Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Memorial City Ratings and Reviews
Took my bride out for Valentine’s. Chose Perry’s because of great past experience. Immediately noticed the place was way too full of people.
We walked to our table, and ended up in the very back of the “extra” dining room. We have been going to this Perry’s for several years and had never been into this area ultras it was for a larger group event.
The air was musty, humid, and there seemed to be a very low level of service personnel, when compared to the main dining room.
Service was almost non-existent, with no dedicated support staff in the area. Our waiter was obviously trying, which was appreciated,,and the food was fine (not awesome) ... but when we ordered a drink at 8:52, and still didn’t have it at 9:15, we knew it was time to go.
The manager happened to come by, and made the mistake of asking us how our experience was .... so we told him. He apologized profusely, and comped our dinner .... certainly appreciated. But honestly, as we walked out, through the main dining room, brimming with servers, staff, and air conditioning ..., I knew we would not be back any time soon.
Perry’s should know better. If you can’t cover your tables, don’t take a reservation.
My husband and I chose Perry's for our Vday dinner and it was very disappointing. They had a Valentine's dinner menu that you had to select from, which was a turn off because we couldn't choose our sides. So we paid over $250 and were stuck with raw "steamed" vegetables and whipped potatoes. Our medium steak was very very rare, and our waiter Austin was horrible. He complained the entire time about having to work so much and wanting to go home. He wasn't professional at all, and kept reaching over our plates... which seems pretty slack for Perry's Steakhouse. Not to mention our drinks only got refilled twice and we were there for over 1.5 hours.
We had a reservation but it was on Valentine’s Day so I will cut them some slack. However our waiter was not very personable and the food took a very long time to come; again because it was Valentine’s Day. I also spilled a drink at the bar at which time the hostess called us for our table. Instead of having someone carry my 3 mini martinis, my husband had to carefully carry them himself. I didn’t think that was very appropriate but again it was Valentine’s Day.
The waitress was horrible, so I really can't fault Perry's directly. She was slow and unconcerned and it wasn't just me, everyone in our section complained. Other than that, I thought it was a nice Valentine's Dinner. I did not like the fact they had a limited menu, but I understood given the volume of guests they were expecting.
We enjoy the food at Perry’s and visit often. The food was very good, they had a special preset menu for Valentine’s Day. Our server was nice but it wasn’t the best service we have had at Perry’s and what would be expected for this price point. We did enjoy our evening and it was a nice dinner.
We celebrated our good friend’s birthday. We usually dine in Sugar Land and Cinco Ranch locations. We found out this location with some friends about a week ago. The food is not too salty in compared with the others. The dinning room is spacious and the lighting not too dark in compare with others. The services were courteous, attentive and friendly. The food are delicious. Although, this location is far from our home, we definitely will be back in the nearly future.
My date and I have been to Perry’s many many times the waiter wasn’t as friendly as others on this occasion. Didn’t even tell us his name. No update on specials or overview of the menu, that I’m accustomed to. Once food was on the way he open my dinner napkin placed it on my lap, my date made the comment “this is a first” . He replied “ you should go better restaurants then“ . Didn’t bother me but she was offended as we’ve been to several higher end / upscale restaurants in Houston. I would suggest to Perry’s waiter staff review Perry’s policy / procedure on customer friendly atmosphere. It’s the little things these guys have done that has won my dining of choice with Perry’s several times in a month.
our waiter told us the Pork chop would be gluten-free and then when my daughter tested the meal in her gluten sensor it came back with gluten in it. My chef then came by and said there was gluten in the seasoning. Ok, well it's not gluten free then. Our waiter forgot to put leftovers in a take away bag. He was pretty off. I will go again, but request to NOT be in the back room which looked like a cafeteria. Friday lunches are busy and I get it, but that room was like sitting at breakfast at a Hampton Inn.
My husband and I always enjoy Perry's for a romantic date night.
The food is always wonderful and the service is usually pretty great.
We enjoy the food options and the food is yummy! My husband always orders the Pork Chop and I always love their steak and seafood options.
The food was excellent, the pricing fine, the service was slow, the server did not offer salad or appetizers before the meal and did not offered coffee or anything at the end of the meal.
It took 45 minutes for our food to be served after the server took the order.
We have been to Perry's many times. This last visit we noticed they had significantly bumped the prices of two of their signature items, while other items on the menu remained close to the same price. The price for the Asparagus is now over $18 for seven spears, this is an increase of several dollars, the pork chop (also a signature dish) has been raised several dollars so that it is now close to the price of a steak. Other items on the menu remain close to the price the last time we were here. We enjoy Perry's and will likely continue to go here. However, we may choose other options because of this. I do not feel it is not a wise move for Perry's to raise prices this much on the signature items.
This is my first experience dining at this location. We had been to Sugar Land and Cinco Ranch location. The dining room is spacious between the tables and beautiful. The food was delicious, not too sweet or salty like the other two locations. The hostesses are friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our evening. Definitely, we will be back.
I made reservations to take a client to Perry's Memorial for lunch on a Wednesday and we both ordered the Pork Chop. Our waiter asked if we wanted bread and we said yes. He came back to the table almost immediately with bread and our pork chops. As he set our plates down he let us know that they no longer carve the pork chop for you during lunch. Though I was OK with that, I could have used a better knife to carve my chop. The chop was dry and difficult to cut with the dinner knife. I ended up eating very little though my client ate his entire chop. My husband and I dine at the Perry's in Katy and their pork chops at dinner are awesome.
This was a late night reservation that was close to closing time, but that shouldn't make a difference when it comes to service and presentation.
One guest did not receive the whole meal that was placed, missing the steak. Secondly,
the celebrant's food arrived over cooked, and the replacement steak came out well after everyone was done with their meal
