Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - The Woodlands Ratings and Reviews
Went for a girl’s lunch birthday party. It was fun and food was delicious but noise level a little high. The seating also felt a little cramped. Have found that sometimes this restaurant is not good for romantic dinners, anniversaries, etc. because of the noise level. We always ask to be seated away from the bar area which helps. Service was excellent. They had red rose petals spread on table for a birthday celebration which is what they use for romantic events, so I thought we were at the wrong table. When I pointed that out, they said it’s what they use for a girl’s birthday. Seems like they could at least use another color rose petal for birthdays. Would be a little more festive and and differentiate to keep them special. Overall, an excellent restaurant.
I just love Perry's. You know, even though it's huge and has several dining areas, it still feels "cozy," and they always manage to deliver on the elegant environment - from the decor selections to the lighting.
Our server was EXCELLENT. He had served us before... just the right amount of understated attention and a really polished yet friendly and unpretentious presentation.
Dinner, as always, was just stellar. I don't think I've EVER had a single complaint about the food here. I was so happy to see the addition of the Beef Carpaccio! It was fantastic! I also loved being able to add the bone marrow to my ribeye... divine.
So, this was the first time in YEARS dining here that I ventured away from their legendary pork chop, because I just figured I should try something different. And my steak was amazing! But I did miss having the delicious pork chop leftovers the next day. Next time!
I phoned a few days ahead and spoke with Chef Chris to let him know I was vegan he made a special vegan appetizer for the whole table to enjoy. There were 4 of us but I am the only vegan. He prepared a special vegan pasta dish that was amazing. Our server, Hyatt was perfect.
The pork chop is amazing and should be shared by two people. The prices are very high and the drinks and appetizers are over priced.
The experience and ambience is very nice but know you are paying a high premium as they have raised their prices in the past few months and makes it a very expensive date or couples night out.
The service was really bad and we had been to this location many times and NEVER had such bad service and the food was dry. We had problems from the moment we sat down. Rude waiter, food came out at the same time (appetizer, soup and salads) felt rushed. Food was dry all of it. No service! We had also asked the waiter in the beginning if they had any specials and he said nooooo . So when we got the bill they showed the specials that he said they didn't have. But he did tell the manager that we didn't ask for and she did give us a credit on the bill. But I won't be going back it was everything. So sorry to see that because they use to be really good.
We recently had dinner with friends and, as usual, Perry's was outstanding with service, ambience and cuisine!! We all had Perry's signature five finger pork chops and they were prepared perfectly....moist and tender and everyone raved about the taste. Our server was prompt and attentive and the evening was perfect. The only complaint would be that the air conditioning kept coming on and going off so we were needing our jackets at times. Perry's has never disappointed us!! We love their happy hours, too!
We went to Perry's for my husband's birthday, which coincidentally falls on New Years Eve. I informed the restaurant of the occasion and asked if they would mind making it special for him. They told me he would get a complimentary dessert. Unfortunately, I guess they didn't realize that they were having a prix fixe menu, which included the dessert regardless. Not a huge deal. When we got to the restaurant, we checked in and had a short wait before heading to our table. Our waiter was terrible. I understand it was a very busy evening and a holiday, so I'm sure he did not want to be working, but he should have stepped up and delivered better customer service, considering how much we were paying and the tip he could have made. He never once offered us bread, as many other tables received. Once we received our food, he briefly stopped by our table to check on us - once. And that was it. Deplorable. This was our first time at Perry's and likely will be our last.
Have been to this location numerous times. Always have consistently good food. This visit was for New Year’s Eve. Was pleasantly surprised with the large number of choices on the fixed menu. With heavier than usual crowds, they out did themselves. Food was even better than usual. Very nice atmosphere.
Service was impeccable. Our server Samantha was attentive, helpful, and exceptionally professional. The food was prepared quickly, but not so fast as to feel as if you were rushed. Samantha’s suggestions were spot on. The Friday lunch serving of the pork chops was more than enough for even the heartiest of appetites. We enjoyed ourselves, shared lots of excellent conversation, were not disturbed at all by other patrons. We would highly recommend the Friday lunch for any occasion, even just having lunch. Prices were as expected for Perry’s and the wine selection was adequate for us.
My food choices were not that good. Started out with the trio martinis and they were just okay. I ordered the lamb chops med/med well - not tender at all and flavorless. The waiter did ask me how I liked it, but I just wasn't in the mood to complain as I was out with family and just wanted to eat. The stuffed baked potato was just average. Had bananas foster for dessert. The tableside presentation was nice, but the dessert wasn't good to me. Overall, I didn't feel the meal was a good value.
Minus 1 star for check in process with hostess. We checked in with a res through open table and she proceeded to seat a party that checked in right after us - same number of people. Terrible. She then proceeded to tell me that they’re setting up a table for us - right by the door and the restaurant wasn’t full! I reminded that we had a reservation and she then proceeded to seat us in another location. Luckily the food is good and our waiter did a better job with service. Otherwise, hostess could’ve blown it, if we’ve never eaten there before. How embarrassing in front of family visiting.
Food was good. Husband didn’t like the butter all over the steak so manager fixed the problem and took off the bill. Escargot and pork chop was out of this world. Waiter was ok but not spectacular like we normally have . We were the last patron and seemed that cleaning wine glasses were more important than making sure we were ok
