This is an oasis on the west side highway , very nice atmosphere and accompanied by very good food , a nice and civilized way to spend an afternoon or evening.
Love this place. Food is amazing - friendly and knowledgable staff and great wine list.
Older crowd, good food . Definitely get the lobster!
Have been coming here for 10 years and it’s just perfect all the time. So happy I have this place to come to next to my home.
Literally the best food I have ever eaten accompanied by the most amazing ambiance. I have never felt more important as a customer in a location that is heaven for your eyes & soul.
This experience was not worthy of Jean Georges at all. The service felt off kilter and the food wasn’t his usual wow at all. We appreciated that they credited the tuna appetizer we didn’t finish (because it wasn’t good at all), I’m not sure we will return, honestly.
We have been coming here for years — one of our favorites, and reliably excellent. The food and drinks are always on point and high quality, but it’s the service that really sets Perry St apart. From Mac behind the bar, to Hilary at the front desk, to David, Henry, Jake, and all the other wonderful staff, this restaurant goes the extra mile to make you feel special.
❤️❤️❤️ Perry Street! It's in my top 10 NYC restaurants. Food is ALWAYS exceptional. We had snapper sashimi, calamari, squash soup, anjou pear for starters and bay scallops, poached lobster and Dover sole as entrees... Perfection each and every one! For dessert, the pudding was AMAZING (first time I've had that and would go for that alone lol); others had chocolate cake (always delish), and pear. First time dining there on a Saturday night and it was much noisier than week nights.
Excellent. Highly recommended. Fried chicken or beef tenderloin are flawless time and time again. One of the the best restaurants in the West Village and one of my favorites in the city.
The absolute best restaurant for the price. We have been to Jean Georges at Central Park West, and the bill was very high. Perry St. is a Jean George Restaurant with the best food and ambience. Dining there is more than dining, it is an experience. And the bill is much less than Jean Georges, Central Park West
Best Salmon I had in New York City in the last 2.5 years. Super delicious appetizers
A special place to celebrate a family member's birthday! Wonderful food and attentive service. The chocolate pudding with candied violets was an especially big hit.
Great service, delicious food!
Excellent food and sincere service. Keep up the great work!
Perry Street Restaurant has excellent service and the food is consistently well-prepared. Our favorites include the sea bass with mushroom, and the avocado/mushroom appetizer. Excellent wine selection, good coffee and desserts. Go early for quieter atmosphere. Not inexpensive, but the staff are very helpful, pleasant and attentive.
This was our first time at Perry St and it was a great experience. The staff, food all were outstanding. I will definitely recommend to our family & friends.
Highly forgettable. Great service, but mediocre flavor as well as presentation. Lose the wall to wall carpeting, too.
The food is adult and beautiful. The portions are, thankfully, human scale. The service is professional and helpful. I love the room, the bar, the flowers and the luxurious spacing of the seating. You can come visit with friends at a leisurely pace and without raising your voice. I always feel I should come back soon.
The meal was good but the service was not. The waitress took my friends scotch by accident and when I informed the waitress she took it by accident she then brought the dirty glass back to the table. Any time a plate or drink is removed a restaurant should provide a fresh glass. After the waitress dropped the glass off and then ran off I called over the manager who basically fought with me about a fresh glass - not very hygienic. We eventually got a fresh glass with a little scotch at the bottom and nasty attitude. Very low rude behavior for such a fancy and expensive restaurant.
Nice spot. Great food and quiet despite the proximity to the West Side Hwy.
Beautiful room. Very good simple but special food that J-GV does so well. The pea soup is always a wonderful surprise. Octopus salad good as usual. The confit is terrific. My only problem is, every time I’m there it seems aggressively priced for what it is. But the restaurant deserves a break for having tables with air around them so you never feel you’re sitting on top of anybody and the noise level is as low as imaginable, and that luxury sometimes makes the price of the food seem something close to inexpensive.
