Birthday meal and restaurant week - first time at Perry's. Heard so much hyperbole about the food. Though the ambiance was lavish and the service attentive, I felt the food was not remarkable for the price. Perhaps, a better value at other restaurants. Appreciated lovely birthday presentation, but overall, I felt oversold with drinks, special preparations and side items. I know that's the blessing and the curse of RW. ;-)
I opted to move away from Perry's wheelhouse of steak and signature pork chop. I wanted to know how they would do with the other alternative steakhouse classic, sea bass. The result was good, but not great. The fish was cooked perfectly. It was presented on a bed, beautifully plated, of creamed corn and a red pepper coulis. The corn and coulis were not in my wheelhouse for happiness, but it is well executed. i would rather have a green.
Gaby & I Loved Perry's. We enjoyed celebrating our Anniversary at Perry's
We came here for Restaurant Week. Salads were too salty and my mom got a big cabbage root. The outside of my steak is over cooked.
Never falls short of service. I ordered the escargot as a starter, then steamed lobster tail, lamp chops, truffle potato wedges, with spinach. Everything was excellent!
Food was outstanding however our service was very poor. We watched our server take care of everyone else during our anniversary but rarely come over to check on us. We watched other tables get roses on their tables for a celebration but we were never even offered this. Ticket times for apps were around 20 minutes, never got our bread, and at the end we felt like we were rushed at getting out of the restaurant. Needless to say for our first experience we were highly dissatisfied. We will not be going back to that location.
Nice setting. Very good food!
It’s not our first time here but we went for Dallas Restaurant week and service was still excellent. I had the 8 oz bacon wrap filet and The calamari for an appetizer. The calamari is a little spice but I love it that way. Our friends had the crab cake for starters and that was delicious!! The filet was nice and tender & juicy. Alexander, waiter, did a terrific job as well. I’m sure I’ll be back
My wife and I made our first visit to Perry's this past weekend for our anniversary and it was superb. Very cool interior and setting. The food, oh man, the food. My bone-in prime ribeye was cooked to medium-rare perfection and seared with a wonderful light crust. My wife's filet was the bee's knees as well. So, steaks were great, and we honestly kind of expected them to be pretty great as Perry's has a solid reputation for great steaks. But I thought where they really stood out was in the selection and quality of sides. Just superlative. We had the mushroom cauliflower risotto - unique in appearance and flavor - just really stood out as a special side dish. And I know some people may feel brussel sprouts are a bit of a fad that's kind of played out, but, wow, Perry's take on them was great - sriracha is blended in the mix with theirs - a light hand was used to create just the right subtle amount of zip, while the sprouts themselves found the perfect landing spot between tender and touch of light crunch. Just loved the sides. Great wine selection too. Our service from Alexander was excellent. The staff works as a team to keep glasses full and the table clean without being intrusive. A couple of check-ins from managers passing by was nice too.
And I've gotta say, as far as high-end steakhouses go, this was about as reasonably priced as it gets for as high quality dining experience as you'll find in town.
And a side note - we'll definitely be back - gotta try the pork chop we saw being prepared and served tableside near us. Um, you'll have to see it to understand, but it was huge and amazing looking, and when it was cut open the most wonderful smell emanated from it - I must have it.
Perry's always delivers. The uptown location has never let me down. Both the food and service are consistently exceptional. Two thumbs up!!!
I have never had a bad experience there EVER! The food and service are awesome! Top notch hands down.
Restaurant and bar are very nice, great selection of drinks! The filet was very fatty and I was only able to eat half of it which was disappointing. The sides were great and enough to feed several people.
I'm a fan of Perry's but on this visit I was slightly disappointed in the meal and service. The service was very slow. Maybe we should have mentioned it was a business lunch and needed to get rolling quickly. I ordered the tomato basil pasta with grilled beef tenderloin. It was extremely overloaded with diced tomatoes; I had to dig around for the pasta and the four small beef medallions. I love Perry's and will just stick to dishes with beef and mashed potatoes.
Excellent Service and very nice. Everything and everyone
Perry's is in the 4 of our all-time favorites! You should go.
