Jean-Georges’ son, Cedric Vongerichten, helms the kitchen, creating dishes that reflect his own keen instinct for balancing flavor and texture with an exquisite blend of French, American, and Asian influences and ingredients. The menu is inspired by the season, centering on the local market at Union Square.

My husband has ordered duck several times at Perry St and has loved it. This recipe had been changed and was so spicy my husband was up all night and sick the next morning as well. My son and I enjoyed our main courses. I will also say that the sauce on the special white asparagus was also laced with jalapeños and very spicy. We should have ordered it on the side. I was able to push it to the side so it didn’t overwhelm the tender white asparagus. Usually the food is quite good here but this time was a bust. The waitress did say our new chef likes his spice. I thought Jean George V made the menus not a new chef who adds his own touch. Not what we expected.
Fabulous as always!
Excellent experience every time we go ( and we go quite often). From the amazing food to the attentive and caring service, this restaurant is a keeper. The son of Jean Georges is doing really great and for us this is the preferred restaurant of the network.
the food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. the service was very below standard. the waitress was cool, bordering on arrogance. bread was only served upon us requesting it. the starter was already brought out when we had not even finished our pre dinner drinks. it took the staff a long time to clear our empty dishes. they just were not very interested. quite sad for a place with such exceptional food.
From the moment we walked in, we felt like royalty. The staff was extremely attentive and committed to ensuring our dining experience was great. The food was divine. I can’t wait to go back again and again.
It’s my favorite for so many reasons!
Best lunch deal in New York ($36/3 courses) with a wallet-friendly wine list to boot. Do NOT forget to get the chocolate lava cake - signature dessert.
Front of house was really rude and unpleasant...8 pm this past Saturday. Waitstaff wonderful friendly helpful.
Tables too close together.
Consistently a great dining experience all around.
Really enjoyed the meal. I had the soft shell crab, fried chicken and chocolate pudding. All were fantastic and would recommend the restaurant to anyone.
We had a lovely dinner . Managed to sit down just as the sun was setting over the Hudson.
The dining room is comfortable and understated. The staff was accommodating without being overwhelming. The food was delicious.
Food was excellent however we were being rushed to eat and finish our dinner. Furthermore, my card kept getting declined on their machine despite me being able use the same card to purchase an item moments later.
Simply the best. The food is always perfect, and the service even more so. ILY Perry St!
Everything about this place was fantastic. Went with my dad while he was visiting in NYC. Both loved it
Delicious food!! They did mix up our duck with lamb... but they solved it super quick.
nice ambience, excellent food, service and cocktails and nice location next to hudson river. Small portions at high prices detract from the experience.
Amazing all around
Lovely atmosphere, delicious cocktails and inventive cuisine. Excellent service. It is a special place for brunch and I look forward to having dinner there soon.
I really like this restaurant! My only slightly negative comment would be that the amount of lobster in the main course was pretty minuscule; there was a supplement to the price, and I would have been happy to pay more.
But overall it’s great to have lunch or dinner at Perry Street, and I will definitely go there again!
The restaurant is a little stuffy - think very square bright white furniture. The vibe was not comfortable, and the brunch menu food was over-priced (although all brunch is over-priced) for the quality outputted. Would not come again, though the lunch items did look more appetizing.
Really nice atmosphere with good ambience, service is excellent and the food is creative and delicious
Day on which we ate
Excellent food and service. Very knowledgeable waiter.
One of my favorite restaurants! Never disappoints.
As we’re locals, we’ve been eating at Perry St for close to 10 years. While we enjoy the restaurant very much my husband and I are questioning why the menu in all these years has never been updated or changed. Pretty much the exact same food and never any specials. We’re honestly bored with the restaurant and unfortunately will probably not be back. We do love the bar and I’m sure will come in for drinks now and then, but that might be it.
Lobster dish remains the best ever!!!!
A perfect meal for 8 in every way. Everyone loved it. Thanks
We enjoyed the experience. Food is very good, wine list a little expensive, service is excellent.
Just lacking in atmosphere and lighting doesn't help. Given that it is a bit of a destination restaurant, it could do better in that department. Fine if you are looking for privacy.
Delicious! Great service!
Delicious food! Service was top notch and every dish was divine. Highly recommend.
Pretty subpar for a Jean George’s restaurant. Best part about it is the ambiance. Host and waiters are stuffy and stuck up, we were 5 min early to our reservation but still waiting for the full party to arrive and was told to wait by the bar and the restaurant was empty... not surprised that you don’t even need a reservation for a prime Friday night. Nothing particularly memorable about the menu.
Perry Street continues to be my absolute favorite restaurant in NY !
The menu needs more vegetarian options.
I visited this restaurant with my husband for Sunday brunch. As soon as you walk in you will see very friendly hosts. And beautiful modern and very clean ambiance. We ordered a few dishes. One of them was Tuna tartar which I like the taste but I did not like the presentation. Avocado toast was very delicious. I was not impressed with salmon. It was okay. Also, my husband ordered a burger which I would not recommend. The meat was cooked wrong. Not how we ordered. In the end, we ordered Desert and Tea. And I have never received tea but they still charged me. At the very beginning, servers were very good but in the end, it turned in a very bad way. It was just a feeling that they are all tired and want to go home. In general, it was a good brunch but if you ask me "WIll I go there again?" Probably my answer is gonna be " NO"
We had heard about this place from a friend, and as we try out different places we decided to get here to Perry St.
It is our anniversary and we hoped to eat somewhere quite
Fantastic Valentine’s Day !
Not the bl
The food was amazing. All of our appetizers, entrees and dessert were delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful!
Location, ambiance, food, drink are all good for the soul.
