Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - The Woodlands Ratings and Reviews
Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal with the exception of the Southwest Filet, which was not very tender for a filet and there was a lot of tough strings running thru the meat... it was ordered rare, and served that way. Otherwise all the food was delicious!
For the prices you charge, either a dinner salad, vegetable, or potato should be included. When you are hosting, guests are not comfortable adding any additions to the already high prices of the entrée.
This reservation was for my son’s 18th birthday. He wanted to bring his best friends for a special lunch and I had noted this was a birthday on the reservation. The hostess and servers treated them very poorly, seating them in the very back corner and giving them really slow, uninterested service. This was supposed to be a special lunch, and they were really looking forward to it, but the staff was super rude, because they were teenage boys, I’m assuming. These were 5 awesome kids, who are polite and love this restaurant and dine here often with their families. I was so very sad that they were treated poorly, it was really mean, especially on a birthday.
Overall great experience. We started with the fried asparagus (first time for that) and it was scrumptious. I had read some reviews that recommended the Pork Chop over the steaks. That's what we ordered for our entree (shared and had leftovers) and it was simply amazing! Sides are family style, we had the au gratin potatoes and they were very good as were the salads (I had the wedge, wife had the spinach with warm bacon dressing). The service was very good. It's pricey with everything ala carte but the food quality was top notch.
What has happened to Perry's? It used to be SO good. My husband and I had dined at Perry's in The Woodlands since it opened. We were loyal customers. However, last night's dining experience was average, not anything like we'd come to expect. Granted I'm now living in TX cattle country. The steak we eat now is far superior to Perry's & the service & ambience every bit as good. We were visiting from out of town & thought Perry's would be the best place to dine. Wrong! Chuy's 2 days earlier was on par with Perry's & it's A LOT less expensive. At least we now know & won't miss Perry's. HUGE FAIL!!
My wife and I went to Perry's for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was very pleasant and very attentive. Took very good care of us. The food was not as good as we expected based on the price. My steak was not cooked to my liking and was not as lean. My wife's steak tasted salty. The lobster mac and cheese could have been better. We made the best of it and still enjoyed our evening, but I would probably not return for a special occasion again.
We had not been to Perry’s in quite sometime as our last experience was not as expected. That being said, we decided to try it again today for lunch to celebrate my Mother-in-law coming down from Ohio. We were placed in the small private room which was an absolute surprise and delight. Service was fantastic and the food was by far the best we have ever had at Perry’s or any other steakhouse in The Woodlands. Our filet’s were cooked to perfection. Lightly crusted on the outside and juicy on the inside. I remember now why Perry’s continues to be our favorite restaurant and look forward to dining again there soon. Thank you for not just a wonderful meal for us, but a wonderful experience for our entire family!
My sweetie and I dined at Perry's to celebrate his birthday. It was our first time and the entire experience was PERFECT!! The food was AMAZING and the service was OUTSTANDING. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. They were tender, juicy and flavorful. If you don't try ANYTHING else....try the au gratin potatoes!! They are SINFUL!!
Perry's came highly recommended to me for upscale dining. Food was excellent. Eric, our waiter, was very patient and accommodating, which made my wife's birthday meal very pleasant. Wife had surf and turf which she complimented. I had the signature pork chop which was unbelievable delicious and came in a generous portion. Even the pork chop left over was delicious. The wine list was broad, but of course, overpriced of what you can purchase yourself. We really enjoyed the ambience, but maybe next time, will request to sit near the bar where we can hear/see the pianist better. The music was piped throughout the restaurant, which was good, but always better to see in person. For a very romantic upscale dining, Perry's is a great option.
Wonderful way to celebrate my birthday! Loved the red rose petals on the white tablecloth, the romantic ambiance of candles and soft lighting, and the excellent service and friendly demeanor of the waiters and front desk staff. the "Mile high" pork chop dinner was excellent - tender, delicious, full of flavor and plentiful. I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived home to find that the waiter had included in my take-home box extra potatoes, applesauce and bread to go with my remaining pork chop . That's an extra special touch which sets Perry's apart and makes me want to keep coming back and to recommend Perry's to others. The complimentary birthday treat was delicious, and so graciously done including the extra utensil for my husband to share in the sampling. Thank you for a perfect dining experience! Along with all those things, the friendliness of the staff made it warm and welcoming . Congratulations on being able to achieve something that other restaurants are seldom able to duplicate.
Went on Friday afternoon for the late lunch. We both had the pork chop, lunch portion. It was still a giant pork chop and wonderful tasting. But we could have shared one and perhaps still not finished it. Anyway, the left overs made for a nice dinner at home. The creamed spinach was really good and the mashed potatoes were also good. The Cesare salad we both agreed was outstanding. The atmosphere can be described as understated elegance. Quiet and wonderful. I highly recommend Perry's.
