Jean-Georges’ son, Cedric Vongerichten, helms the kitchen, creating dishes that reflect his own keen instinct for balancing flavor and texture with an exquisite blend of French, American, and Asian influences and ingredients. The menu is inspired by the season, centering on the local market at Union Square.

I was underwhelmed by the Dover Sole. Just didn't knock my socks off and for $48 it probably should. The Tuna appetizer dish was very tasty.
Loved it! Can’t wait to come back. Yummy and awesome vibe.
The food was excellent, but the portions did not live up to the high price tag. We found the ambiance to be just okay. It was quiet inside, although the decor and scene wasn't particulary interesting. I probably would not done here again.
We normally enjoy Perry Street, however on the eve of our 21st anniversary we had a few issues. It all started rather well at the bar with some amazing cocktails, however once seated our disappointment began. The tuna starter arrived with an extra ingredient - a piece of hair, which upon mentioning it to the waitress got replaced. The lobster main course was delicious, however it was at the desert time that we got really disappointed as even though we have mentioned my husband's allergy to nuts from the start, we were given a complimentary dessert - poached pear with hazelnuts. The waitress told us upon mentioning that she realized once she put the receipt through, though told my husband that hopefully he has some Benadryl and will be okay.... Not sure this is a level of service/response from a server that merits this type of establishment.
Exceptional service, amazing attention to details. The food outstanding
Always dependable, great meal, great service. Highly recommended.
Had to send back multiple dishes for being undercooked. Took forever to get drinks. Was very disappointed
I love Perry street. I live nearby and it’s the perfect spot where there’s (1) always availability 1-2 days before but also (2) always fills up and is happening. It’s also perfect for work events as the noise level is always mild.
The food is really outstanding and I love that there are about 8 things I truly love here (duck, lamb, salmon, Dover sole to name a few... also the crispy tuna appetizer is out of this world!) .
Also I have several intolerances and they are BEYOND accommodating so that’s a plus!
I picked this restaurant for a formal business dinner and it was perfect. It was quiet, the menu was well described and had a good mix of great food. Very well presented and served without much of a wait. The cocktails were well made.
Delicious food. Always!
Perry St. is our go to restaurant for all occasions and seasons.
The service is always impeccable and the food is delicious
Nice place. Relaxed vibe with good food. Waiters had good attention to detail.
Went on a Friday night at 10pm -- happy the kitchen stays open late but At the price point it wasn't satisfying, this is from someone who dines often all over nyc at different levels.
The busser who came to our table often couldn't take our drink order, while polite - our waiter didn't know menu substitutes for dishes they ran out of. They asked me if I had allergies and still served me a dish that had items I was allergic to.
Then the food was just 5/6 out of 10 - we did the tasting Menu but it was just okay. I expected more and especially at $300 for -a party of 2.
What could have been a nightmare turned into a wonderfully memorable evening. In an otherwise serene and upscale setting, we unfortunately wound up seated next to a table of drunken trashy folks who behaved like they were in Hooters. The staff politely tried to send them the message that their shrieking and bouncing around was destroying the experience for everyone around them. When that had no effect, they kindly moved us to another table as soon as one became available, retimed the arrival of our entrees, and--the coup de grace--comped us five scrumptious desserts. (Try the butterscotch souffle. It is worth every extra minute on the treadmill.) The excellent food and service made us all eager to return to Perry Street. You'll love it.
Very disappointed in the price relative to quality. Food was ok. Entrees overpriced considering a fish entree was just a piece of fish and nothing else. We ordered an artichoke appetizer to split. They brought 1 1/2 artichoke hearts. We were wondering what happened to the rest. Then they proceeded to seat 5 drunk people who were being very loud at a table meant for four and forced in three people on the bench seating which meant they were basically sitting with us. Not at all good. Won’t be going back. Plenty of other better options in the area.
Staff was very nice though. They missed how drunk the other people were. Honestly they never should have been allowed to sit.
