Outstanding service. Excellent food. Live piano, lounge singer was great. He added to the ambience without interfering in table conversation. Great way to end a special day.
Our waiter was amazing. He shared knowledge of the cuts of meat and made the experience fantastic for my in laws anniversary.
If you wanna treat someone to a magnificent meal bring them here, the food and the staff are well worth the expense. Possibly the best restaurant I’ve ever ate at.
We come once a year for a spring break lunch with relatives. The food especially the pork chop was dynamite. The only negative is the shish kabob my cousin ordered, $44 for 2 pieces of shrimp, steak and one puny lobster. Outrageous!
Perry’s has Excellent food and service. It’s what you expect and what you get! 5 Stars all the way!
We have been dining at Perry’s for years. The food is very good; however, I believe the cost of the food and drinks are becoming too expensive. The famous pork is spectacular, but what happened to the whipped potatoes... none offered on Sunday night. Salmon should not cost more than $25.
Our anniversary was made special because of how the staff at Perry's made us feel! Unbelievable service!
Great steak. Walker in bar is THE BEST BARTENDER! Whether it’s for happy hour or eating with friends at the bar!
Drinks, Appetizers and Dinner were fabulous! Room temperature was cold, but it was the first warm day in San Antonio. Our waitress did address the temperature and it warmed up a bit.
A little more would have made it perfect. The noise level was a little loud, but it was crowded. All in all it was a great evening.
Not to be mean, maybe you all just had a bad night. The entrees were bland and flavorless. The Brussels sprouts were good, but I've had better. The noise level was an impediment to conversation. Far too costly for what we received. Our server was the high point . She was attentive and personable. We are not likely to come back.
Always delicious and amazing service!! Friday lunch pork chop is always a win!
We had an awesome time!!!
We had an unfortunate incident, nothing to do with the restaurant it was personal. We needed to sit outside for a moment and leave our car parked in valet. I really appreciate the valet understanding and not rushing us to get out of the valet parking lot. Thank you!!
The lunch pork chop did not disappoint.
Our server, Brandon, was FANTASTIC—& the food was really good as usual, of course! Great all-around!!
Our server was phenomenal and the food was the usual great qualitly.
Great food, amazing service, a go-to for any fancy or big occasion (ours was our 3rd wedding anniversary). Definitely a higher range of what you will pay, but the quality and level of dining is well worth the price if you're looking to spend a few more dollars. We've been going to Perry's for 10+ years, and I have never been close to any form of substandard service or food, much less anything disappointing. Perry's goes above and beyond on everything. Certainly worth the splurge a few times a year, and the pork chop lunch is probably the best bang for your buck meal of all time on Fridays in SA if you ever have the chance, you'll never forget it.
Very impressed with service, food and overall ambience. Steaks are definitely prime beef. I wanted to try the Pork Chop which is their specialty, however, it is 36 ounces which is too much for me to tackle. I saw it served to a table, a mini roast.
Nice mediocre Restaurant. I got a strip and it was "ok" not great and I expected it to be GREAT because I chose Perry's over Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Wife got the medium sized Filet and it was over cooked which was unfortunate because it was a good cut of meat. Service was good.
Perry”s always pleases.
The one thing I would recommend is highlighting “lent-friendly” options on Friday.
My experience's at Perry's is always awesome! They continue to get better and better!!!
The atmosphere was perfect and food was amazing! You can actually order a well-done steak steak here and it come out very juicy! Definitely must have an adult salary and not be worried when the bill comes!
What a wonderful experience. I really do not like driving into downtown and was looking for options. Perry's was not our first option, but they were convenient and appropriate for the occasion (anniversary). Suffice it to say, they WILL be our first option for now on. The service, food, attentiveness and value were superb. We will be back. PS - Kasi was bubbly, charming and delightful.
I take the family to Perry’s for special occasions. This time was excellent as usual. I had not been to the La Cantera location before. The service was excellent and the food was amazing as usual.
I have bad dinner at Perry’s lots of times ... quality and flavor is excellent... service sometimes can be better...
