel like you could have fit them in.
This is the best restaurant in Midlothian. Fine dining at a reasonable price. Always great!
Crab cakes were outstanding and the Brussel Sprouts are a must!!
One of my favorite restaurants in VA so far. Great food, beautiful presentation, and very good service.
We LOVE Pescados. The food is always fresh and consistently delicious. The drinks are well poured. Our waitress was attentive without being obnoxious. We can’t wait to go back again.
really enjoyed our evening out . food was grade A, our server was very good. Bar attendants could be a little more hospitable.
Loved it as always. Great spot to gather with friends and enjoy a fanatastic meal.
Celebrating valentines day late
Everything was excellent! Food and service were outstanding.
Oh my gosh, where to start? It’s Valentines Day and my husband and I decided to go out to lunch while the kids are at school. I looked up restaurants in the area and noticed Pescados had pretty good reviews. I made reservations just in case it would be busy. When we arrived, the girl at the front looked annoyed. She never greeted us nor said anything other than hold on. She ran off for a little bit still no greeting, no smile even, just grabbed two menus to take us to the table. When we sat down we waited a long while before a waiter came to the table. It wasn’t busy in the restaurant at all. He brought us chips and salsa and ran off without saying anything. My husband dug in and got a lovely hair in the salsa. So gross! The waiter came back and gave no real greeting just opened by saying, what would you like to drink? No smile too. My husband and I just laughed it off, it was awkward. When we finally got our food you could tell it had been sitting in the back for a while. The beans were crusted over. While joking to each other how it would be our luck that a well reviewed restaurant would end up like this, my husband noticed the water glass I was holding had a huge dirty ring around the inside. Upon further inspection he had a couple dirty spots on his. We asked for the check and got out of there. We’ll never forget this Valentines Day lol. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant! It was a disaster lunch!
Not cheap but food is outstanding. Service was marginal - server not real attentive and service was slow.
Happy hour specials are outstanding both apps and drinks. House wine leaves much to be desired.
Service was really slow. We were seated in the corner and was forgotten. Complimentary chips were served after 30 min after being seated. Food was great but overall will not be going back.
We lucked out and got a Friday evening reservation just an hour in advance. Had a little wait for our table but that was ok. Had a stiff drink at the bar. Wait staff was great. The Best seafood chowder around and I eat out a lot. It was seasoned perfectly and actually had shrimp and crab meat in it. Also had the beet salad (was able to share) and the shrimp and scallop appetizer. Was very pleased with my meal. My husband felt the whole snapper he ordered was deep fried too hard and was a little dry. Overall, we enjoyed Pescados will recommend it to friends and definitely will return.
Great meal - cozy & we could talk to the other couple without screaming.
This is my and my wife’s favorite restaurant. We’ve never had a bad meal. It’s not extremely expensive or reasonable. A good meal without drinks will cost a couple $50-$60 without tip. But the taste and quality of the food is well worth the price.
Probably wouldn't recommend the food but service was amazing
Great food, superior service!
Even though there was a problem with our reservation due to overbooking the staff were accommodating and gracious. We waited in the bar area and, when seated, were pleased to enjoy a most delicious meal! Wonderfully fresh and flavorful. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Waited 40 mins and had reservations, ridiculous, food was ok.
The nine of us sat at one table in alcove area with bay window ....... just perfect‼️ Wonderful service and fabulous food
The food lived up to the hype! Very delicious, all four of us really enjoyed our meals. We will be coming back!
Our entire experience was great! Our server greeted us quickly and was knowledgeable about the menu and able to make delicious recommendations! The apps and entrees were all fresh, creative and tasteful! I would highly recommend Pescado’s, and if you don’t live in the area- it’s definitely worth the drive!
Has maintained food standards over the years xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Pescados is just an amazing restaurant that we have re-discovered. We ate there several times a few years ago and loved it. And then life happened, and we hadn’t been back for a while. That changed a couple of weeks ago after we moved to Midlothian and now live less than ten minutes away. What I remember from before was how well they cooked seafood and how innovative their specials were. That is still the case. We’ve had scallops, Corvina, salmon and the awesome Snapper Cancun between us. All of them were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I’m anxious to try everything on the menu, but I keep getting attracted to the specials. Eventually, I’ll make it through the menu. But, we will not be able to eat there and pass on the Voodoo Shrimp appetizer. It is incredible! We’ve had it mild both times, but I want to try the “intensely hot” version just to see how hot it is. Mild is not very hot, deliciously spicy, but not hot. Fortunately, our server, the first time we tried the Voodoo Shrimp, spent time describing it in detail and telling us how to eat it...take the big knife that comes with it and cut it all up into bite-size pieces, mix it all up, then enjoy! It is just the best! And speaking of servers, the servers at Pescados know their menu inside and out and do a terrific job of describing the dishes in detail. I have watched as other servers have handled describing the menu items and taking orders. The service is efficient and congenial and obviously well trained. Now that we are in the neighborhood, I see frequent visits to Pescados in our future.
Our meals, as always, were fantastic! Great taste, cooked to perfection. Everyone in our group was quite satisfied.
Another wonderful experience at Pescados! Our server, Dylan, was awesome! He knew the menu items well, and it seemed that it was a real pleasure for him to serve us. My wife started with the Run Punch and said it was mixed just right. I had the red Sangria; just enough bite! My wife had the Enchilada; she said it was so delicious! I had the Marisco; still the best dish I've ever eaten. We finished with the seasonal cheesecake; it didn't disappoint! The atmosphere is very laid back and friendly here. We'll certainly be back again!
Crab cakes were excellent and wine was good price during happy hour. Wife and I enjoyed ourselves
Always outstanding food that the Chef mixes up so the menu stays fresh.
