It was our first time going, celebrating our wedding anniversary, that steak was the best we have ever experienced. The waiter and staff were extremely courteous and professional. We will definitely be going back.
As always, the food was outstanding. My wife and I both had Chilean sea bas and it was unbelievably delicious.. The French onion soup was one of the best I have ever tasted. When they found out it was our anniversary, Management had a special table for two with rose petals spread on it. Wonderful experience.
They gave us a secluded booth with some rose petals for our anniversary, and the staff was very kind. :) The New York strip and macaroni were fantastic. I didn’t like my Surf & Turf pasta, and they took it off the bill
Perry's is priced similarly to much better steak houses and I would never go there again. Our appetizers were both off, and even though the 4 of us didn't finish either, no questions were asked. The asparagus was overcooked, almost burned and way too salty. The calamari was so spicy we didn't eat it. The lobster bisque was just so/so. I ordered a wedge and it was drenched in dressing and I only ate a small amount. For a $500 meal for 4, I would go to Del Frisco's or Pappas Steaks or B&Bs or Steak 48 or even Taste of Texas. We actually only went there because it was the only steak place we could get in at the last minute on a Saturday night, which should have told me something.
Thank goodness there are so many really great other choices in Houston!
Jordan was an amazing server and the food was delicious. It was our first time dining at Perry’s and we were very pleased . We’re in from out of town and Jordan made our night laid back and easy . We’ll be back :)
Very poor management from the top down
1. Made reservations requested corner quiet table
Stated we did not want a table in isle way
2. Arrived at restaurant uncovered valet
Poring down rain but valets had no umbrellas to help escort
Ladies in our party
3. Escorted to an Isle way table to be seated
Per our reservations requested to be moved to a quiet corner
4. Placed order and received salads
Never saw server again for over 35 minutes although everyone had finished salads within 20 minutes and was wanting drink.
Refills. Inquired and finally told she had to fix a printer.
5. Food did not arrive until another 30 minutes
One order was incorrect
6 No apology from the management at anytime.
I have eaten at other Perry’s and this location is pitiful and definitely not up to the standards I have experienced in the past so be aware before you go. I know I will not return unless they change their management to meet the supervisor brand and expectations they are known for.
The pork chop was delicious and the service was excellent.
Closing on one of our housws
Food was above average. Service was below average. Won’t let you adjust any sides even for an up charge when the side was literally 4 asparagus spears. Went there for an anniversary date and nothing special was done. Overall didn’t feel the experience warranted the price tag. I’m sure there are better steak houses in town for the price you pay.
Nowadays, many are preferring outdoor seating. And this Perry’s has it. Just avoid the tables next to the side street. It’s muddy and doesn’t look nice.
The food was up to par for Perry's, but our service was not. It starts with it taking a minimum of 5 minutes for us to be greeted by our waiter when we were seated. Honestly our waiter was either very overwhelmed and needed management's help or was doing some kind of speed that left him unable to concentrate on his job tasks. Thank yo for allowing me to comment.
Another great meal at one of our favorite places. JJ was very attentive and made our experience even better.
I booked on here because 95% of the time it’s been fantastic on OpenTable. With Perry’s, I indicated it was my birthday dinner and the hostess never acknowledged it was my birthday nor did they wish me a happy birthday when I left. The waitress never said anything and the manager walked by my table numerous times. Never will I go back. I went there because of a fantastic experience at the memorial city location. Guess I should’ve gone there rather than this newer location that is closer to home. I would’ve been more upset if a lot of my friends went to the dinner with me and this happened. It’s like what’s the point of having the option to indicate the occasion for the dinner??? There was a travel across from us that brought balloons and was recognized as their birthday. Events like these are once a year and it should be special. Am I right? Or totally off base here?
Excellent service and of course, the food was simply outstanding.
I really do need the applesauce recipe.
A Perry’s dining experience is always “Rare and Well Done”!!!
The service was great. I ordered the seared tuna dish. It was a very weird combo of peppered seared tuna on top of tomato sauce. Terrible combo and not sure why you would ever put these together. Everything else was great. Don’t ordered the seared tuna dish.
Good food, Great service!
As always the pork chop was a crowd pleaser....
First floor is better for outside view, etc. but can get awfully noisy. We sat on the second floor so we could hear each other. Our server was delightful. My friend hadn't tried the pork chop and loved it. I had the chicken, which was kind of a heavy breading and very little meat with a sauce on it that I'd expected to be more Italian tasting than it was.... Pasta and spinach was ok. Whole plate was lukewarm and feel that chicken (what there was of it) was overcooked.
