The restaurant was nearly empty but we were seated in Siberia. Don’t know why?
Ok but simple food presentet in a posh way. As a chef myselfe i can say this will not hold a high standard anywhere else in the world. Priced as a michelin restaurant but nowhere near such food and service. Just another overpriced New York restaurant. The wines presentet was average, but then again priced as they where made of gold. This was a dinner on New Years eve, so they had all chances to show what they could do. If this was at their best, the effort was poorly and lame.
A wonderful experience for our 11th anniversary. I've already recommended it to two friends.
Memorable food and attentive service.
First real restaurant in NYC, it was for Christmas Eve and it was really great. A server wasn't really nice until somebody (Perrine herself ?) told him something, then he was more sympathetic. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation and would come again as well ! Greatings from Belgium !
With the exception of a burger from the King Cole Bar at the St Regis, I avoid hotel restaurants while in NYC because of the many iconic institutions to choose from. Based solely on the excellent recommendation of the hotel Concierge, I cancelled our reservation at Tavern on the Green to give this place a try. Perrine with its excellent menu of French and American cuisine is located in the beautiful Pierre Hotel and is an absolute must try. The service is excellent, the food is absolutely exceptional and the quiet quaint atmosphere is a breath of fresh air compared to most NYC restaurants. Definitely give it a try.
It was not their best night. We waited and waited for our meal to arrive. Then waited and waited for dessert.
Sublime. Service and atmosphere is NY classic , refined dining in a beautiful setting.
Overall -- rather disappointing.
Ambience - comfortable, reserved.
Service - seated promptly at desired table, wait staff was friendly (but not terribly efficient).
Food - onion soup was excellent
Bread was delivered wrapped in linen napkin -- but was cold.
Lobster salad -- reasonable portion of lobster but salad elements were relatively sparse.
Dessert -- I usually love desserts but the Banana Caramel pie was dreadful. Crust was rock-hard and the banana-caramel-cream mixture had a slight acidic taste. Such a disappointment.
The the service and the food are top notch. I would come back to this restaurant again and again for many meals.
The restaurant is quiet! Service very good. Food was excellent. Drinks made just the way we like them! Wonderful experience!
The halibut was outstanding! Great spot!
For such a fine restaurant, the service was not good. We were kept waiting for our table, even with a reservation. They didn’t seem prepared to have our table at all. We finally got seated, and had to “flag someone down” each and every time we wanted something ( not our style to do this but literally no one was coming over)! A drink order, some water, menus, ordering, water refill...all had to be initiated by us. The food was very good but I did not feel taken care of as a customer.
We enjoyed dining at Perrine. It was handy to our hotel (Park Lane), it had nice ambiance, the menu offered lots of options, the service was excellent, the wine list formidable.
Upscale prices but low level experience - bored waiter, un gracious maître D... a lot of money for very little enjoyment
Excellent service, good menu, food prepared well. Okay wine menu. Good ambiance, and centrally located to to CP and shopping along Fifth.
Dined here on Sunday night. My other half had the special which was Dover Sole which was meant to be boneless. However a bone was found! There was no apology and in London there would be no charge for the meal. Given how expensive this venue is they should be more on the ball. The food is very good.
Fantastic food and service. Great for both lunch and dinner.
We have eaten at Perrine several times and we love the food, the service, the atmosphere.
Lovely. Food was excellent. Excellent service
We came for a late family breakfast on Thanksgiving. The food and the service were impeccable. The staff was welcoming and we enjoyed lingering on a festive day.
This place was stuffy and uninteresting. The food was overpriced, uninspired and clearly a relic from NYC’s past.
Felt uncomfortable with the whole atmosphere. The food was ok, very average.. there was one waiter in particular who didn’t look very welcoming in taking out orders. Would probably recommend the bar but not food
Just had a first date here and it was perfect for the occasion. The food was delicious, the ambiance was glamorous without being stuck-up, and the drinks were well-mixed. Would definitely recommend for intimate occasions.
It was our two year wedding anniversary, so we spent this special night together. The food was good, but the last time was better when we came in for the French Restaurant week and ordered the same lamb chop and appetizer, but overall it's still a wonderful experience.
Wonderful evening all around. Friendly helpful staff in a very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend Perrine if you are in Manhattan.
Hotel restaurant done right !!!
Varied menu with express lunch menu a great value-
Extensive wine list - excellent service !!!
Setting more like breakfast cafe than fine dining restaurant. Food was not prepared well. Also, this is a hotel restaurant.
The food was fair. The service was great. The prices are off the charts. We asked for them to space out the food between the appetizers and the main dish since we learned from last time they rush it out and sure enough, they brought the entree way too soon. The place is empty and they still rush you out of there. I do t get it.
We have been here for dinner on number of occasions recently. Like it a lot and will be back whenever we come back to New York.
Well made cocktails, attentive staff, well prepared and classic French food.
Located in the Pierre Taj Hotel.
A relaxing place Midtown
Excellent service and food. Enjoyed our visit and will return.
It was a First Rate dining experience, especially our gracious server Sam.
We had lunch and breakfast at Perrine. It was delightful. Great food, atmosphere and great service at a beautiful hotel. We stayed at The Pierre also and loved the amazing service, atmosphere, everything!
We wanted quiet conversation and we got it. I prefer the beautiful decor of the lounge area to the stark modern of the dining room but still very pleasant. Fine wines and service. Delicious food. Will definely go again.
Not impressed at all by the dishes, the bread was bland, the tables had paper placemats, the house wines need a bit of retuning, the sishito peppers sidedish was bland and wilted, the grilled octopus was barely there as they put the smallest portion possible, the grilled lobster was ok in flavor but was not properly prepared for the table...there was one claw only... the only good thing about this place were the waiter, host, and bartender.... get rid of the managers and the chef needs some extra training in French cuisine.
Very disappointed. Service was terrible. Food ok. Wine not very good. Atmosphere was like a cafeteria and is not representative of THE Pierre!
The staff and food was incredible! My wife and I came for our 1st wedding anniversary and they made us feel extremely special. Thank you so much to everyone! We will be back :)
Highly highly recommend! Our waiter, Kenny, was such a sweetheart and did an amazing job!
Seated me in the no table cloth / bar section, with the folks dining in t-shirts. I was wearing a sport jacket with a collared starched shirt. Otherwise enjoyed the meal: fish was cooked perfectly, lamb chops were great. Server recommendations were spot on.
