Birthday celebration
Went in for my wife’s birthday. Notated the reservation that we were celebrating. Unfortunately, no one bothered to read the note as no one wished her a happy birthday or even brought out a birthday dessert. Very disappointing to try to make a special day for someone and the restaurant completely disregards it.
Additionally, service was mediocre and the food was not worth the price tag. I went in anticipating a high end steakhouse but it felt more like a restaurant chain - no attention to detail and nothing special about their steaks. To add insult to injury our steaks were over cooked.
In short, not worth the price tag. Skip it.
Lately the food quality has gone down. Ordered a Ribeye that was half fat, my wife ordered a Pittsburgh rare tomahawk and came medium plus. They need to fix these wrinkles
Very disappointed this time, we have been many times this restaurant was one of our favorites. But after arriving we sensed a real change. First, the staff seemed not as prepared, but then they were disorganized on seating and tried to sit us on top of other people we had to request a bit more space. Second, the bathroom was filthy!
To top it off, our wine glasses were super dirty and we had to ask to replace them. Waiter was mortified they were so bad as if just wiped out not even washed. How is that possible to have them being hand wiped in this day of covid at a minimum. Our waiter was really clueless - Perry's has spectacular training - everything is usually seamless, but it really was not a great experience and we felt like everything was "off". Small details were missing, no ketchup, no cocktail sauce, no replacing silverware after a course no removing used plates or other used items/garbage..... little details but not acceptable for a restaurant like Perry's so maybe management changed but unfortunately we won't go back.
Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service above and beyond!! Our new fav!
I love it! Favorite restaurant in Miami right now!
We called to advice that we were late due to unexpected road accident/traffic. The hostess practically discouraged us from arriving stating all tables were committed and they were very busy with only bar availability for walk ins. When we arrived good 50% tables were empty inside and in the hour we were there many remained empty. If we hadn’t had such a great experience the previous visit we would have taken our business elsewhere.
Once seated our waitstaff (Connor and Ulysses), whom we had in our previous visit, were fantastic and nothing like the hostess. Food was perfect.
Undecided to return.
Excellent our waiter was fantastic Rodrigo!!!
Great experience for being the first time at this restaurant I went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary & we both enjoyed everything about the restaurant from starters to drinks and main course the service was amazing & the restaurant did great with the table decoration
Plenty of outdoor seating during these difficult Covid times.Food was good,Frank our server was real professional.
My family and I had dinner there for my husband’s birthday and really enjoyed everything. The ambiance, the service from our waiter and the food was spectacular. We specially loved the spicy calamari and the pork chop was so yummy. Can’t wait to go back and try the bread pudding.
Everything was outstanding
The service was pretty terrible during my last visit. Our waiter would disappear and was nowhere to be found. We ended up ordering our entrees with another server.
We went for an early dinner on a Friday nite and sat outside. Our waiter Lionel was fantastic, quick, and extremely on the ball. The only drawback was there were a lot of small children so it was a bit noisy with toddlers screaming and roaming about. The pork chop was delicious and big enough to share. We had the baked potato loaded and the wedge salad was all amazing as well. So overall, good choice but next time will do a later time to switch up the ambiance.
My guest said The boneless rib eye was great as were our lamb chops. The wedge salad was very good with blue cheese dressing rather than getting their buttermilk. The drink pours are weak and basically that’s the biggest criticism. They make so much on drinks that a great steak house should give a great pour!
Excellent atmosphere and service
Best steak in Miami
Very comfortable atmosphere, but not too casual. Delicious food. Friendly and accommodating staff. Just a wonderful place to spend a special evening with family or friends.
Outstanding experience all around from start to finish. Make sure to ask about the Off Menu items.
The pork chop was beyond amazing and incredible presentation! Drinks were good, not great, and on the pricey side. Service accommodating, but on slow side. Would go back, but wasn’t what I’d call a relaxing meal, surprising for an early Sunday evening.
The temperature of our steaks were swapped. I asked mine for medium and my girlfriend asked for it medium well and they came out vice versa. The server did not come around at the time so we come not tell him because he was swamped with other tables. Unfortunately, food tasted good but not we ordered them. In addition, our dessert had wax paper in the ice cream we ordered.
No very kin of writing reviews unless I believe that they’ll service some purpose.
About last night...
The waiter we had, was excellent, he was from Tunisia and surprisingly he was fluent in Spanish!
He tried to his max to accommodate us in a timely manner, but we had to wait more than acceptable for our appetizers, and again for the main courses.