What happened to the Hong Kong sea bass? So sad it’s gone!!!
Perfect food, perfect service, perfect music along with perfect company makes for a spectacular evening! Thanks!
It was a mess! They brought out the wine, over-poured the glasses. Brought the dinner before we even finished the appetizer or one glass of our wine. Tried to take the appetizer before we were through. We split a filet and it was tiny and my “filet” had a huge chunk of fat and both were under-cooked (Raw). Returned it to the kitchen where they then over-cooked it. The macaroni and cheese was awful. Barely any cheese and tasted like onions. We were rushed through our meal for no purpose because we still had 3/4ths of our wine to drink. We ordered chocolate ganache to have something to finish our Barolo with.
Will never go back. Nothing like the Perry’s in Houston. Not sure why they can’t be consistent. Very disappointing.
We took advantage of the Friday luncheon special from 1100 to 4 p.m. We both ordered the pork chops. The chops were delicious with a nice smoky flavor accompanied by mashed potatoes and apple sauce. The service was nearly excellent, but it was a luncheon. We will definitely go again.
Amazing cocktails and service. Food was so delicious. Can’t wait to visit again!
The food is always outstanding. The staff is very friendly also.
Incredible pork chops and a great lunch value on Friday afternoons. Celebrated a birthday and everything was perfect !
Poorly cooked, poor quality ribeye...manager fortunately comped the steak since the 2nd attempt at medium rare still resulted in an over cooked, over salted steak. Disappointing.
Never had a bad meal at Perry’s. Went for the asian halibut, but it was no longer on the menu. Did have the crispy skinned snapper instead, it was just as wonderful! Great flavor!
The service was excellent and our food was delicious. The atmosphere was very nice and live music was special. We look forward to our next trip to your restaurant.
So this was supposed to be a weekend Valentine’s Day date and we specifically noted we would like a nice view. 1 & 1/12 hours before our reservation the hostess calls us and let’s us know that the kitchen closes at the time we made our reservation that we need to show up sooner which was a huge inconvenience since we had the day strategically planned. When we show up early like she requested us to (mind you there were still tons of people in the restaurant it didn’t look anywhere near closing time) she seats us (2) at a 4 person table with a direct view of the kitchen cooks. Behind this 4 seated table there was a two seated table against the wall which I requested we sit at instead. She then made the comment “I saw you requested a table with a nice view, unfortunately all those tables are taken” ?????? Isn’t that what a reservation is for? Anyway the food was okay, needed a lot of salt and the our actual waiter was pretty quiet overall we could have had a more romantic time at Olive Garden.
Food was excellent.....service from Marcus was informative; not pushy...highly attentive; almost impeccable!
Unbelievable meal...so good we are going back again tomorrow. The Pork Chop was amazing!!
Went here with my wife for a belated Valentine’s Day dinner. Wasn’t really impressed with the quality of food for the price. She got the filet mignon and I got their famous pork chop. I tasted her filet and it was fine but could have gotten the same thing at another cheaper steakhouse. Pork chop was good and carved table side. We got 2 sides, whipped potatoes and the macaroni and cheese. Again, not impressed with either. I’ve had better macaroni and cheese at Panera. My wife got the Creme brûlée for dessert and said they burned the sugar on top a little bit. I got the chocolate peanut butter candy bar which was good and not too rich or heavy. However, the whipped cream was just cool whip. You would think a restaurant of this caliber would at least make their own whipped cream. We won’t be coming back unless it’s for the Friday lunch special. There are several other restaurants in the area in the same price range with far superior food quality.
We were seated for dinner. It took forever to get our drinks and then, when mine had a "floatie" of some kind in it, it took forever to get the replacement. It was very poor lighting where we were seated. And there was an odor to the whole restaurant that was very unappealing to me. My tuna entree was good and my husband's lamb chops were good. The nutty dessert was excellent. So, overall, the food was good but the service and ambiance less than desirable for the cost. So, it was not a good value for the money in my opinion.
