First off I had a table of 11 for lunch. I was very disappointed in my pork chop, which we all but one had. I have not had the chance to go in a LONG time. I was expecting it to be cut for me as it was the last time I was there it was not. So about 6 of us were really struggling to cut the pork chop. Mine was fatty and since I was not aware how to cut it was not as good as I wanted it to be after waiting so long to be able to come and have lunch. My guest next too me did not get her applesauce so I gave her mine she is high maint. - I asked for a replacement but never received it. We were there early and it was not at full seating lots of empty around us.
Celebrating a close friend opening his first business and also his first time at Perry’s! Always excellent service. Great atmosphere and savory foods.
Always look for an opportunity to come to Perry's to eat. It is always a first class experience, and service is great,
Always love the food and service. Bar waitstaff is personable. Scott Covington on piano on Thursdays is the draw!
Service an food was excellent! The server timed her visits so as not to interfere with the table conversation and her service was outstanding.
I made a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday and both of us were surprised our waiter (Charles) was the best he was very friendly informational about the food drinks etc he gave us recommendations for drinks and desserts we had a wonderful time my boyfriend was extra happy we plan on making this our date night spot from now on we’ll definitely refer our friends and will might bring a party thanks for the great night
A breakdown of our visit:
1. There were gnats flying around our table and all around the restaurant. This was a huge problem.
2. The pork chop was excellent, the steak was about average. There are other steakhouses with better quality steaks with better seasoning without the burnt exterior crust. 3. The crab cake is a must-have and the desserts are a nice item to share.
4. The bottle of wine recommended by our waiter was exceptional.
5. Bar drinks were excessively filled with ice and significantly overpriced. The entire glass of the mojito was all ice. Each glass contained about 4 oz of drink and the rest ice. Worst bar drinks ever experienced at a top of the line steakhouse.
Not the fine dining experience I was looking for to celebrate my mother’s birthday
Tables were being sat all around us with people wearing gym shorts and t-shirts.
Guess Perry’s doesn’t have a dress code.
It took away from the over all experience
I celebrated my 31st birthday with close friends and family. Reservations were for 8:30 pm. On the way to the restaurant, we got into a car accident and one individual had to be transported to the hospital. We didn’t arrive until 9:45 pm. The kitchen closes at 10 pm and the restaurant closed at 11 pm. The manager gave the green light to sit us anyway! The food, service and desert was amazing! Definitely one of my faves!
This was our first visit to Perry's, and it will definitely be on our list of top Houston restaurants in the future. The service, food, and atmosphere were excellent.
The food, ambience and service was phenomenal! The server we had, Scott, was by and large the best server I’ve ever had.
Always great food an amazing service
I took my coworker here for his first visit and he was blown away. We had a great lunch! Thank you!
My filet and asparagus were good. Bread was hotter, better and fresher than when I was there on 27th. Music was normal. On 27th, it was obnoxiously loud.
My date’s 10 oz filet disappointed. His tab was $228 plus gratuity. It did include Rombauer wine. I like Perry’s but think prices are too high.
Alaina our server was amazing. She was very attentive but also unobtrusive. It was my son's birthday and she made it extra special. The food was perfectly cooked. We had the cowboy ribeye, scallops and many sides. We asked for medium and it was perfectly cooked. The wine selection is extensive and moderately priced for the choices. We love this location.
Perry's signature pork dish (ribs, "eyelash", and chop) is prepared with a very tasty sauce that coats the meat. We were already full before getting to the large chop which served as a very good leftover later in the week. Lovers of lean meat, however, should pass on the pork dish.
I usually get the pork chop. The first time I had the pork chop, it was AMAZING! However, the last couple of times, it was just very good. I have had the filet, and it is extremely good. However, the chargrilled salmon caught my eye, and it sounded delicious. It was delicious! Fabulous! I also usually choose the Lyonnaise potatoes and the creamed spinach, but I decided to try something new. We had the creamed corn and the siracha Brussel sprouts. They were fantastic! I wanted to have dessert (molten lava chocolate cake), but I was much too full. The dinner was fabulous! The service was wonderful. :)
The facility is spacious and beautiful. Food and service were Great.