We almost decided against dessert for that reason and again, we waited more than we should have.
I guess being a Saturday night and having a full house was not a manageable situation for the kitchen and we paid the consequences.
Normally something I always have praised Perry’s for it’s been it’s service, not such a good dinning experience this time.
Sadly I took a couple there for their first time to celebrate her graduation and they were not to impress with my choice.
I have eaten there ( the Gables location) three times and like I said the service and the food had always been superb. Kind of disappointed last night, but with that said, I’ll give it another try in the future, because the our food was excellent and the waiter did an amazing job trying make up for the tardiness of the kitchen.
Don’t let this deter you from going there, but if it happens to you too, at least you were alerted..;)
for the most part Perry's is usually a good experience but, this visit was certainly not to be remembered. The experience left a lot to be desired. The food took for ever to come. The french onion soup was cold, the Brussel sprouts which are usually excellent were soggy and mushy just not edible. The pork chop is always good but hard to enjoy after waiting two hours for the food. The service was lacking but I do not think it was the waitresses fault and did feel she deserved the generous tip that i left her. She was doing the best she could with the amount of tables she was taking care of.
i observed the managers while and they were more concerned with turning a table then to insure the experience of the guest. Not one of them approached to receive feed back from the guest or picked up a plate from a table or that i saw filled a glass of water. To me shows lack of teamwork on management side.
i will not give up on Perry's but will give it a rest hopefully it will get back its glory.
Horrible service... waited 40 minutes for a bottle of wine. Asked to speak to he manager never came by. Food arrived over an hour after been sat... no one came by to check on us. Will never go back!
Two out of 4 steaks were served raw, which were supposed to be cooked medium-well. We returned them, and they basically burned them. We couldn’t eat them.
Inexperienced waiters , slow service , the wine took forever to arrive,we were forgotten no one came to clean up the table after we finished our meal , had to call our server to let him know , cups for expresso were inappropriate, coffee was served in a regular coffee cup that’s unacceptable! horrible service, Food was excellent, and delicious but the poorly trained staff turned our dinner into a disaster.
Awesome, always full, consistent food. Great wines too!
I ordered the calamari which were nice and spicy deep-fried with a breading. My entrée was the redfish which is a very dense fish but unfortunately I did not like the heavy barbecue style sauce that it was prepared with. The bread that came to the table was simply awful; White bread with no crust and zero flavor. My husband’s steak was ordered with the request that it be charred. It came to the table uncharred. All in all a mediocre experience, not worth the 180 with tip tab.
Excellent atmosphere - both indoor and outdoor seating. Great food and service.
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and Perry’s made sure to make it special. We showed up, to the restaurant about 10 minutes late, but were promptly seated. Our tables was adorned with beautiful rose petals. Our server, Nick, definitely made our meal special and one to remember. Definitely a place to go for special events. Thank you again.
I went to Perry's on Saturday for a girlfriends birthday. It was a perfect day to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Miami weather. The food was amazing! They have a beautiful wine list! The service was exceptional. I was very impressed and will most definitely be back!
Overall very nice. Went twice and liked our food generally though we noted they are inconsistent with seasoning. Had salmon and mushrooms that were over-salted, orecchiette pasta with literally no seasoning at all, tomato sauce that was sweet. So kind of hit or miss.
Fabulous! The wedge salad and pork shop are the best I’ve ever had and the portion is enough for 2! The onion soup delicious too. The decor is gorgeous and our waiter Elijah was so helpful and was right on with all recommendations. The Grey Goose cosmo and martinis were perfect and the bread pudding amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent special on Fridays. The pork chop was delicious!
Sebastian the waiter is amazing! & the Pork Chop is great!
Everything was good! Our appetizer came out very salty, they took it back and replaced it, no issues!
I love this place. Everything was perfect
Poor service, main bar person with horrible actitud
Great outdoor terrace and happy hour. Enjoyed their cocktail menu.
My wife and I went for our anniversary, and all I have to say is wow. Everything was amazing. They are known for their famous pork chops, but I didn’t want to order that for dinner because I want to steak. However, they have the pork chop bites, which are the same pork chops just cut into chunks for an appetizer. I have to say it is probably the best Porkchop I’ve ever had. The ribeye was absolutely phenomenal. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and you could’ve cut it with a butter knife. The lobster mac & cheese was another great hit. My wife had the snapper and she absolutely loved it. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake and the white chocolate cheesecake. The cake is definitely for someone who loves chocolate. Very rich and not too sweet. The cheesecake was sweet, but extremely tasty. Highly recommend this place.