Was a little disappointed at the table I was given since I specifically said I wanted something not in the middle of the restaurant.
I brought my eighty-year-old aunt and I was hoping for something a little more cozy and quiet but was given a table in the middle of the restaurant.
I had requested on OpenTable or something cozy and quiet but our server Mark was really good and the food was delicious.
It was my husband's birthday and wanted him to feel special!
We enjoy the food, the ambiance was okay, but it was a bit too dark for my taste. The music was just right - not too loud, and the service was great!
The reason I didn't give Perry's Steakhouse five starts was because after we finished our dinner, I was expecting for them to bring us a small cake, dessert or ice cream as many restaurants do when celebrating a birthday. Little perks like these make people feel quite unique and really make a difference between a good place and an excellent one!
Celebrating our anniversary!
Perry's has the best pork chops in Dallas, or possibly in the universe. Pork Chop Friday is a real steal - great value for an extraordinary meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and elegant, and the service is excellent.
Perry's never disappoints. Daniel worked the bar and he is awesome.
Food was excellent, service was not what we have had in the past. Never saw our waiter after we ordered. No one asked if our food was ok (it was) Were they mad b/c we switched tables - way too Tablsmall! And they put 4 large guys at the table we moved from! We’re they mad b/c we asked about the Anniversary special? “I guess I could get you the menu” Waiter asked if we wanted bread & then never brought it. When we asked about it he said oh we usually bring it out later. Drinks were slow to arrive. “Oh I haven’t been to bar yet” was our waiter’s response. Wow. Usually service is as good as the food. Not this time.
The overall experience was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone the food was kind of pricey but if you have the money why not or want to make a memory with a loved one do it the live music was great and the seating was perfect.
I love the intamacy of the restaurant. The food was amazing, everything from the fried asparagus with crab meat to the most flavorful pork chop I've ever had. The food came out in a timely manner, staff was welcoming and friendly. Will definitely dine again.
Perry’s was very good overall , however there were just a couple of reasons for not getting all 5 stars. First, I thought the dinner came out too soon after the appetizers. This is the type of restaurant you don’t want to feel rushed in and we had just finished our soup when the main course came out. Second, while I love well seasoned and salted food, I felt like this bordered on being a bit too salty. Finally , we were seated in a separate little dining area and there was a very loud large party that took over the ambience of the room. While this isn’t necessarily the restaurant’s fault , they probably shouldn’t have put a large party in a small quiet area. Overall it was a nice experience though and the waitstaff was superb!
Wonderful place...will definitely come back!!! Food was excellent, and the service was phenomenal
I set a surprise reservation for my babe birthday!!! The food was great, our waitress was absolutely great any questions we had or suggestion she was right on it! Perry’s did a wonderful job!!
Perry's is always exceptional and the food phenomenal!
Everything was great! Pedro was our waiter and he was fantastic !
Went there for their Friday's pork chop special. It was awesome and will be back again!
My second time here and it was amazing!! I brought my grandma and she loved it!
The Best Pork Chop - Enough for 2 Meals
Salads, and Deserts were excellent
Ambience perfect for carrying on a conversation even with
the live music
Service very attentive and efficient
This restaurant location never disappoints
Food was fantastic! Service was friendly and attentive.
Food is very good well worth the money, staff very friendly and knew the manu up and down very helpful.
My Brother and his fiances food was not made to their specification. The steak had to be cooked twice. On the flipside the service was very good and our (my husband and my) food was exceptional.
Great food but service was less than satisfactory. Our waiter never came back to check on our party. He did the bare minimum.
Everything was great but it took to long for our food to come out the food was great even though it took so long to come out
Perry's was amazing! We went for my daughter's birthday, the July Anniversary special is always a great value! The food is wonderful, and the service was amazing!
Friday Pork chop lunch, the best value for eating in Dallas for years.
Excellent Birthday celebration with a good friend! It was her first time at Perry's and she was amazed by the Pork Chop Friday special. As always the service was great, our waiter was a gem. I can hardly wait to go back.
