Food excellent but service was not up to Perry’s standard.
I have been to perrys before but this was the first time at this location. We were sat right on time with the reservation. We were glad we made a reservation because the place was very busy. My entire party was happy with their meal. I will go back.
Great place for friends, family or business folks to gather for a great meal. Great steaks cooked right with good service and friendly atmosphere .
The food as usual was wonderful. The asparagus is a delicious starter. If you have never tried it then it is a must. The wine list is extensive. It is not hard to find a great bottle of wine. Some a bit over priced but you can find it there. The waitress found out it was our anniversary and brought rose petals to decorate our table, nice touch. It was somewhat loud in the main dining room so the hostess was very gracious and sat us at a table in the back that was quieter.
We did not care for the remodel since Hurricane Harvey. We preferred the less open design from before. Decor is bland. Very noisy. Awful view of the parking lot. Should cover windows with artwork or pretty window coverings.
Food was outstanding. Service was even better thanks tomJamie, our server. She really made the dining experience a truly special event for us. She is a real credit to both herself and Perry’s.
It was a great night
Great food and service. Noise level was a little loud.
The food is always great, ambience great. Noise level was very high but we expected that. Our server was not the best we’ve ever had. Not sure if she had two many tables or what. But we waited a lot for water, the bill, desserts, etc. did t dampen our fu. However.
EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! WE HAD A RESERVATION, SO AS SOON WE ARRIVED WE WERE GREETED AND PROMPTLY SEATED. THE SERVER WAS AMAZING, KNEW THE MENU AND MADE REAT RECOMMENDATIONS. SHE WAS FRIENDLY AND WE SHARED MANY LAUGHS. WE HAD A VERY NICE COMPLIMENTARY DESSERT BECAUSE WE WERE CELEBRATING OUT 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. THANK YOU!
The food is great, and the service is too, but the renovations changes have really turned up the noise level. It is very difficult to carry a conversation.
Always a wonderful meal and good time at Perry's. Love the new remodel.
We live close by and I also frequent for business lunch on Fridays. The food and the service is as good as ever. Since reopening, I don't care too much for the new open plan of the main dining area. My wife & I were out to enjoy a quiet romantic meal together but found a couple of large parties (around 12 - 20) that were extremely loud. A foursome seated right by this crowd asked to be reseated. The restaurant has lost that relaxed ambience, which is a real shame. When the bill is north of 300.00 for two people we kind of expect a reasonably quiet and relaxing atmosphere to match the quality food and service. David, our waiter was outstanding.
First time dining here. Superb - start to finish. We will definitely dine at Perry’s again. Is everything I heard and more.
It’s loud in the dining area.
I used the open table web site and selected a reservation for 3. When we were seated at a large round table set for 6, the waitress quickly found a smaller more intimate table for the 3 of us. The place was as described previously, loud, energetic, and full. Piano playing was good. Everyone's steak was done to perfection and the creamed corn was great. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I don't know if the manager went to every table, but he came to ours and asked about our evening, genuinely interested. He told us our desserts were on the house. Our service was great, our food was great, the evening was fun, I'm just not used to spending $100+ a head for a meal. It was a lovely evening though. This was our first time at Perry's.
Very noisy with everyone in a single room. Food was great, as always.
Perry's lunch chop is phenomenal. Nursing with flavor. Our server Matt was outstanding.
We have enjoyed Perry's for many years & appreciate having a location in our neighborhood. The food is always good. On this evening our table enjoyed the famous pork chop, ribeye steak, the Symphony Kabob (grilled steak, shrimp & lobster!) & the Snapper as well as creamed spinach & au gratin potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their dinner & we took home a healthy amount of leftovers (the pork chop is incredible with so much deliciousness that it is difficult to finish in one sitting!). The service is always good-our waitress was patient with our incessant visiting with an "old" friend + his goofy sense of humor. They are still undergoing renovations from Hurricane Harvey damage so the "ambience" isn't stellar but they're doing a good job of getting the work done while still being open for business. The food & service are always worth a visit!
