Perry's Famous Pork Chop
Carved tableside on a hot cast iron plate. Hand selected in the Midwest specifically for Perry's, this sweet, smoky, sizzling chop is cured, roasted, slow-smoked and caramelized, served with homemade applesauce
Cameron and his team provided excellent service. The food and wine were wonderful.
My humans I celebrated our second anniversary on November 30. Devon was our waiter and he was EXCELLENT!
Excellent service and excellent food. A really nice dining experience.
I love Perry’s, which is why I chose to celebrate my birthday on this particular evening at.Perry’s. However, my steak was overcooked. It’s a steakhouse so I expected more and normally my steak from Perry’s is cooked to perfection. They did try to make it right by remaking me another steak but there were portions of that steak that were also overcooked but I did not notice until I got home since I did not finish my steak and when they brought out the replacement I just cut down the middle of the steak and that part was cooked correctly. I think the issue is they now put the steaks on that cast iron-like skillet that continues to cook the steak as opposed to putting the fillet on a regular plate like they used to. I noticed that I never had any issues when it was on a regular plate. My salad was excellent and everyone else at the table enjoyed their soups and salads. My others friends streak was also overcooked but she chose not to send it back and I felt really bad because she had a large cut of steak that was going to go to waste as it was overcooked.
The only other complaint was the fact that service moved super slow. I did have a party of 10 people but as the evening was winding down there were only a few tables left in the entire restaurant and it seemed that this made things go even slower. We were seated around 7 and didn’t leave until after 10:30 PM. It just seemed that things moved in slow motion and with a lack of efficiency.
The waitress was nice enough to cut the birthday cake that we brought in and provide everyone a slice to go so that was much appreciated.
In sum, I absolutely love Perry‘s and will continue to dine there and hopefully my future experiences will consist of better service and a better-cooked filet.
Issues with menu items not being available; no mention until after ordering. This information should have been provided before or while ordering. This issue caused a down turn and wasn’t fully able to enjoy the evening.
The atmosphere is a ten. The waiter was friendly and attentive. However the food was good but I felt like it needed a little more seasoning. I had the prime steak and the chicken Parmesan but both needed some extra spices. Once I added a little salt and pepper it was okay. I would still go back with some creole seasoning in my purse.
We love Perrys and have bragged about it to our friends so we took them there for a treat and to show them how great it was. Server started off great but then was the best magician ever. I waited over 30 minutes for a tea. After the meal we waited on dessert for over 45 minutes. Asked the manager about it who said he would comp the dessert but didn’t which doesn’t really matter but when u have reservations at 7:30 and don’t get out of there til 11 and have sitters for the kids it poses a problem for all. You can’t beat the food but the service is hit an miss. I’ve had 5 great experiences and three bad ones and this was another bad one just because of the server. We watched tables get up and leave because they were abandoned once the drinks came out.
Great food and service.
This was my husband’s 54th birthday and we dine at Perry’s in Frisco, TX regularly and assumed it would be the same excellent service. Dinner was at 5:45pm I alerted the staff it was his birthday as soon as we arrived.
Appetizer and salad was fine, when it came to the main course is where we ran into issues. We were pretty much done eating before the brought the lobster and never acknowledged the birthday. Just asked for a box and the check so we could leave.
Very nice and romantic restaurant
The food and service was great
We definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Steaks were fantastic, great flavor and texture. The sides were big enough to share, server was very attentive and nice. This was our second time here and both experiences have been very memorable!
Amazing service and worth every dime!!! Free valet. Excellent staff. And even spectacular food. I’ll return for our next special occasion
Food was SOOO GOOD! Our server was kind of busy but the food was delicious!
Great time at a great place!! Enjoyed it thoroughly, vegan steak, wow!!
We sat at the bar and one of the bartenders was extremely rude and pushy. The balance of staff was extremely nice and service was exceptional.
Will not be back for a while . Food took way too long to come out. Management never came by or apologized until it was pass the point of no return .
Jacob was great. Music was too loud and not the genre I would have expected for dining. Food excellent
The lamb chops were a great hit and my favorite as always pork chops
I want to say that my family and I were maltreated and rude during our time at Perry Steakhouse. Upon arrival for our 5 pm dinner reservations on Thanksgiving day. I checked in with the hostess and who informed me that someone would seat us. After waiting 10 minutes and watching others seated that came in after us, I inquired on the status of our table with the other hostess. She then looked us up in the system and stated that she would seat us now. After this unpleasant encounter with getting seated, we were seated, and our waitress seemed to provide us with minimal service. She came to our table to get the drink order, then the food order, had someone else bring us our food, and then again brought the bill as we saw her check on the other tables around us to see if they were okay. Also, did I state that my 75-year-old father had food that he wanted to take home to enjoy later and was given a box for his food.
Yet, when others left, our waitress took their food to the back and placed food in to-go containers, and placed those containers in Perry's steakhouse bag. My dad's food was placed in a to-go box that he put his food into, and we did not get a bag from our waitress. She just dropped the box off at our table and left. So I had to request a bag from one of the hostesses at the front reception desk. I will not patronize this Steakhouse again. I know I was in NC, and I am from Maryland, but the prejudging and lack of customer service was enough for me to tell everyone I know not to go here.
Our overall bill was $379.90 for six people, and the 20% tip would have been $75.98. I gave her a $100 tip, although her service was awful. To show her and the others that BLACK People do tip and we tip well. Yes, I felt that because we were black, that service was not the BEST that Perry's Steakhouse could offer.