Good food overall. Had the Salmon, yes - at a steakhouse, cooked correctly and tasty. Coworker had the pork chop special-pretty darn juicy. Been here a few times, that is the juiciest pork chop I have seen yet. Well done, we will be back.
The waiter seemed knowledgeable about the menu, but seemed a little unsure of himself as he might’ve been new. We ordered and I asked for a petite fillet with a lobster tail. Within 10 minutes of bringing our salad the waiter brought all of our hot food at the same time. He apologize but should have never submitted the order that early. We had explained to him that we were in no hurry as we were old friends catching up. I was shocked at the presentation of my entrée. A dinner plate with a piece of meat in the center and half of a lobster tail that look like the size of a large shrimp. Horrible presentation and I was very disappointed. I have eaten at Perrys steakhouse in Sugarland many times so I’m familiar with the menu and the presentation. I wanted to talk to the manager but did not want to put my guest and an uncomfortable situation. I will say that the bartenders And my drinks were phenomenal. Enjoyable evening. Great waitress. Not to busy at 7:30
The music was just to loud, I could hardly hear the people at our table.
Excellent service and great quality food. I will be going back.
We love to eat in the Bar area and listen to the piano
Had a great time at this location! Server was prompt and friendly! The food was amazing as always! The visual aesthetics where they placed me (by the wine cellar) was unforgettable. I recommend to everyone!
Pork chop Friday special is a must
The best lunch spot on a Friday you can have in Memorial city!!!!
Pork chop Friday is a real hit with our family! Love the food and the service.
This is a high class steakhouse with a luxurious feel to it. Service was very attentive and polite but not overbearing. The 3 appetizers and 4 sides we tried were all very good; however, all of our steaks were over cooked (medium rare came out medium well). Although the server asked everyone individually if their steak "was cooked to perfection", there are situations (business dinners) where you don't want to send your food back. Of the 5 beers we ordered, only 1 of us received exactly what we asked for. The other 4 were similar in style but not what was ordered. On the whole, I expected a much better meal from a $500+ dinner for 5. I will not be returning.
Very good place for a business dinner, which suited our purpose.
Our waitress was awesome
Great experience we look forward to our next visit.
The food at this location was not as good as some of the other Houston area locations.
Mediocre experience, service was slow and at times way too pushy on alcohol beverage service. Dinner orders were placed incorrectly and upon ordering dessert our after dinner drinks were improperly prepared and served as is. Additionally, from previous service experience, you don’t leave a mistake on the table for the customer...”drink this we won’t charge you for it” mentality is not becoming of a Perry’s Establishment.
Yes I would recommend Perry's to a friend but . I felt that the food, not the porkchop could have been better. the plate just seemed a bit stingy. It was served with mashed potatoes and the apple sauce. It just seemed lacking balance. There should have been another vegetable preferably green. maybe some peas or whatever. I have eaten there before so this was not something new to me. I specifically went there for the porkchop.
Good food, nice friendly staff. Loved the valet service.
Outstanding food and service. Best steaks we have had in years!
I didn’t get good service Perry’s ruined my night, it was our anniversary and they didn’t have the table I recuested ready, they didn’t have any of the notes in my appointment they didn’t know what kind of wine bottle I recuested. The waiter took too much time to come to our table, he was taking care of other customers and apparently he didn’t have time for us. It was our worts anniversary ever!!!! We’re not going back at all and definitely not recommend it to nobody. We ended at Taste of Texas where we were treated to a very nice dinner and first class service!!!! But I was going to surprise my wife at Perry’s because she always wanted to eat there, but they ruined it for me!!!!!
Overall it was my first visit, so it was amazing.
Very nice restaurant, excellent food. A bit expensive.
