About
Jean-Georges’ son, Cedric Vongerichten, helms the kitchen, creating dishes that reflect his own keen instinct for balancing flavor and texture with an exquisite blend of French, American, and Asian influences and ingredients. The menu is inspired by the season, centering on the local market at Union Square.

Always a wonderful experience! Excellent food and service.
For special occasions it never fails. One of New York's most beautiful dining interiors.
The staff kindly professional and food exceptional! No joke!
Appalling service.
I loved it the first 2 times I came here, the food quality wasn't the same the third time around. The service was only okay and it was freezing in the dining area.
Exceptional food, drink, ambiance. Quiet enough to have a conversation at the table. Entrée portion might be a little more generous, particularly based upon cost. That should be addressed but, that being said, we will be back again as the overall experience and quality was top notch.
Outstanding Mother's Day Brunch. Every dish was excellent. Very relaxed ambience, with nice views of trees through the huge windows. Probably our best dining experience in 2019 thus far!
Outstanding food, service and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Normally a beautiful dining experience, this visit was a big disappointment. We were seated at a small table in a main thoroughfare to the kitchen and were constantly being passed by staff with trays of food brought out precariously perched as they passed over our head. Additionally, the service was poor to the point of being distracting. We had to remind the staff multiple times for our cocktails to arrive, the 3 appetizers all arrived at the same time and were shoved on our tiny table, and there were multiple times throughout the evening where we were without any beverages whatsoever (water or otherwise). Perhaps an off-night but disappointing nonetheless.
Outstanding food- classic takes on wonderful ingredients are delightfully updated by imaginative spicing and beautiful presentation! Add an attentive but non-hovering staff with graciously congenial attitudes and you realize a beautiful dining experience!
A+ as always. Food, service and atmosphere were top notch.
I'm a fan of the weekday lunch special, now $38. It's still good value. The room is lovely and usually quiet at lunchtime. The service is pleasant and attentive. The food's fine. Always a very pleasant lunch
The lunch special has a variety of choices for appetizers and main course. A dessert is included as well. I always go for the special molten chocolate dessert, absolutely scrumptious, divine. The service is excellent. It’s just a great place to go for get-togethers. It is one of Jean-Georges restaurants, and located near the Hudson.
I keep returning to Perry Street Restaurant. With its wonderful menu, we are always spoiled for choice and there is a great mix of the familiar and the new on each return. I'd be doing an injustice to every item on the menu by recommending just a few, but The Rice Cracker Crusted Tuna starter is my personal favorite. Make sure to leave room for the excellent desserts or cheese. A good and reasonably priced wine selection from the Old and New Worlds combines with some nifty cocktail and liquor magic behind the bar. Comfortable and modern decor, with subdued lighting for dinner gives a nice feeling of space at your table. The service is always friendly and relaxed, while perfectly attentive. And so it was on this visit and, I expect, will be on the next.
This west village gem is incredible - great water view , it was raining so we didn’t get to see it but phenomenal location. Our party of 6 all had a great meals. The scallops were exquisite. Several had steak - they said ‘perfection’. Everything was fresh. The presentation of the food was world class.
The only problem was it took a long x to gets drinks and it wasn’t busy. Ordered a martini + it wasn’t right ( asked w/o vermouth) they didn’t take the drink back and still charged - weird. Not a big deal ordered a second one done right and admitted the problem still charged for both. Dessert is a must. Molten cake was invented here- cool fun fact. Loved eating here and will surely be back !!!
Food was outstanding; minimalist, quiet ambience; pleasant service
This restaurant is a gem! Everything was perfect: food, service, ambiance (and, yes, even a low noise level).
We love Perry Street. It's our favorite restaurant in the Village.
Elegant setting with delicious food
Tuna tartare was very good. Everything else was a bit disappointing. Overly battered fried calamari and ditto for fried chicken. Though adding scotch bonnet heat was a great idea, overly battering did not make it delicately delicious, but rather common.
I would recommend Perry St. But not enthusiastically and I would NOT recommend the Prix Fix. Pea Soup and Fried Calamari were delightful starters (perfectly executed), but the Prix Fix entrees were disappointing. The portion was understandably small for the Prix Fix price, but the plating exaggerated the minimal portion (especially with the slow cooked salmon). I felt disappointed in seeing the salmon placed to one side of the plate and the other side a dingy looking formerly white plate stared sadly at me. Perhaps the experience would improve without the paltry Prix Fix option? Perry St felt tired relative to my past experience there (two or three times not long after it opened).
Thanks Henry and to the entire team for making our anniversary a special evening. Five stars in every aspect. We love Perry St. for special occasions, date nights, and meeting up with friends. See you soon!
Beautiful restaurant--a wash of light from every angle. Special place in particular for a holiday or special meal. Great menu and wine list as well.
Food was excellent! We had asparagus appetizers to start...and then lobster and dover sole for mains. Finished up with strawberry "shortcake" and lemon creme brulee. Perfect from start to finish. I also have celiac disease and they were very helpful. Highly recommend!
Excellent,imaginative food. Great service
My husband has ordered duck several times at Perry St and has loved it. This recipe had been changed and was so spicy my husband was up all night and sick the next morning as well. My son and I enjoyed our main courses. I will also say that the sauce on the special white asparagus was also laced with jalapeños and very spicy. We should have ordered it on the side. I was able to push it to the side so it didn’t overwhelm the tender white asparagus. Usually the food is quite good here but this time was a bust. The waitress did say our new chef likes his spice. I thought Jean George V made the menus not a new chef who adds his own touch. Not what we expected.
Fabulous as always!
Excellent experience every time we go ( and we go quite often). From the amazing food to the attentive and caring service, this restaurant is a keeper. The son of Jean Georges is doing really great and for us this is the preferred restaurant of the network.
the food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. the service was very below standard. the waitress was cool, bordering on arrogance. bread was only served upon us requesting it. the starter was already brought out when we had not even finished our pre dinner drinks. it took the staff a long time to clear our empty dishes. they just were not very interested. quite sad for a place with such exceptional food.
