Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Memorial City
Book your next event with us
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday with a group of close friends and she had ordered a dessert that would be flambé’d table side but all other guests received their desserts and it took nearly 10 minutes for her dessert to be prepared, this is why I did not give 5 stars for service. All other aspects of this visit were exceptional, ambiance is fantastic though it was a little loud in the restaurant that night.
As always, the food was incredible and the drinks were spot on! Our experience started out a little rough as we sat there for 10 minutes before we were able to flag a manager and explain that nobody had been by our table. It several more minutes before our server showed up. Being that we eat at Perry’s several times a year, we didn’t really need help with the menu, but our server seemed a little out of touch or should I say distracted during our entire meal. He got the job done, but we have definitely had much, much better service at this location. We arrived before the rush, so our food came out beyond amazing! I had the 14oz ribeye and honestly, it was probably the best steak I’ve ever had at Perry’s and I’ve never had a bad steak at this location. They’ve gone up on the prices by a few dollars, but it’s well worth it. One thing I’d like to see them do, is buy a higher quality blue cheese, it was dry and brittle and in no way creamy. What they had is similar to a store brand quality compared to something you’d expect at an upscale steakhouse. That’s my only complaint when it comes to the food.
Once again the food and atmosphere was excellent! You won't be disappointed
I do not like your method of provided a receipt for charges by email. I expect to be provided a total charge receipt at the time of service closure, not an itemize receipt by email.
Great service!!! Our waiter was excellent!!
The food was amazing!!
Friday lunch at Perry’s is nearly impossible to beat!! Awesome in every way!!
Richard and his staff took care of us and we had a wonderful time. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
Our waiter was he best and mom had a great birthday dinner.
Nice birthday dinner.
This was our first time and we loved it!
Everything was great but we had fruit flies that continued to fly around our table. The manager was very nice and moved us and gave us a free side dish (the Lyonnaise potatoes which were amazing) but the flies continued to pester us at the new table. We’ll be back but wanted the management to be aware.
Decided to go to Perry's memorial since it was since it was more logistically correct. I normally got to the champion location and never had a problem. I arrived 12 minutes before my reservation (which I made a week in advance), I was informed that my table was taken by someone who arrive an hour and 30 minutes earlier than my 12:30pm reservation (how does that not raise some flag I'm shocked), They seated me 15 minutes after I arrived and never apologize for the error. they did show me who took my reservation and they were seated in a great table with a great view, while we had the great displeasure of being seated in packed and stuffed area of the restaurant. I expected some kind apology from management but it never came, he seated us but disappear without acknowledging their mistake. They food was good both the appetizer and entrée, I normally get serve some kind of bread in the champion location that never happened in memorial. next time I will try to find a different restaurant in the area.
It was amazing! And, it was my client’s first time to dine at Perry’s and she loved it!!! Thank you for high quality!
Scott the waiter kept us laughing and made our night. He was very attentive and made sure we were taken care. The food was just right and me and my fiancé will definitely be going back .
Perry's never seems to fail me. It was my wedding anniversary and they had red rose petals on the table. Our waitress was Karen and she did an amazing job. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.
Love the desserts that they gave us for our anniversary. Food and drinks were amazing like always.
So we went here for a date while visiting a bridal shop for our upcoming wedding and we asked for a romantic secluded area not in the middle of the restaurant. However we were placed at a booth next to the server station where servers were arguing and unfortunately our candle at our booth was not working and was beeping the entire time while all other candles at every other table was working.. our server was aware but did not replace it. :(
I had made a reservation for 1:30pm my table was not ready and restaurant was not crazy packed I still had to wait about 7 minutes. Our waiter was nice but he never brought out straws for our drinks and once we got our food he never came back to ask for refills. Our food did come out pretty quick but my porkchop was mainly fat I didn't enjoy it at all I did eat all the mashed potatoes but left almost all my porkchop.
Went for the Friday porkchop lunch.
Very good deal for bucks!
