It was very good over all.
We ordered the lamb chops and none of what we order came out right; they over cook all of our entrees and a little too salty.
Overall, not too bad, but not a cohesive or memorable experience. Highway dining at its finest, though.
Four epicurians thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Each course was delicious although the portions are a little small if you are hungry.
Our first visit was when the restaurant opened some 10 years ago when we had a great experience. It only got better in every area: food, service and ambience! My only suggestion is, given its exposure to the western sun the windows should be cleaned more regularly.
A gem. The interior is upscale but not at all pretentious, the service top-notch. Wonderful menu options, including a well-priced three course lunch. Quiet and well-suited for business (at least during my visits). It's become a regular on the rotation.
A rare disappointment tonight. Usually five stars but the courses were mediocre this evening. Except for dessert which was great. Drinks were perfect. Service outstanding.
It was a cold and formal, somewhat pretentious place. No warmth at all. Phony.
A beautiful space with delightful ambiance and decor. Creative and delicious food. Staff are friendly and relaxed. Try for a circular booth with water view. Nice for a romantic date or just relaxing with friends.
Food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Sweet pea soup was delicious as was the poached lobster and black bass and carrot cake for dessert. Noise level was perfect and it was easy to have a conversation.
Great meal and service from start to finish.
All around stunning experience - delicious food, fabulous service - beautiful place.
Beautiful atmosphere and outstanding food......
The poached lobster was delicious, as was the Sea Bass. The strawberry burrata was a hit. And the calamari was light and delicious. JG champagne was, as usual, perfect. We all loved the sesame-encrusted asparagus amuse-bouche.
The food was perfectly prepared, as always. The lamb chops were succulent, as was the lobster. Service is attentive and friendly. A wonderful place to eat or entertain guests.
The restaurant has a great design, tables are spaced enough to allow some privacy. Food is great and the service eccellent.
Great spot for a date night.
Went for my birthday. I got a nice chocolate“happy birthday” on my dessert.
Definitely one of the most stylish places I’ve been to in the city. Loved the style of plates, cutlery etc... service was ok/good.
As far as food, you can tell that there is a starred chef’s hand behind the ideas. Very good. Not stellar.
As for the wines: unacceptable lack of Italians reds by the glass.
One of my favorite "go-to" spots. Never disappoints
Excellent service and phenomenal food in a very modern, elegant setting. We went for my mother's birthday and everyone had a great time. One of the most welcome surprises was that the space was very quiet, enabling our large group to have no difficulty speaking across a large table (10ppl)
Our group of 8 had a wonderful lunch at Perry Street. We had the "Taste of Spring" menu for lunch for $38 for 3-courses, which was an excellent value. The food was fantastic - beautifully prepared and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We look forward to returning soon. Also, Tim was a wonderful server.
One of my favorites always surprises me and the food is memorable still dreaming about my dinner two days later....
Wonderful place to dine. Excellent service ... great food but egg was not cooked properly. Just a small nit. Otherwise I would recommend this wonderful, quiet spot for a nice lunch.
We live in the WV and just sort of took Perry St for granted for literally the last 10 years! Finally got around to going and it exceeded expectations. Service was great- by that I mean waiter (10 year employee) knew drink and food menu exceedingly well. The dishes were amazing. Seasonal, fresh and quite unique. Given all the impossible "hype" of other WV restaurants, Perry St. is usually available and you should go...
Sunday, Easter Brunch was packed with people and very noisy. We started off with pea soup, delicious, though my wife thought it was a bit too peppery. I had the lamb chops, which were beautiful, and finished off with the molten chocolate cake, which I love and always get here. My wife had pan-seared black bass with maitake mushroom. The fish was very tender and the mushroom, crispy and delicious.
We arrived for our reservation and waited 15 minutes to sit. After we ordered wine we asked to order dinner. One by one each main course we ordered were sold out. 5 fish dishes out of 6 offered, as well as 3 starters.
This left us with 3 salads. The manager told us “they were very busy and ran out”
This was a business meeting.
We have been here many times and always good. The service this trip was actually bad but any restaurant can have an off night. Our waiter was a very nice kid, just needs either more training or some additional help.
We will try again.
I had dinner with my daughter and her friend who attends the Fashion Institute. The food was wonderful and creative. The service was impeccable and we never felt rushed. I would recommend this restaurant to ever adult I know. Most children would not appreciate the dinning experience.
The only oddity to a wonderful night was what I thought to be an ordinary request turned into a dissertation (on my park) relating to rum. I requested a Bacardi and Coke. I was informed they could not comply with my request because they did not serve Bacardi. I then had to give the server a history of the drink and the fact that the only premium rum that works with a blended drink is Bacardi. He listened intently but of course he couldn't comply. I changed my drink to a gin and tonic. The drink was prepared very well but ....no Bacardi.
food was very good. We went with a party of 12 people and had a wonderful time. We sampled appetizers, entrees, salads and desserts and had nothing but positive things to say about the meal. We all highly recommended.
our server was quite dis-interested, unfriendly, scattered ... her personality clearly not suited for high-priced white linen dining! The busboy & runners were excellent - properly attentive, polite & personable - which made the server (15-20 years older than them) look even worse! Food prep fancy, plate presentation creative - portions small!
Server brought a higher priced wine than we selected - with no explanation - just a popped cork and padded my bill by extra $36... not an endearing move to those of us who pay attention!
Amazing creative food in an elegant atmosphere.
continued excellent food and service. keep up your outstanding work.
Fantastic service and very accommodating!
Lovely and quiet room. Delicious food and excellent service.
This is a treat for a special occasion.... outstanding across the board
Lunch menu is an incredible value. Always something orignal and researched in each dish.
I am a steak tartare aficionado, chef Cedric’s one is amazing
Always our favorite place for both special occasions and a fine a dining experience . Looking forward to going back.
Terrific food staff and ambience
We very much enjoyed our meal at Perry St. the minimalist style and the simple take on food (that wasn’t oversized) was great. We will definitely return again.
Perry St. is a classy great ambiance restaurant in a great location. The service is always great and the food is amazing! The lobster is delicious, but the calamari appetizer is the best calamari I've ever had in my life.. its that good! also the sunchoke appetizer is like a party in your mouth with so many delicate flavors.
Very nice dinner: excellent food and service. Really good black bass with nice preparation. Room not stunning and even the window tables only get a view of West St. All dishes a few dollars overpriced (not terrible). Would go back again but not too often.
Great space. Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food.
Have eaten here before. Food was excellent ( a bit salty this time as compared to prior) and service attentive but the meal was somewhat rushed as opposed to dining.
