Noise level was absolutely horrible and had to get waiter to repeat things 2-3 times. Could not have a conversation with our guests. Waiter was new, I think.

The waiter took a while to first get to the table. He took our drink orders and then our food. The food arrived before our drinks and bread arrived at the table. That is not what I expect of a restaurant like Perry's at which I eat frequently. It was clearly an incompetent waiter.

We eat here frequently on "Pork Chop Friday." This was the worse experience we have ever had. Meat was dried and hard to cut, noise was very loud, had to wait even though we had a reservation. On the bright side, our waitress was excellent and did a good job (probably in spite of having too many tables to wait on). Was very disappointed my favorite dessert -- the deconstructed lemon pie -- had been taken off the menu. I ordered a chocolate and nut ice cream dessert which was very dry and did not at all fit the description. Guess this will help me in the future as we will go back I am sure. I can save both money and calories! In other words -- step up your act at Perry's and make it as good as it formerly was. Maxine Nelson

We believe some of the dishes on the menu are a bit pricey for what you get and also noticed the food pairings aren't as complimentary as they should be to the main entree.
Examples are, the Ahi Tuna my wife had, the Tuna was very good but inner opinion the slaw and tomatoes relish did nothing to compliment the Tuna, they need to rethink this.
Likewise my dish and one our guests ordered the Ultimate Chicken Parmesan was paired with a shell type pasta, which only got some flavor with the broccoli type vegetable, and this pasta did not pair at all with the chicken parmesan. The size of the chicken parmesan was small and pricey, not much bang for the buck at $32, good flavor but in no way was this the "Ultimate Chicken Parmesan" I have ever had, actually not even close, but it was good. You need to rethink the pasta pairing or a similar sauce that's on the chicken on the pasta as well.
We very much enjoyed the spinach salad, bread, desserts, the Perry Reserve wine, all on the main entree dishes were very good though, and everything had a nice presentation. Our waiter was very good.

Excellent food and service, the Chateaubriand was amazing, as were the sauces! I might suggest the server to table ratio was a bit high for the level of fine dining they present...but it was nice not to be rushed out the door! We will be back ☺️

Everything was great for being Valentine's weekend and having a full house. Was seated within a minute of checking in for my reservation, food was cooked perfectly to our liking.

The food and service was excellent but we got seated at the wall with a bench seat shared with other tables, so one of us had to stare at a wall. The food is very expensive. We would dine there again but for our budget it would only be for a special occasion. Honestly steaks cooked at home are every bit as tasty; so paying $155 for a meal including 2 glasses of wine, which were conservative choices on the menu made us feel like suckers. Obviously to eat there is to make an impression to go somewhere 'fancy'.

Everything was delicious! We shared the field greens salad with pears and candies pecans, followed bt the Symphony Kabob for me and Pork Chip for my husband. We also shred Potatoes au Gratin. We also received a complementary desser trio since we were celebrating our anniversary. The food was all perfectly cooked, beautifully served, and our waiter was great at his job.

My husband and I chose to come here to celebrate our Valentine's dinner per the outpour of positive reviews. However, our experience was just the opposite. My husband was served his steak first, which was obviously the first red flag. I felt disrespected, but I let it slide. As we began to eat, my Chicken Parmesan was extremely rubbery and my whipped potatoes had an aged milk flavor. Horrible!!!!! The last hope I had was the macaroni my husband offered me. I took one bite and was disgusted. It was extremely salty that neither one of us could enjoy it. Our server was extremely sweet so I didn't feel it was necessary to complain about the experience so when she asked if we needed boxes I kindly denied. We truly saved the best for last! I love Creme Brûlée and theirs was phenomenal! This was our first and last time dining here.

Most places would have been chaos given the same circumstances (backup of reservations). The staff at Perry's made it feel as if everything was under control. All guests were treated as if they were the restaurant's highest priority and the quality of the food was perfect! Thank you for the great experience!

We had reservations @9:15 we weren’t seated till 10:45 pm, people that walked in an hour after us were sat Immediately, when we were seated our drinks were late, never received our meals because it was after 11:30 pm and we got up and left. Our Valentine’s Day was ruined. We ended up just going home. Terrible experience.

Had a reservation for 8:45 was told that it would be 30-40 min wait. The couple behind said they had a 7:30 reservation and were still waiting. It wasn’t until 10:00 that I got a message saying my table was ready.

I was very disappointed with the whole reservation thing. I’m wondering how someone who had reservations at 8:45 get seated at 8:34 over us who had reservations at 8:00. I guess it must have been the color of our skins. I’ve been going to Perry’s for the last 7 years with my husband and this is the first time I felt like this. The greed must have kicked in on this one evening that was suppose to be memorable for us. Thanks for ruining it.

Valentine's dinner - not as expected! We love this place and it was one of our favorites restaurants in Houston. Usually, there is no wait when we go on Sundays, but considering it was a special night that it is expected more people than often, I made a reservation well in advance to ensure we will arrive and be sited. Our surprise, even having a reservation, the waiting time was not 5-10 minutes... it was 45 minutes!!! Ok... we decided to stay as we like the place... We waited for 45 minutes, I asked the lady at the front desk if it will take longer and she repeated the same sentence giving us another 45 minutes wait!!!... Knowing that we should have gone to a different place... but at that point, we decided to stay hoping it will not be 45 minutes (we were 19th in the queue to be sited). We did not wait 45 minutes, but 35 ( the extra 10 at the table). Once the waiter came everything went ok.
We believe the restaurant overbooked and miscalculated the number of people for the night. We understand a few minutes wait (having a reservation) it's acceptable, but 1:20 hours??? My family loves this place, but we need to voice our disappointment with Perry's. Such disorganization and misinformation to the customer is not to the level of this place.

I would recommend not going on a holiday due to the fact of overbooking and mis managing going on. The steak was excellent but the pork chop tasted like a thanksgiving ham. The dedicated menu was ridiculous so will be going back when it is not a holiday or special event.

February 14, 2020 was my birthday. After making reservation, was'nt expecting to have such a long wait time for table to be ready. Food was good, even the service was good. Understand that a night like that(Valentine) Perry's is no different that all the other food places, want to make money. But specifically picked Perry's to celebrate an important day for me, but just didn't happen!

My husband and I recently attended Perry’s for Valentines day. Knowing it is a busy holiday I made reservations to ease our dinner seating. Upon arrival we were told there was a “slight” delay and would be a moment before we sat, which was not a problem. We waiting at the bar for maybe about half an hour and continued to wait. After about 45 min we then went to ask how much longer it would be til it was our turn. They stated 10-15 more min. so we continued to wait. About 20min later we see a couple get off of their vehicle and see them get sat upon arrival we then asked again about our wait and was told 5 more min. Finally we were so fed up with waiting that we asked the host if we were going to get sat and immediately got sat. This was very infuriating to see some get sat immediately when our 7:30 reservation had been prolong til 8:30. Thank goodness the food was amazing and our waiter was awesome otherwise this would be a whole other review.

Usually good but Valentine’s Day was an unorganized mess. I understand that it was abnormally busy but I expected a restaurant of this caliber to plan accordingly. Food quality was no better than your local Chili’s which added to the pain after waiting 45min past our reservation. Disappointed!