I am writing a letter to your Corporate Office with more details on how Perry's Steakhouse treated my family on Thanksgiving.
A great Thanksgiving dinner! The food and service was outstanding! Perry’s had perfectly blended an old steakhouse experience with a contemporary flare.
Perry’s Steakhouse in Raleigh, NC was fabulous!!! Small Line awaiting Thanksgiving Dinner, but The Hostesses quickly sat My Wife & I. Wedge Salad for me, The Wife had Lobster Bisque, and both appetizers were great. I had Grilled Crusted Redfish and it was delicious. My Wife had Cedar Plank Salmon. We both really enjoyed Our Main Courses. Our Waitress was The Highlight of Our Evening (Lauren). She’s quite The Rockstar!!!!!
This was my first and only time to a Perry’s steakhouse. I ordered the Perry steak and asked for it cooked rare. When it came out it was closer to medium well. Taste was good but it was served on a griddle plate so I’m not really sure how they could regulate the temperature of the meat. It could’ve been cooked fine in the back to rare but then by the time it gets to your table it’s still cooking on the cast-iron grill. I also ordered the oven roasted oysters which was like an oysters Rockefeller. It also came out on a griddle plate the presentation was not very good it was just three oysters cooked slapped on a griddle and again they continue to cook. The taste of everything was good, but for the price I would’ve thought the presentation and attention to detail would have been better. I also ordered a martini on the rocks. The first drink I got the rock glass had a huge horizontal and vertical crack in the glass. I told the waitress and she got me another. I would’ve expected them to remake the drink since the glass was cracked but I watched the bartender pour the same drink into another glass. I also ordered dessert- one of the items was crème brûlée, that plate also had a huge crack in the lip and had to send it back. It wasn’t like these things were difficult to see, you could’ve seen that both of these items were cracked from 10 feet away looking at them. They did comp the desert but it should have never made it to the table looking like that. There could have been glass in my drink or in the desert. I did like the atmosphere, but probably will not return.
Thank you for a fabulous dinner for Thanksgiving with our family!
Very very pricey, over $500 for a family of 6. We didn’t receive 3 of our side dishes until we finished our steaks, and no compensation was offered. Ordered the table side strawberry shortcake for dessert, it took 30 minutes to receive it and it was pretty flavorless. Bread pudding was just average as well. Steaks and pork chop tasted great though!
Food was delicious - had Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Service was spectacular .Waitress Angela was amazing. Place is beautiful. Little overpriced.
Great service and amazing food. I will definitely be going back.
Hands down, one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Wonderful thanksgiving dinner!
Thanksgiving was well spent at Perry’s…..Catherine took wonderful care of us!
Soooooo expensive. Be ready to spend a lot of money. The food and service were great, though!
Excellence in all aspects! Steak Perry was a little too salty but I ate every bite of it! It was very tasty and the small version was just the right amount. Cocktails are over-priced.
Last night wasn’t the usual at Perry’s. The first server wasn’t good. We waited 15 minutes before he greeted us and five more minutes for water or a drink order. The manager ended up moving our table because there was a drunken and sick man with his head down on the table beside us. I’m surprised a drunk and sick person was allowed to stay and sleep head down in a high end establishment. However, the manger was very helpful, but her staff failed her. We were moved to another table and the manager brought us fresh drinks and fresh bread due to during the table switch a waiter bumped her and knocked over our drinks (spirits). Once we were finally seated again, she said we would have a new waiter soon. We waited another 15 minutes before the waiter came to greet us. Long story short, our reservation was at 9pm. We arrived at 8:40pm. We sat at 9:05 and the second waiter finally came to our table to take our order at 10:05. After waiting an hour we decided to leave as it was a ruined special occasion. Kudos to the manager. Thumbs down to the staff. As a daily frequenter of high end restaurants. A word of advice to the staff. The food is expected to be great, but we are primarily paying for the service.🙂
Had a great experience , it was my birthday celebration and I loved the desert. My family and I will be back soon .
The amazing food more than made up for the rather harried atmosphere - it was very crowded and our service was slow but we were in no hurry so it was not too much of a bother. Wide range of menu - something for everybody. It is a contemporary twist on "steakhouse" - it is a relatively high-end restaurant for a special occasion. Highly recommend for the great food.
Had a really great experience at Perry’s. Everyone was so friendly and the food was amazing.
The food was worth the wait. The restaurant is so beautiful and the waiters are very sociable and accommodating. Definitely a great place to go to for a date night or family time.
Daniel our server was amazing! He was very friendly, knew the details about the menu and was able to make recommendations for our courses. He was attentive to our party of four (4) and made my husband's birthday and wonderful experience. This was our first time at Perry's, we will definitely be returning.
Very nice but very expensive. Great for a special occasion. Festive but noise level makes it very difficult to have a conversion.
I was really taken aback by how good the pork chops were. The waitress did a reasonable sell job and I was pleasantly surprised. All the food was good save the lettuce in one salad. overall a very good place to dine.
We’ve been to Perry’s now ~5 times… they have a wonderful outdoor space which was so nice to come back to dining while still being concerned about Covid. Even if the space is a little loud from Creedmore traffic, it’s still enjoyable. Our issue - although we keep hoping they will figure it out - is chronically erratic service and overdone steak. For the price, we just can’t justify ordering a $55 filet at medium rare or medium which comes served as medium well or well. I cannot imagine how many send-backs and wasted food they must incur. Sorry Perry’s, but I think I’ve given up on your $400 meal for 4 people with this…
