Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Champions Ratings and Reviews
The food, as usual, was excellent and the service was very good. Since the remodeling , the new lighting fixtures were extremely bight until there were some complaints and they were dimmed which improved the atmosphere.
We have dined at Perry's often for special occasions, however, we have noted in the recent past that what at one time was an elegant dining experience, has become much too casual. Customers arrive in torn jeans, cutoffs and flip-flops; it was more like dining in a McDonald's or a Jack in the Box. Two men were wearing hats and a cap during their dinner. With the exception of the fine food, Perry's is no longer a special place for special occasions.
Six months ago I celebrated my birthday at Perry’s and I had conveyed that I had a negative experience regarding the special request for the booth.
Dexter, the manager, had called the next day after reading my review and he smoothed over the misunderstanding. He surprised and offered me at my next visit to Perry’s a beautiful bottle of Perry’s wine and appetizer as a way of making the negative experience a positive one.
I made reservations on Saturday to celebrate my girlfriend‘s birthday. I called up Dexter Saturday afternoon to take him up on his generous offer from six months ago.
Not only only did he honor it, he made my girlfriend’s birthday dinner extraordinary! He had a outstanding bottle of Perry’s Chardonnay at our table and three incredible, lip smacking chef appetizers!
We ordered the pecan – crusted Gulf red snapper and the most savory and delicious brussel sprouts.
Our waitress was attentive, sweet and she took care of us had an elevated level!
The atmosphere was wonderful. I am so glad that Perry’s made a quick recovery after hurricane Harvey.
Again, gracious thanks to Dexter for making my girlfriend’s birthday memorable! Thank you so much for caring about your patrons! I sincerely appreciate everything!
I have had better dining experiences in the past at this restaurant. Perry's lunch pork chop is a favorite however, on this occasion my pork chop was very fatty. Usually my service is outstanding but just ok on this visit. Main server voiced complaints about previous diners - unsolicited comments that made for nervous diners. Even my guests were "apprehensive" to ask for anything. I won't give up on this restaurant just yet.
Wonderful food and service as usual! Dexter and his staff are friendly and attentive. It was our daughter’s 21st birthday and she told us it was her best birthday dinner yet! The filet mignon and pork chop are the best in town! Thank you for always making our special occasions memorable and delicious!
Very disappointed tonight. I use Perry’s for business dinners on a regular basis and I decided to take relatives there for Christmas Eve dinner. After making reservations weeks ago, we were seated in an overflow room with folding chairs and flimsy tables. We were an afterthought to the servers given our location in the restaurant. The food didn’t come out all together, and several of my guests had to wait for the remaining food to arrive and eat cold food. Finally got the bill to find that the servers had confused the bill with another table and my card was charged for their meal. After 15-20 minutes of waiting for them to figure out how to credit my card, I texted valet to bring my car to the door, the app tells me that valet is too busy to respond. So we stand in the cold for 10 minutes waiting for them to pull the car around. It wasn’t all bad...we needed the time to get feeling back in our legs from the folding chairs.
I will need to find another restaurant to use for special occasions. I was embarrassed in front of my extended family. I will never be put in a situation like that with a client.
$500 wasted. Food was great, service and ambiance were the worst.
Perry's, you came close on this one. Waiter excellent, but two or three things were little off. Crab cakes, really good. Salads, real good. Drinks, very good, but a dirty martini should have one of those stuffed olives right? or any olive? And a Manhattan comes with a cherry or two in it right?Little long between courses that night. Crowded so maybe why. In a high end restaurant, if I order a lobster tail side I expect clarified butter, not a foamy butter deal I can do at home. Little stuff. Steak was very good and cooked right and dessert was very good. Overall very good.....get a couple of little things correct and we are there. Will be back though
Food was excellent if not a little overpriced, but our server was one of the worst I have ever had there. He was not taking care of us at all and we had to hold up our ice tea glasses just to get someone to take care of us. We of course tip our guy generously but he really didn't deserve any tip..
It was a quite dinner for my husband and I. He just returned from being out of the country and wanted a quiet evening of just the two of us.
This was our first time here and everything was just right. Only thing our waiter was not very attentive as the other waiters .
Waitress was nice but had way to many tables. We had to get our dessert out 3x’s due to it being cold. We were there for 2 hours for lunch one of our guest had to leave. I asked her for a hot towel after eating ribs on pork chop 2x’s never received. Just gave up! Disaster!!!
