Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
Arianna was awesome even tho she was swamped. Food was excellent especially the pork chop. Asparagus was good but the ends were reedy. We Creamed spinach great. Mashed potatoes fine. Ambiance awesome. Just the right amount of noise - music could be improved a lot.
Very lively restaurant with a great vibe for special occasion dining. The food was great, although very seasoned. Great steaks. One guest had fried shrimp which was also exceptional. Another had the pork chop, which is huge and carved table side. He said it was good, but a tad fatty, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Sides were all enjoyable. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant. Almost $100/person. We will definitely go back for another celebration.
A very disappointing experience at Perry's. First, the lighting is so low, our table had to use flashlights to see the menu. The sides we ordered were mediocre. For example, the potatoes were overcooked. The asparagus dish was 3 fried asparagus, with a small dot of crab meat, for the table ?? We all ordered the cowboy cut rib-eye. The steak I received was to spicy for me. After mentioning it to our server, she brought "napkins" to wipe the steak off ??? A $60.00 steak, to be improved upon with napkins, is not a Class act steakhouse. With all the other steak offerings in the Oak brook area, avoid this place.
The food was great. I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye and it was excellent. Very tender and juicy. The fried asparagus with crabmeat is awesome. This was my second time at Perry's and I took my teenage children and they loved it as well. The service was impeccable.
The ambiance was great, however the food was over spiced .
We ordered 2 pork chops, huge, should have ordered one. It was spiced. The carrots were overwhelmed with cumin, too bad as carrots are fine without. The creme brule was average.
It is an expensive restaurant that needs a new chef that is less heavy handed with the spices.
We gave been to Perry’s several times and are never disappointed. Some favorites are the Seafood Tower, Wagyu NY Strip steak and the Filet. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna, which was excellent as well. The Desert Trio is a wonderful way to squeeze in desert after a filling meal.
I can't say enough about Perry's. The food is excellent and the service is perfect. Our Server (I believe his name is Jesse) was very attentive but not overbearing. He knew exactly when to check with us on our drinks and meal without being pesty. He made us feel very comfortable which made us enjoy our time at Perry's even more.
Your pork chops are deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious. Thanks
We went for lunch on a Friday after the New Year which was pretty crowded but no overly so. We were about 15 min late for our reservation and called to let them know. We had no problem being seated even though we were late. Our waiter, Ben, was prompt and knowledgeable on both the menu and the wine list. Our food was excellent, and our service was very good as well. I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday on Sunday and Ben brought us a desert trio with a candle but not too much fanfare, which my wife appreciated. The desert was very good as was everything else. We will be back.
Loved our lunch at Perry's Steak House. Had the highly recomended pork chop and certainly was NOT disapointed!!! It was huge!! And delicious....a very unique pork chop flavor as it is slow smoked, then grilled!! Our server was outstanding....very attentitive without being pushy or a nuisance. Will definately return!!
Everything was great. Our server George was great. The only thing i can say is, New Years Eve they have a limited menu. And for two people- appetizer, to meals, and two glasses of wine, it was $212.00. So everything was great, just a little more than expected.
The cocktails were delicious. The lobster bisque and wedge salad were great starters. Ordered off the special New Years Eve menu. I had the ribeye and my husband had the filet. It was the best ribeye I’ve EVER had. My husband’s filet was excellent as well. I look forward to dining here again when I want to treat myself to a world class steak.
Thank you for making my dad’s evening spectacular!
He was reunited with his ex wife after 45 years and they had the most wonderful time!
Thank you for the added touch of the rose petals on the table!
She was so impressed..... she said yes to a second date!
It’s amazing to see Octogenarians have such an awesome time
With all of the steakhouses in Chicago, you need to standout, a catch, to compete in this market. Perry's does not stand out on price, style nor service. Prices are high, style is classic and services is great. How do they stand out? Perry's Famous Pork Chop. This thing is carved table side and is amazing. More than you would ever think a Pork Chop could be.
Mixed drinks are $15. A baked potato is $10. Why? Not sure. The Pork Chop is $40. Why? Just eat it. Drink water and don't carb load before they bring out your chop. You will thank me (and maybe invite me the next time you go to Perry's).
The meal and atmosphere was fabulous! We had the Tomahawk and the Perry Pork chop and Crabs and Lobster, all was done to perfection! The Fried asparagus is very tasty also for a side along with the Mac and cheese. Service was exceptional and very accommodating.
Excellent service reinforced with exceptional food! For the Chicago suburban steakhouse experience - this place cannot be beat.
Opportunities for improvement are two-fold : First, check-in - - the hostesses lack role clarity of who is checking-in guests, taking coats, and escorting guests to the table (this was clumsy both entering and exiting). Secondly, the take-out - - giving me two brown lunch sacks versus a handled/labeled bag simply looks tacky, was cumbersome to carry and simply fell short of the nice close to a $200 meal.
The reservation process and check in leaves something to be desired for an otherwise flawless dining experience. Waiting for an hour for a reservation only to be told that tables are on dessert when all tables are on main courses does not instill confidence in the weight a reservation carries at Perry’s. They also were still talking reservations while guests were waiting for times that they could not honor. We were forced to dine in the bar which while a nice experience was not what we had envisioned for our evening.
