Jean-Georges’ son, Cedric Vongerichten, helms the kitchen, creating dishes that reflect his own keen instinct for balancing flavor and texture with an exquisite blend of French, American, and Asian influences and ingredients. The menu is inspired by the season, centering on the local market at Union Square.

We each had the tasting menu. Dishes were all well prepared, presented and flavorful. Attentive and friendly service without being intrusive.
Want a very appealing atmosphere, terrific food, solid service and the ability to actually hear your guests’ conversation? Look no further.
The service was a little bit show. The salmon dish was over salted.
We went for brunch and it was excellent. The food was amazing and the service perfect.
Great lunch menu. Also on weekends. Steak tartare is exceptional
Our favorite restaurant
Wonderful birthday celebration! It’s not our first time there either-we love it ! Food and service were A-1
Always a nice night at this restaurant. The ambience is modern but not off putting. Great vibe and food is always top notch.
The lighting was bleak and the room was stuffy. However our waiter Henry was nice and accommodating. We had the lunch Prix Fixe, and we liked the food less and less with each course. We both got the fried calamari to start off and we loved it. The calamari was well fried, tender and the mayo dressing was airy and light. I had the Perry Street Fried Chicken next and my girlfriend got the Yellow Tuna Burger. We were both not impressed by the food. The signature fried chicken was cooked inconsistently one side of the chicken was really dry and it was like chewing cardboard. The patty was a minced tuna cooked to rare. It reminded us of Jean-George's tuna tartare but just put on a pan. It was quite underwhelming. Knowing that Perry Street is part of the Jean-George's restaurant collection and we wanted to end on a pleasant note, so we got signature chocolate cake. The ice cream was a full scoop and more generous portion than the one offered at Nougatine, but the chocolate cake was a big let down. The Perry St version was too sweet and more bitter. Overall, we would not go again for the food was mediocre and the price was not inline with the quality. Perry St is just like a worse version of Nougatine but same price and less accessible.
I love this restaurant for its quiet elegance, superb service and great acoustics. The food is also beautifully presented, but the last two times I have been there, everything I ordered had some form of hot pepper in it or accompanying it. The squash soup was dramatically served, with a round of soft cheese and herbs in the bowl and a roiling beaker of soup poured into it. I was unaware that there was a strong component of chili pepper in it and, after waiting for it to cool, I took a sip only to find the back of my throat on fire. I started to choke and downed a tumbler of water. The waiter quickly removed the soup and replaced it with a delicious pear salad which the kitchen was told to leave the spice out of. The main chicken dish was delivered without its sauce since it was also spicy. However sauceless meant it was somewhat dry. But again, a beautiful presentation, looking much like a Christmas wreath.
The grandest food,staff, presentation..
A wonderful New Year’s Eve spent enjoying a wonderful tasting menu, and fantastic music and fun leading to and post Countdown!
Terrific food, ambience and service; would return in a heartbeat
We went there for our 40th wedding anniversary (didn’t mention). We enjoyed the ambiance and food, even though sophisticated for our budget. We loved the experience, and made us want to try other restaurants if equal caliber.
Elegant and enjoyable. Staff a bit disorganized. One server poured tap water into my glass of sparkling water because he didn’t communicate with the waiter.
This has to be one of the best higher-end restaurants in the West Village area. While this is very much a special occasion kind of place, the food is incredibly creative and flavorful. The staff is absolutely attentive at all times and always there whenever you need them. The duck was exceptional as was the grilled octopus appetizer. Their bartender is classic style as he shook up our cocktails.
Great soup. Waffles weren't great considering the price.
Perry Street has a very good chef. Unfortunately the service undermines the chef 's talents. The staff is inattentive; the hostesses are either supercilious or clueless. It contrasts so sharply with the uptown
Jean-Georges that it is hard to believe that the two restaurants are related.
While I was extremely grateful for Perry St being open on Christmas Day, the whole meal was just a letdown. We chose this restaurant because the online menu had Pavlova and Lamb. When we got to the restaurant, it was explained to us "we have not had pavlova on the menu in months". Well it was on the Christmas 2018 menu online! Our server then had to confess they were out of lamb. Further, the Tart Tartin on the dessert menu was now an apple cake! If these were updated in the menu online, we simply would not have come. The bartender forgot our cocktails at the beginning of the meal, the vintage of wine we ordered was different from the menu and the waiter spilled our wine in a strange decision to suddenly not fill my glass at the last second. The only bright spot was the squash soup which was absolutely fantastic. For $120 pp before wine, we were extremely disappointed.