The pear salad was unbelievable; the fried chicken with scotch bonnet sauce was magical. LOVED this dinner. *
Amazing food amazing place
Alyssa is a great manager
Jo a very welcoming and engaging hostess
Overall nice if noisy setting, good but mostly bland food; nothing exciting on the culinary side.. Desserts were slightly better. There are many less costly places in NYC that beat this one hands down.
Consistent. Never fails to deliver a highly enjoyable experience.
Sunday brunch here. Good value fixed price menu. Accommodating staff. Food was delicious. Good service
Great atmosphere, nice and beauty people around. the food is amazing, very well prepared with fresh ingredients.
omg no. small portions, looks like a hotel conference room super detached ambience and very expensive. also we waited for our table for a long time and they told us the drinks were on them except then charghing us for them. not gonna be back. service was ok though.
Superbly professional service. Fascinating menu items such as mushroom carpaccio and Crispy Artichoke Heart as appetizers, which were both excellent. I had their very popular Fried Chicken with Scotch Bonnet sauce, which was moist and delicious ( but I had an $8 upcharge because I wanted dark meat only. Usually “white meat only”is at a premium— I thought this fee was excessive and unnecessary—and seemed cheap. I would think a premium restaurant would not find an extra chicken breast a particular burden for the kitchen to use up!)
Unfortunately I found the wine list had a dearth of moderately priced wines, but overall Perry Street is to be recommended highly.
This is an oasis on the west side highway , very nice atmosphere and accompanied by very good food , a nice and civilized way to spend an afternoon or evening.
Love this place. Food is amazing - friendly and knowledgable staff and great wine list.
Older crowd, good food . Definitely get the lobster!
Have been coming here for 10 years and it’s just perfect all the time. So happy I have this place to come to next to my home.
Literally the best food I have ever eaten accompanied by the most amazing ambiance. I have never felt more important as a customer in a location that is heaven for your eyes & soul.
This experience was not worthy of Jean Georges at all. The service felt off kilter and the food wasn’t his usual wow at all. We appreciated that they credited the tuna appetizer we didn’t finish (because it wasn’t good at all), I’m not sure we will return, honestly.
We have been coming here for years — one of our favorites, and reliably excellent. The food and drinks are always on point and high quality, but it’s the service that really sets Perry St apart. From Mac behind the bar, to Hilary at the front desk, to David, Henry, Jake, and all the other wonderful staff, this restaurant goes the extra mile to make you feel special.
❤️❤️❤️ Perry Street! It's in my top 10 NYC restaurants. Food is ALWAYS exceptional. We had snapper sashimi, calamari, squash soup, anjou pear for starters and bay scallops, poached lobster and Dover sole as entrees... Perfection each and every one! For dessert, the pudding was AMAZING (first time I've had that and would go for that alone lol); others had chocolate cake (always delish), and pear. First time dining there on a Saturday night and it was much noisier than week nights.
Excellent. Highly recommended. Fried chicken or beef tenderloin are flawless time and time again. One of the the best restaurants in the West Village and one of my favorites in the city.
The absolute best restaurant for the price. We have been to Jean Georges at Central Park West, and the bill was very high. Perry St. is a Jean George Restaurant with the best food and ambience. Dining there is more than dining, it is an experience. And the bill is much less than Jean Georges, Central Park West
Best Salmon I had in New York City in the last 2.5 years. Super delicious appetizers
A special place to celebrate a family member's birthday! Wonderful food and attentive service. The chocolate pudding with candied violets was an especially big hit.
Great service, delicious food!
Excellent food and sincere service. Keep up the great work!
Perry Street Restaurant has excellent service and the food is consistently well-prepared. Our favorites include the sea bass with mushroom, and the avocado/mushroom appetizer. Excellent wine selection, good coffee and desserts. Go early for quieter atmosphere. Not inexpensive, but the staff are very helpful, pleasant and attentive.
This was our first time at Perry St and it was a great experience. The staff, food all were outstanding. I will definitely recommend to our family & friends.
