Service was just right-not overbearing and never neglectful. I wonder if I wasn’t hungry enough to give the food 5 stars. Nonetheless, we had a great evening.
Server was always in a hurry. Spilled water constantly when refilling. Never cleaned dirty plates off the table. I had to move them off and place them on empty table. Steak was over cooked and so was lobster tail.
This is a great restaurant; however, you have to be careful as Perry's is not consistent. With reservations, we still waited for 40 minutes to be seated. The food was great, but the temperature was off. The meat was barely warm, the risotto was extremely hot and the Brussels sprouts were moderately hot. Service was very slow (likely they were overwhelmed). The evening dinner took 2-1/2 hours with likely 1-1/2 hours of this time just sitting and waiting for the next course. We watched other parties waiting for 45 minutes for a dessert. There's was no apology or explanation for the slow service; however, from sitting on the balcony looking down it was obvious entire restaurant was slow as many tables had dirty dishes just sitting waiting to be cleared. Perry's is normally a great place; however, only every-other time. We will return, but probably not for 9-12 months.
We were very dissatisfied with our experience here. The waiter was not friendly, did not know the product, and was continually forgetting our requests. We continued to be kind and patient but for a $500 + dinner the service was unacceptable. The manager did come out and try to make up for it. Our lobster and wagu beef came out cold. Our son (with dairy allergy which was explained) orders the pork chop and it came out with butter curds on top. He was too afraid to eat it,so they offered to give him a new one. Which we were told was in our to go bag—-it was not . So he ate nothing, and nothing was comped from our bill. When you order wagu rare, and it gets to the table cold , they just heated it up, over cooked it and brought it back. Unacceptable for a $300 entrée .
A fine dining established needs to ensure they have appropriate servers. This guy was not that he could not answer any questions not even what sauce does the shrimp appetizer cone with or how many. This does not give me any confidence that a food allergy concern would be handled appropriately and it was not.
One word: Phenomenal. The staff was very accommodating for a large non-traditional group of out of towners. Just give them enough advanced notice for a bigger group. The steaks were excellent and the sides were family style (2-3 people) so we all got to share. The wine list was very comprehensive and the cocktails were very good - I usually don't drink mixed drinks but the Mango Tango had a great sweet heat from a habanero kick. Our large party (12 ish) sat in the bar area next to the piano which added a nice ambience. All around a great place for an authentic Texas Steak dinner.
The Pork chop was amazing no way you could eat it al. Service from the waitress was great too.
Everything was great, we have been there before and will continue going
Went early to have a beverage before dinner. Took too long to get anyone’s attention we could communicate with. Ordered an app and drinks. Drinks good. App was lukewarm.
Dinner seated in upper dining room. Started well but server became increasingly absent. Seemed to be running downstairs a lot. Was held hostage for almost 30 minutes trying to pay the bill to get home and relive the babysitter. Worst Perry’s experience ever. Horrible compared to Houston experiences.
The pork chop, words cannot describe
We love going to Perry’s for pork chop Friday! We are going to miss it when we move to South Carolina.
Perfect place for a birthday and the lunch special was amazing!! Glad I experienced this with the people I care about
My first visit. Great food in an elegant setting. I was very pleased to get blue point oysters in South Texas.
Our waiter was really personable and extremely helpful. The food was very well cooked. It was all around a good atmosphere for a higher end date night.
Excellent tasting steaks. After going to Sullivan's for our trice annual celebrations, we were not sure what to expect. But after hearing comments from other people, we were not surprised with the quality and customer service that we received. It was our anniversary and they made it extra special.
My girlfriend and I celebrated valentine's day together and the whole experience was outstanding.
Excellent service and food. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu!
The filet and the pork chop are always amazing. Servers were attentive, and the ambiance is enjoyable.
Great first experience. The interior is impressive once you walk in, and we got to sit by the vault door. The food was exceptional, thanks for introducing me to my new favorite steak!
food was great, and i love the set menu. We got there late and they still seated us it was amazing
Waited 30 minutes to be seated after we checked in for our reservation. (I get it it’s Valentines dinner) the hostess had no eye contact what so ever.
It was a great pre fixed menu and the fried asparagus was to die for (way better than last time we were there) the courses weren’t coordinated well... dessert was brought to our table two minutes after we got our entree. We saw our server two times when he took our order and when he dropped off the check. Overall the food was great.
Valentines Day menu wasover priced. $240 w/tip for two and no alcohol.
The atmosphere and service was good and the food was great.
As usual, our visit to Perry's steakhouse was beyond excellent! First of all I must commend the service! The wait staff, every single one of them, are attentive, happy, and they go the extra mile to make your experience special! We have our favorites who will I'll always keep us coming back for more. It's like family! We always bring our out of town guests there to share our experiences with them.
Until soon Perry's,
Service was a bit slow for us, but I think it was not our server's fault. He seemed to have to be training and dealing with too many tables at once.
The food was good, but not commensurate with price.
Worst fine dining experience in memory. Good ambiance and great calamari, but absolutely atrocious service and steak was not even warm. I'm low maintenance, but our experience warranted a review.
Service: The waiter rarely came around, and twice he literally walked away mid-sentence as we tried to order (one was a bottle of wine that had a similar name to a bottle 6x the price). Later we ordered two Macallan drinks (not cheap), and after waiting forever, finally had to alert the hostess that we had no idea where our waiter was. He comes around a few minutes later, plops them down, and I said "we thought you forgot". To which he actually laughed and said "ha I did". Not even an attempt at an apology, and walks away. We were 3 chill guys with a $500 tab and this treatment is obviously unacceptable.
Food: the calamari was unique and amazing. However, 2 of us got the surf n turf, and food was room temperature, like the entrees had been sitting undelivered for a long time. We didn't bother sending back given the level of service to that point, and ate our losses.
Needless to say, there a lots of places where you can spend a lot and have a great experience, and we won't be returning here.
Excellent food and presentation. Very attentive to our needs. Made our anniversary special with rose petals on table and a special trio dessert!
The food was amazing as always.
The waitress was awesome, Jennifer, I think.
She was aware of the food allergies at the table and defended us from a bread basket ha!
Did not think it was worth the money. Steak was undercooked and when they tried to fix it they over cooker it and had too much salt. And both of my cocktails were either too sweet or had too much bitters. Everything else was great. Just expected more.
Perry's is my absolute favorite place to eat! It is pretty pricey so we only go when there is a special occasion, but the food is AMAZING!