UNFORTUNATELY THE BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP WAS EXTREMELY SPICY-THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED ON THE MENU.
I FOOLISHLY ATE ALL OF IT-A FAVORITE DISH OF MINE- AND PAID WITH HEARTBURN.
THE VERY APOLOGETIC STAFF GAVE ME A GLASS OF MILK AND WE RECEIVED A FREE DESSERT.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE SPICINESS OF THE DISH WAS NOT INDICATED ON THE MENU.
PROFUSE APOLOGIES OFFERED.WE MAY OR MAY NOT RETURN.THERE IS A LOT OF COMPETITION
FOR THE FINE DINING DOLLAR SO THE CHEF AT PERRY STREET NEEDS TO AT LEAST AMEND HIS MENU!
Excellent service however the cuisine could be better as per as French standards
Very pretentious place and staff have a very poor attitude, totally underwhelmed by the food and we certainly won’t be returning. Staff fuss too much over filling your glass with water and felt very intrusive.
We went for Christmas Eve dinner and it truly was one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in New York. The tasting menu was absolutely outstanding, and service first rate.
Duck was undercooked. Did not give us a birthday candle/"happy birthday" with our dessert despite stating that we were celebrating birthday. For the price point/restaurant's chef reputation, we would expect better attention to details....
Loved every moment and every bite, highly recommend this place.
Best restaurant in the West Village!!
Celebration of 4 Awards and 13 nomination between two former producing partners.
Excellent food and amazing service. Had office holiday dinner there, the staff was very attentive and paid attention to every detail. Appetizers were the highlight, entrees were also good. Decent amount of vegetarian appetizers. Wine menu had good options and everyone had a great experience. Kudos to the chefs and the staff.
Great restaurant...but I was a little surprised that when we entered the near empty restaurant, we were placed at a table ALL the way in the back, near the bathrooms. Not sure why they placed us there. I love good food and am a big tipper for good service....my only complaint with this evening is that I was placed in "Siberia"....that was not right.
We come here because it’s a fantastic customer service experience with incredible inspired food and amazing cocktails.
Our servers Matt and Zach were lovely
Birthday dinner for wife and 2 guests. We had a great time.. you could actually here your conversation at the table on a Sat nite at 8:00. Food was very good and just had an overall pleasant experience.. would go back!!!
The food at Perry Street is consistently outstanding. We started with butternut squash soup, which was rich and creamy, and moved on to roast lamb chops and beef tenderloin, both of which were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I am looking forward to my next meal at Perry Street.
Good ambiance, food. They were able to accommodate some painful dietary restrictions with only minor issues - better than most restaurants. Would definitely go back again. The wines by the glass selection was a bit mediocre on the reds, but they do have a corkage, so I guess that makes up for it.
The vibe is a mix of upscale and a pricey neighborhood restaurant; while that seems a bit weird it works and makes for fun people watching.
SECOND TIME EATING HERE. I WAITED 25 MINUTES FOR MY TABLE EVEN WITH A RESERVATION. REALLY EMBARRASSING FIRST DATE. GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS, THOUGH. LOVE THE BARTENDER. EXPENSIVE. NOT RETURNING UNLESS I'M IN THE AREA AND ONLY PLACE OPEN.
I was underwhelmed by the Dover Sole. Just didn't knock my socks off and for $48 it probably should. The Tuna appetizer dish was very tasty.
Loved it! Can’t wait to come back. Yummy and awesome vibe.
The food was excellent, but the portions did not live up to the high price tag. We found the ambiance to be just okay. It was quiet inside, although the decor and scene wasn't particulary interesting. I probably would not done here again.
We normally enjoy Perry Street, however on the eve of our 21st anniversary we had a few issues. It all started rather well at the bar with some amazing cocktails, however once seated our disappointment began. The tuna starter arrived with an extra ingredient - a piece of hair, which upon mentioning it to the waitress got replaced. The lobster main course was delicious, however it was at the desert time that we got really disappointed as even though we have mentioned my husband's allergy to nuts from the start, we were given a complimentary dessert - poached pear with hazelnuts. The waitress told us upon mentioning that she realized once she put the receipt through, though told my husband that hopefully he has some Benadryl and will be okay.... Not sure this is a level of service/response from a server that merits this type of establishment.
Exceptional service, amazing attention to details. The food outstanding
Always dependable, great meal, great service. Highly recommended.
