Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Baybrook Ratings and Reviews
They over booked badly...added extra tables such that the waiters couldn't move around or handle it properly, you felt like a sardine. The result was very unprofessional service. This was our 56th wedding anniversary. You want an anniversary to be special. They had our reservation screwed up right from the beginning. The manager came over and tried to cover up rather than listen. He didn't charge us but that wasn't what I expected nor what I wanted. Last year it was outstanding. You asked us to give you another chance is why we went last year. Last year was why we went back this year, like I said excellent. I have now been three times, the previous was the old location and had the same problem there. So two out of three have been extremely bad.
The table we got was at the bar area and they didn’t give us one at the main dining room despite our request. I’ve got the feeling we’ve got such a bad table because we made the reservation using open table. I was asked if I had made the reservation on line or by phone. We couldn’t have the conversation we had expected at a business meeting. Food was amazing as usual but definitely got the worst table in the house
The excellence in food and service never lets me down. My family and friends from other states ask to go to Perry's when they are in Houston. The best salmon that I have ever eaten is at Perry's as well as the steaks. I've eaten all over the world and Perry's is the best.
We have dined at Perry’s in the Clear Lake area for many years, and tonight was the worst experience we have ever had. The food was good, but we felt like we were pushed in a corner and ignored. The service was frankly bad. To be fair to our server, it seemed that he just had too many tables and couldn’t do justice to any of them. Maybe it was just a problem on a Tuesday night before a holiday, but my wife and I were very disappointed and will not return. I expect to beg for everything at a fast food spot, but not at a place like Perry’s.
It was ok, the waitress wasn't very friendly even after I told her about the fly landing on our bread.
Had to cover our brussel spouts with a plate so the fly would not continue to land on food. The waitress just took the bread and didn't bring anymore for us, understand you can't control a fly but a different response would have been appreciated. Had to ask her two more times to bring some more bread to our table
Perry's on Bay Area used to be very perfect for special occasions and business lunches, with hushed tones of luxury befitting the cost of the fare. But the new flagship at revamped BayBrook is not the same restaurant. There are nice interior touches, but it's a completely different feel - boisterous and energetic, where you've got to speak loudly to be heard by others at your table. Waitstaff are pleasant and still pay attention to your needs, but the food didn't seem as special as it did in their old location. No one in our party had memorable food, but we had largely seafood dishes - perhaps this would be better were you to try their signature meat dishes such as pork chops.
So if your party is going for a steak or pork chops and is energetic, I'd say you have a good chance of enjoying your experience. However, if you are trying to celebrate an intimate anniversary, as we were, I'd look elsewhere.
Perry's had great food, but for the 6oz steak i felt it was VERY over priced. Also the steak came with no sides. Which was not at all what i expected, so $50 for just 6oz of steak and another $15 for one side that only myself would eat and then my husband had to order a different family sized side, because they only serve family sized sides apperently. It just was not something i would recommend unless you go with a group and deside to split all the food and a $1000 bill.
I very much appreciate Perry's honoring veterans with a free meal! The food and ambiance were outstanding as you would expect from Perry's. The thing that distracted from an otherwise great evening was the lack of knowledge by the waitstaff. Our server was obviously not aware of the Veterans special. She had to ask the manager what the requirements were for the complimentary meal. We were not served bread with the meal, even after asking for it and being told it was on the way. When we received the bill, we were charged for a salad that was included with the meal. And, we only received one dessert although we should have each gotten one with our meals. Again, a great gesture to recognize Veterans but please ensure the waitstaff is aware of what is included in the meal and they don't distract from an otherwise nice evening!
The food was good as usual, but we had a blah waiter. He acted like he didn't want to be there. He never removed our plates, never offered crushed pepper, never brushed our crumbs or cleaned our table. He was polite enough, but a total bust as far as it being a special evening at a special restaurant. Definitely not up to par or expectations for Perry's!
We booked a reservation for 6 via Open table & were seated in the bar distracted by television. Immediately when they brought us to the table we objected. We were told there was no other seating available. It was not the environment we were hoping for to celebrate two birthdays 😞
I took my husband out to celebrate Veteran's Day and he was warmly greeted and thanked for his service. The staff did a great job of making him feel welcome and appreciated. He ordered the ribeye and it just melted in his mouth. I didn't want something quite as heavy so I ordered the Field Green, Pear & Candied Pecan Salad with a grilled chicken breast; it really hit the spot.. It was absolutely delicious paired with a glass of Moscato! We'll definitely be returning to this location again!!
It was our first anniversary dinner. The waiter was awesome however one of his helpers dropped the tray of food on the way to our table. My wife’s order hit the floor. It took the wait staff three times to get all of her order to our table. There was one plate. The ambience was great and our waiter was good. Our visit could have been better.
We ordered carpaccio as a starter. It was good, but I would have preferred dark vinegar instead of white on the meat. The portion was at least for two. Then we choosed steak. The meat was really good. The gratin and the spinach were good but not outstanding. Too much cream on the spinach. The dessert should have been warm, was nearly cold. The service was not to bad, but when we order the red vine to get it with the entree, it should be there then. For the cocktail we had to ask, because it was forgotten. The waiter was not very attentive, brought the check before we were finished etc.
