Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
The fried asparagus was good as were the Au Gratin potatoes. The steaks left a lot to be desired. Dinner was more than $200 with tip and we only had one glass of one total for our table. I drank tap water. At that price, this should have been a memorable meal for reasons different than I will remember it.
When I asked my server how they compared to Capital Grille, she said "we are a step or two above Capital Grille". Wow, she was far from correct on that. If I want a steak to remember because it melts in my mouth with flavor instead of being soaked in greasy butter, I will go to the Capital Grille. This place was about 5 steps below. You could do better at a cheap roadside dinner for steak and pay about a 10th of the price.
To say we were disappointed is a total understatement. We each only ate about a quarter of our $50 dollar bone in Rib eye steak.
We won't visit here again.
Beautiful restaurant in the Oakbrook area. Service is excellent. Our waitress Kristina was very attentive and remember to refresh our wine from the bottles that we had for dinner. We enjoyed the singer/pianist and her partner as they provided subdued dinner music. Kitchen service acn be better. We requested 3 times for a new warm butter dish for seafood tower. Each time they butter came back barely lukewarm. Ordered the prime rib which was done perfectly; however, it was not 14 oz as advertised as it was smaller than that. Worth giving a visit if you like steakhouses.
Did not have good service tonight. server tried way too hard to up sell (it was laughable), rushed taking our order, and then disappeared. On top of that he embarrassed is us in front of our guest by detailing how we paid for the bill and then snatched it from the table before we had a chance to get up.
Dinner was exceptional - I frequently entertain at most of the higher end Steak Houses here in Chicago, I would put this in par with the top ones. I would in fact say I will be putting this on the top of my list for those business occasions I ma looking to break away from the bigger name Chicago go to Steak houses. The Pork Chop specialty was tremendous, the only draw back over some other sis that everything is a la cart, where some have started to include a side or salad/soup.
I had specifically requested a table away from the kitchen. When I confirmed my reservation I specifically reminded the hostess of my request I was told no worries. The couple I was with had got there before me and was seated guess right next to the kitchen! It was there first time there so they didn’t know any better. I left it alone while we had dinner. VERY DISAPPOINTED at the lack of attention and disregard for my request.
The food and service is always excellent! Our waiter was extra special and very attentive this time. We have never had a bad experience but our waiter this time was so sweet and accommodating to my 5 year old son. Our steak was cooked a little bit too much for it to be medium but they immediately brought us a new steak which was perfect. We will be back.
After a stressful couple of weeks, I needed something relaxing & appetizing to help release the steam. Perry’s was perfect, especially since they take reservations after 9. The ambiance was great, the live music was spot on & with help from my waitress Angelika, i was able to decide on the best meal I’ve had in months.
We all had the pork chop and shared the fried asparagus and the au gratin potatoes. Nice ambiance, not noisy like Wildfire. All the food was very good. The proportions were large, including the sides. Cocktails were a little light (too well measured?). Service (Steven) was excellent. Not rushed, well paced.
For a high end steakhouse it certainly met our expectations for quality of food, atmosphere etc etc, however I thought it was weird how we closed out at the end of meal. The server came over the table with the dinner dishes uncleared and asked if we would like dessert/coffee to which we replied "no thank you". Typically the staff clears the table and then you are asked if you would like dessert or coffee. Instead with an uncleared table in front of us, she returns with the check. Most steakhouses of this caliber train their staff to clear the table first, ask the dessert question and if declined the check is presented. This might be a technique for a restaurant to clear a non-revenue table quicker as the guest doesn't want to linger looking at dirty dishes but it left a bad impression with us.
Attended Veterans Day promotion dinner, as I reside in area but have just not been able to check it out. It offered the occasion for my wife and i to enjoy a date night and we were overwhelmed a value by the fantastic atmosphere and menu. Our server, Michael, I believe, was helpful and explained in detail menu items. Pace was relaxing and efficient and definitely warrants a return visit. And thanks from Specialist Five U.S.Army Thomas M Sheridan 1969-1971 for your respect.
The meal was fantastic - with my wife stating that the Black&Blu filet was possibly the best steak she has ever had. I had the pork chop which was incredible but extra large. Service was impeccable as Al could not be more attentive. Additionally a tasting dessert tray for our anniversary was a great touch. Only downside was waiting 25 minutes past reservation time.
From the moment of our arrival the service was impeccable. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Our server Kent was amazing, asking our preferences and suggesting dishes he thought we'd like, he wasn't wrong! The ambiance is what you'd expect from an upscale steakhouse, and the food was incredible! My wife's salmon was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and my medium strip steak was easily one of the best I've ever eaten! And the sides were equally delicious - from the house made whipped potatoes to the sweet and savory sticky rice, and the signature fried asparagus topped with crab meat? I could have eaten a double helping! They even paid attention to our reservation notation and acknowledged my birthday with a complimentary dessert! This was our first visit to Perry's, but definitely not our last!
This was a great restaurant to visit, my hubby and I like to visit new restaurants often and I found Perry’s on Open Table, the reviews were pretty good so we tried them out and were very pleased with the food, ambiance, wine selection, service etc. Perry’s is definitely on our “Great Restaurants to Visit list”, we will be going back soon.
Jessie our server was fantastic, he was very attentive and respectful. Our crab cakes and steak were Delicious!!!
Food was great. Augratin potatoes were excellent but wasn’t hot when brought to the table. Our server was a bit spacey, asking the same questions over and over. He may have been overwhelmed but....
Other than that, great experience. Would definitively return.
The service was professional from walking in the door to leaving the restaurant and EVERYTHING in between. Our server was extra friendly and had a great personality. His recommendations were spot on. Food was super flavorful and a different spin on traditional steakhouse options!! Definitely recommended!!
