Easter lunch with family
Nothing compares to Perry’s Pork Chop Lunch on Fridays. I am definitely a fan! While the food was great, the service was sub-par. Our waitress seemed occupied and was not attentive. There were several times when we had to wait for her to come to our table. As someone who frequents Perry’s at multiple locations, this is not what I am used to. This visit left a bad taste in my mouth.
Very good food and service. Kids around us were too loud.
Fantastic service and food was great.
The food at Perry’s is always fantastic, and that is the only good thing I can say about my $250.00 meal. My children had better manners and appreciation for us being there than the waiter. From the time we sat down to the time my wife and I received our food, we were there an HOUR before our medium rare steaks arrived. My children received their food first and my wife and I were picking from their plates for 30 minutes because we were just sitting there hungry. How is this possible??? Our waiter was moving tables and chairs in another room and serving everyone else but us... I swear he forgot we were his table. I flagged down someone else, and they radioed for help... food was there instantly. But the wine I asked for with our meal... wasn’t. Luckily the heat lamp the steaks obviously had to sit under didn’t ruin our steaks, and the wine got there after a reminder. They offered free dessert for waiting, which is fine, and was good... but what I would’ve liked was a reason to return for future special outings, and dessert isn’t it.
There was nothing special about this dining experience, which is what this caliber restaurant should always be... a special dining experience.
We were celebrating our Anniversary that day. We arrived a little early but we were seated promptly. Rose petals were scattered on the table. Dennis was our server and made our visit quite wonderful, checking on us without being a nuisance. Our dinner ended with a complimentary dessert trio. It was a special day with extra special service.....Thank you Perry’s.
Fantastic food and service! One of my favorites!
Was very upset that they didnt put us in private dining that I asked for (room with 4 tables and a door) nor did they do the request I put in my reservation about my girlfriend's birthday to sing to her. Dessert was not offered after mentioning her birthday at the start of the meal, I had to ask about it. The money I spent for the service I received was not worth it!
I really enjoyed dinner. Food was fabulous. The whole staff was so nice and made us feel so welcome.
We went for our anniversary and our server was so nice and willing to answer any questions we had. Business casual type of place. Setting is dim lighting but very nice and romantic. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend eating there.
Outstanding quality of food, service, ambience, and value. Perfectly medium-rare filet mignon every time I have ordered it. One of my favorite all-time steak restaurants locally, domestically, or abroad!
our server Zack was very attentive and took care of our needs.
Had a wonderful experience with my family to celebrate my wife's Birthday! Definitely, will return and recommend you guys to my friends and family!
The food and service was very good. A little on the expensive side but it was worth it.
We have eaten at Perry's for years. Always a great experience. Unfortunately our most recent outing, while still acceptable, was below previous experiences.
We were seated in a small dining area off the main floor and on multiple occasions, bus boys stood next to our table looking out on the main dining area. A small thing, but irritating.
The food was very good. The wait staff was very good as well.
Some would say the dining area was "electric". To us it was just very loud. Not the romantic anniversary celebration we had envisioned.
In summary, we'd recommend it them, but we'd like to see a return to a more professional overall management.
The service was excellent they made our special day amazing
We made a reservation online. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was exceptional and very attentive.
We enjoyed the excellent food and ambiance of this new location. We will definitely return.
Service was top notch. Steaks may be the best in town. Asparagus was a little tough on the large portions, but this is often expected. Deserts were absolutely fabulous. With Perry's being one of the best restaurants in the Clear Lake area the prices match. Can not afford to go the Perry's often, but great pick for special occasions.
Saudi was very personable and great all around. It made for a wonderful birthday dinner for the whole family. Food was on point as I expected it to be.
My steak was delicious and tender
Couldn't eat it all. Reheated the next day and it was still tasty and tender.
One of my drinks had trash floating in the bottom, the bone in ribeye was not cut correct, drink prices are to high, not enough bar staff nor do they pay attention to the guests enough and my waiter at the table was excellent
What a wonderful experience.. Top notch! Our waiter Sal was amazing.. Great recommendation on the wine and dinner.. This place is doing it right!
amazing wait staff, some great menu options, good ambiance but VERY loud music (on number of occasions already). usually we're not very picky about our food, but creamy spinach was not creamy enough - rather quite dry and both me and my wife had just half spoon each and never touched it again. fish and steak were on point, but Guajillo sauce was a little to spicy for me. desserts and drinks are good enough to make a separate trip to open bar area on some other day
This was for our 7 year anniversary, the food, and our waiter Zach were phenomenal! Could not have been a better experience! Perry’s will be our new anniversary dinner tradition!
