Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Sugar Land Ratings and Reviews
Thus used to be a nice restaurant. Food is still great, but you have the same caliber of service you get at Chilies or Applebee's... only at Perry's the bill is $500 and a $100 tip. They used to make sure they told you about specials, they always used the little crumb catcher to clean up between courses etc...
The waiter missed a lot, messed up several items, we had to ask 3 times for tea and so on. The manager corrected one item on the spot but too be honest - it isn't even close to what it used to be.
This was the most terrible experience I've ever had at any Perry's restaurant. I booked the reservation with a note stating that we would be there to celebrate Veteran's Day; not one staff member mentioned it the entire night. It wasn't until the very end of the night that the couple sitting next to us thanked my husband for his service. Also, the waiter never brought us any bread to the table the entire night, nor did he offer to go over any specials for the evening. When I asked the waiter about the menu items he just seemed very bothered by my questions. Also, Lyonnaise Potatoes were burnt to the point of being edible. They are typically very crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside, these were inedible. This was the worst experience ever, especially for the amount of money that is spent at the restaurant, so disappointing!! We'll never return to this location or recommend it EVER!!
Perry's Steakhouse in Sugarland might well be the best Steakhouse in the area (or even the city). Great food and sides, fresh and crispy salads, tasty appetizers - what more could you ask for? Oh - guess you could add a terrific wine and cocktail list. While just a wee bit pricy I think most will agree that the difference in service and quality make Perry's a good choice for a superb dining experience.
We went for Veteran's special but I've visited their other locations in The Woodlands and Champion Forest. Each location has very kind and courteous personnel who have always been so professional. I enjoy my visits. This was the first time I had a margarita.
Veteran’s Day weekend. Sunday, Perry’s has not only a Sunday Supper deal on Pork Chops, but they also honored Veterans with a free Pork chop 3 course meal with purchase. So we went as a family to honor my husband, kid’s dad, mother in law’s son with a nice meal. Perry’s never ever disappoints. Servers and Host, the main forefront’s of a restaurant were so professional, courteous, helpful and welcoming. They know their menu and the timing of the food and service is impeccable! The food we ordered was perfectly seasoned, cooked, etc. We ordered the Cowboy Bone In Rib eye medium rare. Sides of Potatoes and mushrooms. Kids had buttered pasta with cheese. For the three course meal, we had wedge salad, pork chops and dessert Trio. Everything tasted on point. Perfectly cooked, arrived just in time without being rushed or waiting...Love this place! Hands down best place to eat! Good portion size for family style dining. Still ended up take my home leftover yummies for later! Thank you for some quality grub and service!!
We have been to Perry's many times for casual dinners & to celebrate special occasions. But this last visit was very disappointing. The service was extremely slow and my steak was cooked
totally incorrect. They sent it back to cook another one and my friends were finished before my
steak ever came back. I told them to cancel it as it was taking too long. Perry's is a steak restaurant and should be able to accommodate cooking steaks to diner's request. Will not
be coming back for a while.
I usually don't bother with reviews unless the service is really really bad. The hostess who they have at this location is awful. She was arguing with a customer when I walked in and begin to speak badly about him in the presence of other patrons. She totally lied about my reservation, she ruined my lunch with gross negligence telling my party I never arrived. Then when I confront her about it she lies again saying I only gave my 1st name then when I mentioned my open table reservation she tells yet another lie saying someone deleted the reservation. All she had to do was check the computer system or simply invite the party to look around and she would have saw me waiting right upfront. Dishonest, and deceitful people will bring your organization down faster than you know. I will never return to this location until they get rid of this reckless loud mouth deceptive employee who cannot perform the simplest job on the planet.
Went for lunch. Steaks and asparagus were great, but burgers were burned (burgers, buns, even the grilled onions... seriously charred). Charcoal is not good as a burger. So, sent them back. Service was outstanding though, as usual. The only reason the review is four stars is because of the steaks and asparagus.
The restaurant was quite busy for a normal Saturday night. The experience was not what I was accustomed to. We shared a server with 4-5 other tables. It was odd that no one checked on the temperature of our steak and normally a manager would stop by. This didn't feel like fine dining and it normally does. Maybe it was just an off night!
Our dinner at Perry's could not have been better. The place has a great vibe and energy, but also was not so loud that we could enjoy a conversation. Our server was superb and very helpful when asked about various items, steering us in just the right direction. Wine selection was excellent with a broad range of vintages and good pricing. The thick bone-in ribeye steak was truly perfection - a rare treat when ordering true rare. Good music, too.
short notice for a special occasion dinner - as always Perry's is the go to place for steaks in Town Center/Sugar Land - the staff is one of the best in the Houston area- doesn't matter what you like or want - they will make it happen - not to mention - I forgot my wallet at home - guess what - no problem - the manager handled the charge with American Express customer service without hesitation - that's the kind of 5 star service others should learn from - same with the menu. the steaks are top shelf as are the sides - don't leave without trying the Siracha (sp) Brussel sprouts! outstanding !
