Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Sugar Land Ratings and Reviews
My overall experience was okay, it could have been better. The receptionist was rude, she didn't seem to care we had arrived 10 minutes early. She just went about her business as if we weren't there. Our reservation was for 4:00 PM, she finally seated us at 4:17 PM. Our waiter seemed a bit unsettled each time he would come to take our order and we wasn't ready. We asked about the salad options, he said they are listed in the menu take a look. On that note, we looked them up and gave our order because no one sitting at our table wanted to have something in their food because he was in a bad mood. My guest and I love Perry's - we will definitely return again, just hope we get a waiter that's more upbeat and greeted by someone that wants to be there.
The pork chop dinner is the best on the menu. Skip the fancy soda drinks. On this occasion the steak was grizzly and not flavorful. We all loved the lobster bisque. The cheeseburger was good. The surf and turf pasta was a little disappointing. Tiny amount of lobster and a sauce that didn't really compliment it. Wait staff and their helpers are all professional, polite and efficient.
The atmosphere was great for our anniversary! For the price and name of restaurant (steakhouse), i expect the steak to be exceptional. The steak was good but my husband can make one just as good at home (and he is not a chef). All the items from tempura lobster to the trio dessert were all tasty but nothing that would have my mouth watering to come back immediatley. The service was nice.
I am undecided on going back or recommending to a friend only due to the food not being exceptional.
Went to Perry's for a date and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the pork chop and was floored by the huge portions served and how delicious it was. My date had the steak and really enjoyed it as well. I will be returning but, I'm going to have to share the pork chop!
Also, loved the easy-peasy table reservations online. Thumbs up Perry's. :-)
Great food, as expected. I had a Wagyu ribeye special, it was fabulous, done perfectly and full of flavor. My wife had a hanging kabob, she commented the lobster was especially good. Kids had kids filet and they even wrapped one in bacon for one of my daughters. My son had a burger, it was undercooked. I thought it was delicious, but he wasn’t having it. Cocktails and hand shaken sodas were yummy too. Flaming desert table side prep was enjoyable and delicious. Overall a great experience that match the price tag.
Disappointing. Steaks tough and poorly cooked. We were there in December and food for group was good but recently quality of food and preparation has been poor. Have heard this from friends lately. Won’t go back till things change. It has been a great place to eat in the past. Something must have happened with chef or manager.
Perry's is our go to spot when we want a romantic dinner or celebrating a birthday or anniversary. Service is always great, steaks are always good, and all of the sides are awesome. Its definitely not cheap, but it is a great way to celebrate that special occasion.
The entire experience was great from the valet parking, to being seated on arrival for our reservation, to Paul's fantastic handing of our group. The food as usual was awesome - only drawback was the lobster mac/cheese, thought overpriced with not a lot of lobster for the price.
Food is excellent and portions are huge. We took home enough for each of us to have another meal the next day. Service was a little slow - for example bread didn't come out until dinner. It was my husband's birthday and although the hostess noted it, nothing else was done. My only real complaint was the music which is distracting. "Band on the Run" and other such music didn't seem to set the right atmosphere, particularly at Christmas.
My wife and I split the pork chop and it was plenty for both of us. We had no appetizer and only a side of brussel sprouts. Of the three types of pork chop, the thickest cut was a little dry, but still good. The other pork and sprouts were very good. My wife said her pineapple ginger mojito had too much mint for her taste. My merlot was very good. We split a cheesecake and each ate a third since we were full-face even though it was a small portion. The waiter was very personable and attentive. Overall, a good experience.
Perry's is where we celebrate our anniversary every year. Their steak is always cooked to perfection. The handcrafted drinks are the best. Now they even have a drink sampler so you don't have to commit to one! Make sure you save room for their rocky road bread pudding. Or just order it to go!
Their staff is very friendly and very non-intrusive. I love how they acknowledge what we chose as an occasion when we set up the reservation. There are flower petals on the table and the staff tells us Happy Anniversary.
First off we had to wait 35 minutes to be seating even though we had reservations. Then once we were finally seated it took our waiter 20 minutes to take our order. The steak was dry and overcooked. This was the worst experience! Save your money and do not go to this Perry's.
Food was brought to the table along with our appetizer before we even received our drinks. We were there to celebrate both our birthdays and enjoy our time together there with an enjoyable meal. Instead we felt rushed—didn’t even receive a birthday dessert. We have celebrated our birthdays here for the past 3 years and never had an experience like that. We were very disappointed.