Service was very half hearted. Food is good, but the overall experience is not good enough to warrant a return anytime soon.
Our group of 4 women had a wonderful time at Perry St. The food was superb and our server David B was fantastic!
The day of my experience was amazing. However it was the next day when one of the male employees decided to look up my name and email address and personally contact me to hit on me. I didn’t give him my name or anything. I was the only one dining alone at the time and had an early reservation. He took it upon himself to take my email from the reservation that I made online. This is a nice establishment that I can now not go back to because I’d rather avoid this guy.
Lovely room. Wine list has several well priced offerings. Tuna tartare app was the best. Octopus only ok. Of the mains the fried chicken was our favorite. And very attentive service!!
food not as good as JeanGeorges usually is with pretty much tasteless butter poached lobster
lemongrass and kafir lime sauce was outstanding though
A lovely place for brunch or lunch, and conversation with friends. The food is outstanding, and beautifully presented. The three course $36 lunch is a real bargain. The drinks are amazing (and I am usually just a martini or manhattan person) - try the raspberry lychee Prosecco for a great start to brunch.
You can definitely tell you are in a Jean George establishment when dining at Perry. Although not as top notch of an experience as his namesake restaurant, it comes close. The waitstaff is pleasantly attentive. The bartender made my favorite drink, even though it wasn’t on the menu. The food was delicious, in spite of a few minor mistakes — like my duck skin was not crispy enough, and my sister’s lamb chops were not cooked to her preference. The butterscotch soufflé for dessert more than made up for it. It was luscious, warm and yummy! Overall, Perry St. is a great dining experience with a relaxed elegant atmosphere that’s great for a friends get togethers, dates, and special occasions.
Perry St was the perfect setting for a special get-together with special friends. Our entire evening was perfectly orchestrated. As usual, everything the four of us ordered was delicious!
Great as always!
Everything was great. Only comment is that I expected more of the lava cake desert the center didnt ouze out and was not hot. Otherwise great experience.
Perfection best describes Perry Street. The attention to detail across every facet of the restaurant was very noticeable, highly appreciated and is something that’s so often missing from many restaurants. We were there to celebrate a birthday and had a large party that ranged in age from 13 to 50 something. The large round table was a welcome change and provided for a more intimate setting. The background noise was subtle but not so much so that you felt like you were in a library. Service was exceptional and seamless from the moment we were greeted by Hillary the maitre d (who was so helpful) until the end of the meal. The wait staff was quite attentive but not at all intrusive, in other words perfectly orchestrated. Lastly the food was spectacular and beautifully presented. It’s impossible to highlight which items were standouts as everyone in our party was extremely pleased with what they ordered. I had the roasted crescent duck, which was perfectly cooked and included so many flavor profiles in one dish. It was the best duck I have ever had and would highly recommend it. The Atlantic salmon and the carmelized beef tenderloin received rave reviews from the two 13-year olds, which was confirmed by others at the table. Even the lone vegetarian was satisfied with the items she ordered. Other items of note include the very flavorful mushroom amuse bouche, sashimi appetizer and two desserts - apple cake and butterscotch soufflé.
At the end of the meal we all remarked on the beautiful coffee cup and saucer that was a combination of rustic, sleek and elegant. In other words pure perfection, which is the best way to describe Perry Street.
First time at Perry Street for my birthday. The food was amazing and the service was great. I will definitely return.
Did not highlight the special occasion, the hostess was oblivious
Fabulous food and intimate setting
Overall we had a nice time. Ambiance in the evening and as very nice and romantic. Service was meticulously professional but lacked personality and warmth. Food tasted good but in the main was severed Luke warm to cool and this was the greatest disappointment. House made Amaretto was AMAZING.
one of my favorites it's a classic and always wonderful
Great food and great service
Great if you want to dine in a nice place where you can actually talk - a date, business meal, friends. Great ambiance. Food is excellent. Cooked to perfection.