Can’t beat Pork Chop Friday
The evening was ruined by slow service at every phase, such that it was one hour and 45 minutes after being seated that we received our main courses. We ordered wine and it took 15 minutes before the bottle was opened, starters took 45 minutes and we even had to wait for the check after we finished eating. Very poor experience.
Great for a date night or Anniversary dinner. Our server was impeccable, efficient and very welcoming. A wealth of knowledge on wines. While the food was ok, I was quite disappointed after ordering the lobster tail with my dish. They serve a rock lobster, not Maine, and I was charged $29 for a 4 oz portion. There's a huge difference between the two in terms of depth of flavor. Should Perry's disclose this, yes. But I also should have inquired before ordering it. I would most assuredly not have ordered a rock lobster tail.
Aside from that, this was a relatively hood experience.
Fabulous food, staff, service and ambiance. Highly recommend the pork!!
NY Strip on the bone was well prepared and flavorful. However, sides were horrible. Baked potato was not fully cooked and actually cold to the touch. Same with the creamed spinach and asparagus. Appears the sides were an afterthought and rushed when steaks were ready.
Great customer service and food
Pork chop Friday did not disappoint. It was delicious and came out quickly. However, there was a very dirty plate left on our table, like someone had say it there. Then I noticed another plate at one of the place settings, plus the table cloth was very stained in places. This was a bit of a disappointment because I expect more from Perry's. If you are sat in any of the proper dining rooms, the nosie level is usually minimal, however, the bar reserved setting area was very loud and we could barely hear each other.
Food was good, portions generous (even too much), meat absolutely outstanding but I found the place overpriced.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday w/ close friends...great food & outstanding service!
Great atmosphere. Great customer service. The food was delicious:)
Food and service were good but it was very loud where we were seated.
This is our favorite restaurant for celebrating our anniversary. The ambiance is calm and elegant, the service is dependably good - attentive without being annoying. The food during restaurant weeks is a sensationally good value, and fine at other times.
Invited friends for “first time” visit, Fri lunch. Ordered 2 pork chop lunches-had been bragging about them. They both were very dry and replaced. The second ones were better but drier than I have had at this location or another Perry’s location.
Servive, staff, etc were excellent. Call if have any questions.
Great restaurant, staff is attentive, food is wonderful, and we are always seated within 10 minutes of our arrival.
I have never been disappointed with Perry's.
Food was excellent, nice portion. The appetizer was small though, not as large as a regular side. We got the cheapest thing on the menu and it was delicious but other prices were very high.
Good food. Interior looks like something from the 70’s. Had to compete with 80’s on 8 blasting overhead to hear our clients speaking. Waiter stopped by initially, we told him we would be doing wine and cocktails. It was almost 20 minutes before he returned. He pimped the seafood tower which we ordered. It came with one dish of warm butter that we awkwardly shared amongst the six of us. I asked for some small seafood forks which he informed me they did not have. When he took our entree orders, he walked away leaving all six menus on the already crowded table. Thankfully, the food was excellent. Biggest bummer is that our car was broken into despite being in the valet lot.
Good food, good service. The creamed spinach is the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favor make sure when being seated you're where you need to be in order to hear & be heard.
First time in Perry's Memorial City and we had a good time. We tried the Houston Restaurant Week menu and I must say that the Pork Chop easily feeds two or three. No sides were included in the price, but with that much meat, probably won't have room for a side dish. Server was attentive and ambiance was nice. Would recommend.
A great last evening with visiting family
It was my birthday dinner. It took 40 minutes to get food. Steak went back twice and it was still bloody. No mention of my birthday. It was bad and I’m always so impressed with Perry’s over the years. I was extremely disappointed.
Amazing. That’s all!!
I would recommend to a friend with the qualifiers:
1) It's expensive - 60 bucks for a bottle of mediocre house wine just rankles me.
2) Food is ok but, again, seems like you're paying a surcharge for the name.
3) The service we experienced, for a $400 meal for 4, was atrocious.....the waiter was disengaged, inattentive, and, to top it off, served the aforementioned wine in the wrong glass. (Yea, I know, we should have called for the manager but we were trying to salvage the evening without further aggravation)
There were no food snobs in our party but we expected better from this well known establishment.
