James Beard Award-winning Chef Andrew Black makes his way back to Skirvin Hotel to open his newest restaurant concept, Perle Mesta. The restaurant will be his first concept to open since winning a James Beard award as 2023’s Best Chef Southwest and will be located on the first floor of the historic Skirvin Hotel (One Park Avenue, Oklahoma City). Perle Mesta will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and the cuisine will reflect Chef Black’s continued exploration of what he calls “possibility cuisine,” a concept he attributes to his style of cooking that explores and embraces the endless possibilities of ingredients, flavors, techniques, and cultural influences. In this context, possibility cuisine involves chefs pushing the boundaries of traditional cooking and experimenting with unconventional ingredients, fusion cuisine, molecular gastronomy, or avant-garde techniques. It may involve a sense of creativity, innovation, and openness to exploring new culinary horizons.

Treat the moms in your life to chef-crafted brunch favorites within James Beard award-winning her Andrew Black’s prix fixed menu he has prepared and seasonal delights in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Adults are $75 per person, and children under 10 are $35 per person. As a special touch, every mother will have the opportunity to create her own custom bouquet at our DIY Bloom Bar, available on-site during the event. Had a wonderful evening at Perle Mesta! My SO and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary there, and had a fantastic time. The staff and our server Logan went above and beyond to make our evening special, comfortable and memorable. Logan went over the whole menu in great detail and even showed a large knowledge of the menu, food and concept of the restaurant. Would and will return in the future for more than just a special occasion. As always Chef Black’s culinary skills, styles and concepts show in the whole restaurant. From ingredient choice to plating the whole menu is stunning. The dishes showcased a wonderful arrangement of flavors, perfectly described by Logan during our visit. Cannot wait to spread the word of this amazing place!!

We loved our dinner at Perle Meste! The food was divine and service exceptional! Special shout out to Ryan. We also were lucky and met Andrew Black, the James Beard award winning chef. He is delightful and super kind--loved it all!

Some dishes were great (sea bass, salmon, burrata salad), but pizza was almost inedible and everything was very pricey. Beautiful decor (wonderful update), but it was a Saturday night and pretty empty whereas you can hardly get a table elsewhere in town. Don’t think it’s going to make it.

Food is beyond words! The chef has mixed flavors and spices to make new and exciting tastes! Our waiter, Jason, was the best at curating an amazing experience! He was friendly attentive and kind! The venue is the perfect backdrop for the food! Will go again!!!

Our server Jason was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and professional. He just became a level 1 sommelier and offered really great suggestions. We will definitely be back!

We went for a birthday and had the best time! Our waiter Jason was the best and really made sure the night was perfect. All the food looked so good so we just went all out and ordered three entrees which they offered to split up for us so we each had the same experience small plate style. The food was incredible! We also enjoyed a few cocktails and ended the night with a complementary piece of chocolate cake which was to die for. We’ve been to other Andrew Black concepts before and are always blown away.

Really great experience. The wait staff was super attentive. The decor is beautiful. The food was amazing. Cocktails were really good too. Definitely worth the money. Can’t wait to go back.
