Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Memorial City Ratings and Reviews
There was inside construction going on...during the lunch service. It felt a little dirty and noisy. I was seated by the construction and the curtain wasn’t covering the entire construction area. Also I had written on my reservation that this was a 93rd Birthday celebration for my mother and the waiter did not know. I drove all the way from Austin Texas to take my mother to lunch there. Was somewhat disappointed.
One of our favorite restaurants. Love the specials! Food is great! Just a great place to celebrate
any occasion or just out for a meal! Can't beat the PORK CHOPS.
When asked, " where would you like to go for Dinner ?" (Birthdy, Anniversary , Holidays )
I respond ... Perry's Steakhouse !
We have eaten at Perry's many times, but I was very disappointed on this occasion. We both had the pork chop, but mine was 70% fat. It was challenging to find a bite that didn't include a glob of fat. I probably should have returned it, but the restaurant was very crowded. I appreciate Perry's honoring veterans, but I wish they would implement better quality control on their meats.
Came to Perry’s for the first time to celebrate my birthday with my family. I left unimpressed and felt like the food and service were not worth the price. I wrote that we were celebrating a birthday on my OpenTable reservation and was also asked by the hostess whether we were celebrating a birthday. I thought that I would receive a birthday dessert or some acknowledgement, but the waitress just wished me happy birthday when we first sat down and when we were leaving. Maybe they don’t do anything special for birthdays, but I heard people singing “Happy Birthday” at another table. We also thought the food was mediocre. We had ordered the tomahawk steak, the wagyu beef special, the lamb chops and the banana foster, among others. The wagyu beef was disappointing, with no marbling as the server had described. They tried to flambe the banana foster twice, but even the person who prepared it commented that the presentation could be better. The only item we thought was good was the lamb chops. Overall, what I thought would be a special experience turned out to be a mediocre dinner.
Excellent meal and consistent quality with original Perry's in Friendswood! I have been a fan for 25 years and this location did not disappoint. Out of town business guests from DC equally impressed and we had a great business meeting. Service was impressive and not intrusive. Highly recommend!
Everything was great but the seating staff need to get it together!! We waited (with a reservation) for 15 minutes for the hostess and a rookie server to figure out where they could seat us and it went on and on "no this table" , "no this table" "what about this table" - rookies. They need better staff for a Friday night, come on. Smh. We almost wanted to walk out just because of two dumb kids fighting over tables. Food was amazing though. And main server was on top of his game. Perfect timing, firing, etc. he was also closing server and handled all of his tables very well while closing out the rest of the servers. Job well done.
Once again, I’m sad to say the Perry’s at Memorial City was a disappointment. Our server (Sam) was pleasant and friendly, but the pork chop I had today was the smallest one I’ve ever had at a Perry’s location, and the side dish portions have gotten smaller.
The food was very good, overall. The kitchen undercooked my husband's steak and when it was brought back to him after putting it back on the grill, it was charred on top. Food came out very slow. We were there for almost three hours. The first person who attempted to make the bananas foster burned the flambé, and a chef came out to re-do it, 15 minutes later. The whole staff need to relearn how to make Bananas Foster or take it off the menu. Our waiter was fantastic and the manager was very apologetic. It was certainly an entertaining evening.
We went here for birthday celebrations. We knew it would be expensive and were happy that they extended the Houston Restaurant event until the end of September. The staff was nice. It was a busy night and took us about an hour to receive our entrees. I personally wouldn't go here again because of the price but a special occasion is a nice change of pace.