I've been there for happy hour and for previous lunches and mostly all has been good. I think you should remove that chicken from your menu. :)
It was our 20th anniversary and you did sprinkle some rose petals on our table. So thx! The service was really great at first but then it dropped off towards the end. We ended up having to ask for our bill I skipped dessert because it took so long. The bill came to 176 for two people and the food was pretty good but I think you would do more business if you lowered the prices to a reasonable level.
People would certainly come more often. The 8oz filet was really great!
Perry's is never disappointing. Service and atmosphere were both great.
It was my birthday! We had great service with JJ (sp?) fantastic cocktails (I had the Perry Mule), and absolutely delicious food! Brussel sprouts, pork chop bites, and the surf and turf were amazing! Inside noise was loud but weather was so we enjoyed outdoor, socially distanced seating!
The Matre'de or I will say that was his role or host was unprofessional and sat us at a table with an unclean tablecloth and proceeded to scrap trash off it as if we would settle for that. The wine was very bad but I didn't send it back. The waitperson was the only benefit of the evening. The Lobster Bisque was terrible and had no flavor and I left more than half. It was the worst experience at a Perry's barring when my 87-year old aunt fell at memorial City.
I will never return to that location.
Great birthday dinner for my husband! The outdoor seating area was very nice!
Love Perry’s just won’t be going back for a while. Mask wearing was not enforced! People were walking through the restaurant and not wearing them. Super disappointed by management. Food was of course great and so was our server.
I enjoyed dinner. Great ambiance.
Very loud and chaotic. Not sure why they charge so much for a pathetic ambiance and mediocre food.
The food was great and the service was excellent! Would definitely recommend going!
Restaurant experience was great for the first time. Adrian, our server was the best. Our food was seasoned and cooked well. Will definitely go back. Dessert was tasty. Want to try the famous pork chop.
Very disappointed with overall experience. This started from the rude GM who say us in a corner with no legroom, I am 6’4”. East told to take it or leave it. After complaint, we were moved.
The waiting staff was very slow and showed very little attention. Staff was very slow to clean between appetizers and main course. The only quick the was the drinks.
I ordered the legendary pork chops that was dry and I hade send back and eat vegetables.
1st time back nice the shutdown.
My fiancé’s fish came out and either had some type of windex or cleaning solution on the plate or unintentionally got over spray from all the sanitizing.
It smelled heavily of chemicals and tasted like it too.
The waitress was very accommodating and gave excellent service. However the manager who came to the table to address the problem was overbearing and over explained the restaurants food handling and temperature policies to the point of exhaustion, he came back three twice to do this.
A simple sincere apology and offer to make it right would have been just fine but the resistance to being empathetic to the customer wasn’t there.
I’ve been eating at Perry’s for 20 years, been to countless wine dinners, private parties, special occasions and just regular lunch and dinner dining. Never been so disappointed or just stressed out having to listen to a dissertation of food temp policy.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home
It was perfect the food was great the atmosphere was energetic, I love it!
Pandemic blues outing!
Great service. Food was good but in my opinion, a little too expensive for the quality of food. You are really paying for the ambiance. Overall, good, not great. With everything said, I will return, but only for special occasions.
Our server was amazing. Food and drinks were perfect
The last time I was there was to celebrate my engagement. This time I went to celebrate my wedding. Very disappointing. Service was slow-waitress wasn’t friendly. They sat us at a table with no tablecloth or silverware. I dropped a small cake off the before and they couldn’t find it- when they did it was brought out cold after I was told that it would be brought out to be room temp for serving. It was so dark in there the server couldn’t read the ticket of who got what steak. We waited over an hour for our food And it was room temperature when we got it. It was beyond disappointing over all.
I went there for a business meeting over lunch and it was great. I'll be going again.
Best food!!! ALWAYS!
Everything was PERFECT!!!!I have not one compliant. Even the packing up of leftovers was sweet of them.
My second time at this place and I got the $39 Sunday Three Courses Meal and it was amazing! Highly recommended trying their French Onion Soup. They are very good at ensuring social distancing and my experience was really great. I will definitely come back here again.
Great place. Great service. Just have to wear a mask to sit down. Not their dumb rule. I guess I saved someone's life though.🤔
