Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Uptown Dallas Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I first experience for our 19th anniversary. I was beyond our expectations!! Complimentary dessert was unexpected and very tasty! We were so impressed we will definitely be back. Our server was great and evened showed my wife how to cut the famous Perry Pork Chop with our making her feel bad. Awesome place thanks so much
I've dined there several times before therefore it made the list for this visit. Everything was in order in regard to the reservation being made on line and the special requests. Price is a little high but certainly in line with the competition. I will say the cocktails are skimpy, I mentioned that to our waiter and the second round came in a larger glass with more ice but regrettably another disappointing measure. I will remember that next time and probably go elsewhere for a while but definitely be back at some point.
Really. ... the seafood is questionable A real stretch for you and with seafood desires. The fish, oysters, it's all mediocre. To me this was more but I'll Beyonce anything. If you're going to really good food and great chef preparations I would do Trulucks in a heartbeat
Everyone we encountered in the restaurant was courteous, engaging, and professional. Valet was quick and efficient. We were seated immediately after arriving for our reservation. Service was great—the right amount of attention without being overbearing. Food was delicious—The pork chop is a must-have, especially for first-time diners. Very cool tableside presentation of the dessert we ordered as well. Can’t wait to return!
From the coat check, to the bar with Evelyn as our server, to the maitre d who put rose petals on our table to our server, Pedro, it was a special night. They were all quite attentive without bring intrusive. The food, especially the crab cakes and the white chocolate cheesecake, was absolutely scrumptious. I cannot forget the service of the valet who made certain I did not get wet while entering my car on a cold rainy night.
My wife and I went for our 20th anniversary. First time here. We went because of the great reviews. After the meal I have to say I don't get it. My ribeye was gristly all the way through. Could not chew through it. Had to cut into bites small enough to swallow. There wasn't much flavor in the steak either. Maybe some salt? Wife's NY strip steak wasn't gristly but had a burnt crust. Had to cut that off. Mind you these are $50 each.
I was out of town in Dallas, TX for New Years and dined at Perry's with my significant other. This was second time at Perry's, as the first time I attended the location in Austin, TX. I recall having lack luster service the first time, but remembered the food was good, so I wanted to give the restaurant another try.
The waiter was nice, but lacked the sophisticated professionalism that you typically get with service at high end restaurants. We ordered the seafood tower as an appetizer and there didn't seem to be enough seafood to compensate for the price. However, this is typical at high end restaurants so it was not a major concern. I ordered the kabob tower which was good, but did not come out warm so I was a bit disappointed.
My significant other ordered the 12 oz bone in filet, and a side of broccoli. Again, the entre seemed over priced for what was provided. The steak was small, and there seemed to be more bone than meat. Then the waiter forgot to bring out the broccoli, and by the time we received it we had finished our food so we told him that we did not want it. The waiter seemed to catch a slight attitude, and disappeared for a few.
The manager then came by to offer us free dessert to make up for the steak, and I ordered the crème brule, while my partner just ordered tea. When the bill came the waiter still charged us for the dessert and tea. We told him that his manager offered it free to us as a courtesy, and he took off the dessert, but still charged for the tea. We notified the manager and also expressed our disappointment with the service. He apologized but did not offer anything else to make up for the disappointment.
Considering this is a higher end restaurant, I expected a lot more in service and food. I loved the ambiance and décor, but after going to Perry's twice and having bad service both times, I will not be returning.
My wife and I went to Perry's for her birthday ! We had the best time ! Patrick our server was simply the best . Great recommendations , very knowledgeable about the menu. Great scene. The menu is very eclectic! I've already recommended Perry s to many people. I manage a hotel in Downtown and just this morning , I told some guest about Perry's for dinner tonight.
Great ambience, multiple levels, soft lighting. Service was attentive and friendly. My New York Strip was delicious and tender done medium. I sampled the Pork Chop from another plate and it was equally delicious. First visit, I will be back and definitely recommend.
The service is a team approach and my table felt like a racetrack. Servers constantly coming and going, different servers. Some may like this for a clean efficient table, but I found it unsettling almost like a cafeteria. That said the food was excellent and the wine selection, even by the glass, is elite.
We recently moved to Granbury from Houston where we frequently ate at Perry's Memorial City. So when planning a special family event, we voted unanimously to make the drive to Dallas and try Perry's Uptown. We were not disappointed! Delicious steaks cooked to perfection. Our favorite sides were also perfectly prepared -- fried asparagus, corn and lobster mac n cheese. And a great wine. Perry's is at the top of our list!
We came to Perry’s after seeing a production at the Winspear opera house. From the moment we stepped out of the car at the valet station to the time we left two hours later, our hearts were full - and so were our stomachs! We were there to celebrate our 13 year old daughter’s birthday and the wait staff were so attentive to that the entire evening. She felt very special with the lovely red rose petals placed down the middle of the table! We enjoyed filet mignon and macaroni and cheese, and my husband ordered the renoun pork chop-wow! Dessert of chocolate chip bread pudding and a special small triple plate for our daughter. The live music in the adjoining bar was fantastic- great job, Will! Great ambiance and menu!
We discovered Perry’s in Clear Lake 15 years ago. When we moved to Dallas and found out Perry’s was here we were excited. Our son wanted to celebrate his 18th birthday at Perry’s so we did. We were seated in a nice little dining room with just a few tables. There was only one table already seated. We were greeted by our waiter timely and he took our drink order. It took a while for the drinks to be served but no worries. It gave us time to look over the menu. We ordered and were served rather quickly. The food was very good as always but the desert experience was disappointing. Overall it was a good evening.
Went to Perry's after Christmas Eve mass, our reservation was at 8:30, however we arrived early and they were happy to seat us early.
The server was very knowledgeable and help make recommendations, the food was amazing.
To begin with we enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and the recommended sea scallops wrapped in bacon. We had the grilled sea bass, the filet mignon and the surf and turf with mashed potatoes and creamed corn on the side. We finished off with one of the flambe's. All dishes were amazing and we left with left overs.
The atmosphere was nice, but not stuffy, comfortable and relaxing.
We will definitely be back.
