Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
After a stressful couple of weeks, I needed something relaxing & appetizing to help release the steam. Perry’s was perfect, especially since they take reservations after 9. The ambiance was great, the live music was spot on & with help from my waitress Angelika, i was able to decide on the best meal I’ve had in months.
We all had the pork chop and shared the fried asparagus and the au gratin potatoes. Nice ambiance, not noisy like Wildfire. All the food was very good. The proportions were large, including the sides. Cocktails were a little light (too well measured?). Service (Steven) was excellent. Not rushed, well paced.
For a high end steakhouse it certainly met our expectations for quality of food, atmosphere etc etc, however I thought it was weird how we closed out at the end of meal. The server came over the table with the dinner dishes uncleared and asked if we would like dessert/coffee to which we replied "no thank you". Typically the staff clears the table and then you are asked if you would like dessert or coffee. Instead with an uncleared table in front of us, she returns with the check. Most steakhouses of this caliber train their staff to clear the table first, ask the dessert question and if declined the check is presented. This might be a technique for a restaurant to clear a non-revenue table quicker as the guest doesn't want to linger looking at dirty dishes but it left a bad impression with us.
The meal was fantastic - with my wife stating that the Black&Blu filet was possibly the best steak she has ever had. I had the pork chop which was incredible but extra large. Service was impeccable as Al could not be more attentive. Additionally a tasting dessert tray for our anniversary was a great touch. Only downside was waiting 25 minutes past reservation time.
This was a great restaurant to visit, my hubby and I like to visit new restaurants often and I found Perry’s on Open Table, the reviews were pretty good so we tried them out and were very pleased with the food, ambiance, wine selection, service etc. Perry’s is definitely on our “Great Restaurants to Visit list”, we will be going back soon.
Jessie our server was fantastic, he was very attentive and respectful. Our crab cakes and steak were Delicious!!!
Food was great. Augratin potatoes were excellent but wasn’t hot when brought to the table. Our server was a bit spacey, asking the same questions over and over. He may have been overwhelmed but....
Other than that, great experience. Would definitively return.
The service was professional from walking in the door to leaving the restaurant and EVERYTHING in between. Our server was extra friendly and had a great personality. His recommendations were spot on. Food was super flavorful and a different spin on traditional steakhouse options!! Definitely recommended!!
Great dinner but our experience was not a god one. There was an obnoxious table next to us that appeared to either be regulars or friends of management - they repeatedly stopped by but did nothing about a woman at the table who dropped the F bomb more than ten times. I have dined there several times but will not in the future.
I also responded to their post visit email with the comments above with no response
The food was excellent! I recommend the pork chop. Albert was a very knowledgeable server. He went above and beyond to satisfy our table. This was my third time at Perry's and I must return.
The fried asparagus is D-licious!
Very nice atmosphere... The food is great. The menu is creative. Lots of food for the money. The staff is very attentive..if they pass your table and see that your done with your meal or out of water...any of the servers address you not just your waiter. They were willing to split a salad for us. Have been here 3 times but only for their Friday lunch from 11 to 4 pm because their prices are less then. We always end up taking half a meal home for the next day.
Reserved private room 79 which is perfect for a group of 6 to 10 people. You enter the circular room via a sliding door which is closed throughout the meal, other than the servers entering the room. There is a round marble table which lights up in the center, providing wonderful ambiance through the evening. Everyone told me a few times during the dinner, and the following day, how perfect the everything was. Nicole was our server and she was very attentive and patient, checking in on us frequently, and letting us take our time to enjoy our reunion dinner and conversation.
My wife and I dined here recently and were somewhat disappointed. I ordered a bone in filet but did not receive a true bone in filet but rather the tenderloin portion of a porterhouse steak. Not a bad steak but not worth it when paying for a true bone in filet. She ordered tuna but they were out (first seating at dinner?). Desert was great, table side preparation was very nice.
Was recommended by a friend, she was definitely not wrong, we went for our wedding anniversary, The food was amazing with steaks that melt in your mouthand the signature fried asparagus was perfect, not to mention but they put some rose petals on the table and also did a complimentary bite size dessert, which hit the spot perfectly, and last but not least our server Steve, he was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu, we would absolutely ask for him again!