Our table was ready in time and our waiter, Bill, was great and very informative of the menu. Shortly after we arrived a party of 4 was seated next to us (too close) and they were very loud. It destroyed the quiet atmosphere and made it more difficult to enjoy our evening out.
The food was fantastic and the service was also. It was our first time there and can't wait to go back. The pork chop is so moist and tender.
Service was top notch courteous
Accommodated our seating request
Little pricey on ‘the basic sides/apps’ but you go there for the entre which was perfect for each of us
Perry’s was really off on their service this night. We had a 6 o’clock reservation and it took a while for them to seat us so we sat at the bar and no one ever even ask if they could get our drink order. They came to seat us and it took at least another 30 minutes for the waiter to take our drink orders. I had made a reservation for a special occasion birthday for six people and our seating was in the back by the kitchen where they laid out all of the food before serving tables and we were constantly being bumped by waiters and trays of other people’s food and the noise level was incredibly high.Even though we had indicated it was a birthday they made no attempt to offer a birthday dessert to the birthday person which I thought was unusual because they had always done that in our past visits. Upon receiving our bill we realized that we had been charge for two bottles of the $80 Chardonnay, Cakebread, which we would have never ordered and I believe the waiter took advantage of two of the younger girls at our table and gave them a very expensive wine.
Perry’s has always been a favorite of my family since the time that they opened the butcher shop, but I now believe they have gotten a little too commercialized and are attempting to pay their high rent at the mall at the expense of their customers.
Great location, it was the first night celebrating my wife's birthday. Waiter was very attentive so much so the kids made sure I left a good tip. All of the food was amazing
Great food. The Double Pork chop and wedge salads were delicious
Awesome food and service. Joseph was our waiter and he provided us with exemplary service.
We had a reservation and they sat us right away. The food was great. Didn't like the girl hovering around looking for tables to open so they could turn the table over, she seemed to be hovering in our area the whole time. Also not crazy about the open dining concept, would like a little more privacy. We liked the food and the service.
Unfortunately, this visit to Perry's was our worst experience at an upscale restaurant such as this. We have been to this Perry's location (Baybrook) more than 6 or 7 times, and have always enjoyed our experience. We scheduled this visit to celebrate my wife's birthday, and provided this information in our reservation. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated in the area we requested. Shortly after being seated, we were asked by our waitress if we were celebrating a special occasion to which we responded with what was included in our reservation ("yes, we are celebrating my wife's birthday"). Sometime after placing and receiving our drink and appetizer order, we asked for some bread. Normally, this is served without asking. After ordering our main course, our steaks and sides were delivered in a very timely manner. Unfortunately, after cutting into my filet I noticed it was undercooked from what I had requested. My filet was returned to me a short time later, but now after cutting into it I saw that it was overcooked but I went ahead and accepted it since I was very hungry at this point. Bottom line: my steak was fine, but not great. The sides (au gratin potatoes and brussel sprouts), appetizer (crab cakes), and dessert were great as usual. We actually left though wondering why they would not provide something special/complementary for my wife's birthday. Normally at other upscale restaurants we have visited in the past such as Pappas Steakhouse in Houston, they provide a great experience beyond the norm for special occasions.
Over priced & extremely small portions is what we received. The only thing I care did were my drinks. It sucks that Perry’s is where I decided to celebrate my birthday. Neither myself or my guest were satisfied with the outcome of our dinner. I would have done better going next door to The Rouxpour.
Server was inept. Food was terrible. Manager grabbed me by the arm as I was looking for my spouse and accused me of skipping out on the bill. Will NEVER return!
The food was delicious. We both had filets. They were prepared exactly as we asked.
The service was very good as we normally experience.
Food was super
The "help" that brought the food to the table had no idea of who got what
The food as always was top notch. Unfortunately our server was new and I believe a bit overwhelmed
We did mention it to the host and he did try and help out.
I hope the young man progresses, as I’m sir he could become a first rate waiter.
Food was on point but service was not up to par from the first visit. Waitress didn’t seem to know the menu when asked about 3 different items and even had to look at menu to see what we was asking. Had to ask for bread and butter long after our appetizers had been brought and finished.
The pork chops that we all ordered looked like they had been butchered and tore instead of carved and neither one of the guys cutting asked if we had been there before or explained the cuts. With our first visit to guy was very knowledgeable and asked if we had been before and explained how the pork chop was prepared and how we should eat each section of the carved pork chop from start to finish.
Dessert was great we each had something different and loved the presentation of the Banana Fosters.
The piano was so loud we could barely hear each other talking and at one point the manager in training asked her to turn it down. The loud piano basically covered up her singing and really never got to hear her voice.
All I can say is that our first visit was so great we decided to go back, but after our second I’m not sure we will make it again.
