Iranian chef, Farshad Moradi, is a native of Tabriz and he used to own a restaurant on the island of Kish, a popular tourist destination in Iran. Moradi serves classic Persian dishes, like marinated filet mignon kabobs and stews including gheimeh, made with yellow peas and slow cooked lamb; and ghormeh sabzi, a meaty, herb-flecked stew with fenugreek. There are also plenty of wine and beer selections available at Persian Nights in Oakland.

I will definitely be coming back again! Our server provided amazing service and assistance with the menu. They had some of the best pita bread that I’ve ever had. The price point was impeccable as well. I could not recommend it more!

We came for the Persian nights at Bacheesos and the food was delicious! Since we are both vegan, we really appreciated that they had vegan options, which is rare for Persian restaurants. We tried the vegan gormeh sabzi and vegan geimeh bademjan and both were tasty. They came with rice with tahdig that was well made. Additionally, our waiter was very nice and friendly. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We highly recommend this place!

Did not like how they Cancelled my reservation TWICE. I'm guessing they didn't want to pay the fee for my reservation thru OPENTABLE.

We came for Oakland Restaurant Week. The dinner began with hummus and pita bread. The hummus was thinner than I am accustomed but very delicious with a nice garlicky taste. The salad was a typical Greek salad with cucumbers, tomato, and peppers and very fresh. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. They were laid upon a bed of rice topped with a roasted tomato. All in all, it was delicious and we will be back. The one negative is that we were served and charged for the higher price white wine which was not what we ordered.