We went for my wife's birthday, started sitting at the bar for cocktails which were very good. Barman was extremely friendly and the drinks made to perfection. After a few drinks we were seated at our table in the main restaurant. Food as usual was very good, service excellent and a nice touch the Barman came through to our table an sprinkled rose petals on the table for my wife's Birthday.
Was completely impressed with our reservations - the table was already set up, and the service was outstanding, with knowledgeable and professional waitstaff. Needless to say, the food was fantastic !!! All in all, it was a memorable and unforgettable experience, and we loved it.
As always at Perry's, friendly and knowledgable staff and superb quality food, beautifully cooked and presented. Never a bad experience here and we've been many times!
Food was, once again, top quality. Service was attentive.
Nice place and generally a good choice. However, not on Easter. Poor service and ok food this visit. Typically amazing - not this time.
we came to Perry's expecting the best and were not disappointed. We had their special of the day, the pork chop. Worth every penny and then some. I can't wait to go back there again soon.
Enjoyed a wonderful Easter Celebration Dinner. Outstanding Salmon and the "tower" was spectacular
We had a lovey Easter lunch.
Family Easter celebration
Great service excellent food great ambiance. Did tend to get a little too noisy and make it hard to hear everyone at the table
Asked for a quiet table. Was given a table in a small room that was PERFECT for our needs. One in our party wears a hearing aid. Very friendly and attentive waitress. Ordered calamari, fried asparagus for appetizers. Ordered Filets, creamed corn, whipped potatoes, and cauliflower/mushroom risotto and french onion soup. Everything was delicious. No complaints. It was birthday night for 4 of us and we had fabulous desserts!
The Red Snapper was amazing! Overall a nice restaurant
I celebrated my birthday with a party of 14 guest, couples. The waitress was spectacular, she was very prompt , pleasant and knowledgeable of food selections. The manager came over to greet us and he was very kind spirited. Some of my guest were not satisfied with their food but for the most part the majority was satisfied overall.
Perrys never disappoints.....great food, great service.
I wish I could remember our servers name but she was excellent. She was ver patient, friendly and professional. She made us feel comfortable for our group of 7 business lunch.
It was my first time to dine her and it was great. I will definitely be returning. I love Surf and turf pasta and escargot
Great time. Food was excellent. Waiter was courteous. Only thing was a loud conversation going next to us.
Food was very good as usual. Dining area was a little noisy but restaurant was full and it was a Friday. The service was ok but I have had better at Perry’s. Would still go back as Perry’s food never disappoints
This was our first time back since the remodel from Harvey. I felt that it is no longer a romantic place for couples...it felt more like a place for business meetings and happy hour. I used to love the little private room in the middle that was surrounded by wine bottles, it’s no longer there. The lightning was very bright until about 7pm and then they were dimmed.
As for food, I had ordered the surf and turf special, a filet with bacon wrapped scallops and a crab leg. The steak had zero flavor. I did request extra steak butter and it did help the taste. My husband’s pork chop was amazing. We had also ordered a side of the potatoes au gratin, not sure if the wrong cheese was used, but it was very rubbery and not appetizing at all. As for dessert, we had bananas foster, was amazing as usual.
Our server was great!
If you ever tell me you got a bad meal at Perry’s I would never believe you. The food is always fantastic.
We ordered the gigantic and classic Perry’s smoked pork chop. We both have good appetites but even though we shared one chop, after both enjoying a fine meal from it, we were still left with a “to go” portion large enough that we shared the next day for lunch! Damn I wish I had that recipe.
Our waitress (that’s right I said waitress )was a top notch professional and certainly was very polite and respectful to us both.
We usually don’t eat desserts but by gosh it was my birthday so I chose the bread pudding. Don’t let the name fool you. This is one of the most delicious sweets that I have ever had.
Overall, I would not change one thing.
