Food was delicious, staff were friendly and accommodating. Will be coming back.
Great as always
I was a little disappointed with the waiter. I felt he was in a hurry to get our orders, etc. And than after dessert, he really didn't come back to the table for another drink or more coffee. We probably sat a good half hour-45 minutes talking and he never stopped by.
Highly highly recommend - everything was delicious and the service was great!!!
Everyone needs to try the Pork Chop at least once. Amazing.
We have been to Perry’s on numerous occasions. We always make reservations and in the past everything was always excellent. On this past Friday January 17, 2020 I made a lunch reservation (2) it was for my husband’s birthday, the table that we were led to was awful! It was wedged against a wall in a high traffic area where we hardly had room to even stretch our arms without coming in contact with the table close to us, and hardly any room for the server. We told the young man that led us to the table that it was not acceptable and could he please seat us somewhere else. He responded that there was nothing else available. We went to the bar area for our meal. I was disappointed because this had never happened to us at Perry’s before. I cannot understand that as large as the dining room is, he could not have seated us somewhere else, even if we would have to have waited awhile for another table to become available, that would have been ok however; he never suggested that.
Always great food and excellent service!
Friday lunch pork chop special is not gluten free.
No gluten free bread served.
Desserts are outstanding but coffee is served lukewarm. Coffee always need to be hot.
Extremely noisy restaurant
Food was wonderful and ended with a wonderful butterscotch desert. Was my husband's birthday and he thought it was wonderful. He loved the salmon.
Excellent service for a larger party celebrating a special occasion. Delicious food as always.
Most of the time I get their famous Pork Chop. This time I decided to do something different. I ordered an appetizer first and then I ordered my Pork Chop. It was a great meal.
Excellent service and excellent food.
The food is very good. Great flavors in all courses. The staff is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Although this is a great steak restaurant, the pork chop is beyond good.
We sat in the bar area, had a fabulous server who had extensive knowledge about their wines, and loved the live music. Had a great night!
A special treat - that is discounted on Friday at lunch. If you like pork chops, this is a must go to restaurant.
Excellent Service & Excellent Presentation with Excellent Food
Best pork chop this side of the Mason Dixon! and the escargot appetizer is simply the best-ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bar tenders make great drinks..
We had an incredible time at Perry’s as always! Thank you!
Went for my husband’s birthday. Service was excellent and the dinner was outstanding as always. Another great experience!
Outstanding pork chop- the best I’ve ever had. This is the only steakhouse where I’ll turn down a steak in favor of something else.
Food and service are always top notch. The pianist is way too loud. You can’t hear the people across the table from you. A real spoiler.
Seven finger pork chop was amazing!
Enjoyed it, but I think we had an inexperienced or newly hired waiter. He was nice but not amazing. We’ve had better service there. He never explained the specials. We had to ask. He did ask if everything was fine. When he brought the to-go bag, he placed it on the floor. My husband picked it up and put it on the table. The service was nice but nothing special.
From a Food-ee ... Food was excellent ... from the appetizer, to the signature dish, to desert, everything was high quality and great flavor. Only drawback was the noise level and traffic of the wait staff where we were seated. I would highly recommend Perry's but be prepared to pay $$$$
Great food and service. One of our favorite spots in the western suburbs. Perry’s steakhouse is always a very solid choice, whatever the occasion.
The lunch special pork chop was fantastic...cooked to perfection. Service is always top notch. The Smoky Rita martini is just right.
Love Friday specials!!!!!
This is one of our favorite spots. Took our kids and my in-laws for the first time. Everyone loved it. But, 3 of us have been on the toilet since we got home. Thinking it had to be the vegetables as we all had different entrees. Other than that, everything was good.
New Years eve
Where do I begin? It was a New Year’s Eve dinner. I expected better. The server (older gentleman) was as good as expected on a hectic evening. Ambience quite pleasant and a live jazz singer (a big plus). In terms of a New Year’s Eve menu, I did not expect anything innovative at a steakhouse, this is not my issue.
However, the food ended up to be below average. Caesar salad was pretty good, and lobster bisque my wife had was okay. As for our steak entrees (again, it’s supposed to be good at a steakhouse, right?): they were not.
Everything was beyond (!) generously seasoned with salt and pepper, emphasis on salt, to the point of being quite inedible. When my wife mentioned it to a server, he explained it’s a Texan thing to season food so generously. Our sides were a big offense: a small scoop of lumpy mashed potatoes (take lessons from
Capital Grille or Devon Seafood and Grill, or even Cooper’s Hawk), and barely blanched carrots, few lonely green beans, and a slice of yellow squash - more than al dente and bland, without much of anything. Here is where the seasoning would have helped: perhaps some herbs or garlic? We decided to let it go and hoped for the nice ending: the dessert.
My cheesecake was pretty good though very sweet, and my wife’s trio was plain bad. Burned top of creme brûlée that split and was a mess. I have to say, first time at Perry’s, and not excited to come back (unless for music and a drink).
We have concluded this was the first time ever we ate less than half of our steaks - the amount of salt (!)/pepper made it impossible to continue.
For the price comparable to other NYE’s dinner menus, I think it was a big letdown. Yet, the music and decor was nice, and the server was polite. We had no energy to ruin our evening to complain.
We were a little disappointed that it was a limited menu for New Year’s Eve. The service was great and the food was good as well! It was pretty loud in there with the music playing .
Thanks to Fivos Antonopoulos for his help on NYE. Outstanding Service
This is our third or fourth NYE at Perrys and I must say this time we felt rushed. The food is always outstanding but the atmosphere was chaotic, the staff at the front desk overwhelmed and it was obvious they were rushing to turn tables. I would dine at Perry's again but probably not NYE.
