I brought my mother-in-law here and her last day with us in Austin. She absolutely loved everything but especially the lobster bisque! Will be back soon for sure.
All the food was ridiculously good and the service was amazing as well!
The food was amazing but our waiter did not have the energy or the desire to work there. I really hope he can get some rest or take some days off because I am sure he is great!
amazing food! Great service! Oysters are a must !
Amazing service and food! The wedge salad was delicious!
Best oysters in Austin.
Lovely service, food and experience as usual! Can’t wait to be back!
We had the best service with Mark. The food was delicious.
Love the brunch menu here! Egg white frittata was delicious and fresh!
Overpriced for what it is. The oysters were fantastic but $40 for overlooked fish is too much.
Good food and service from our waiter. Indoor and outdoor dining options.
Incredible food, service, and atmosphere, especially on a Sunday night. We had no clue which oysters to order and our server gave us a thorough rundown on our options for our tastes, then wrote down the selections on a paper for us to reference! It’s the little things.
I had an amazing Lobster roll and oysters for Brunch. Doesn't get much better than that.
I can’t get over how overpriced this restaurant is. Two people. One glass of wine. $169 w tip? It’s just silly. And it seems pretty run down, even touristy…
The food was excellent and desserts were great. The Seared scallops were big and well seasoned. The salmon was season well but a small portion. German chocolate cake and pot de creme were both yummy. The noise level was moderate but extremely busy.
We had a great afternoon reconnecting with family. Great food and wonderful service!
Perlas is an amazing restaurant with impeccable staff and incredible food. Best seafood in and experience in Austin.
Great food, best seafood in the ATX! Coming back again and again…
Great food drinks are
The oysters were fantastic. All East Coast, which happen to be my favorites. I thought the portions were very small for the price of the food.
We had a table in the back corner by a tree. I had these reservations almost two months. Being new to Austin, we were excited to try Perla’s but were disappointed with our table and the service. It would have been lovely to sit outside too. Our waiter rushed us thru our orders and didn’t seem focused on our table. :(
Wish dinner service was available before 5:30.
Always a favorite. Fish was perfectly cooked, and cocktails were amazing. Expensive, but worth the splurge
Such a great restaurant- yummy seafood, lovely cocktails and a perfect location. We sat on the patio and the weather, service, ambiance and food was perfect! Perfect for a group lunch, date, special occasion or any reason to eat out. I highly recommend and make reservations, many others agree. Enjoy!
It's always great. One of our favorite restaurants in Austin.
The oysters were delicious and I really recommend the brussel sprouts!
We absolutely love dining at Perlas
Went for anniversary and had a delicious meal. Service was great and I will recommend for sure and will definitely return.
We expected better food quality……
The inside part of the restaurant is not very nice….
Value continues to slide at this otherwise very good restaurant. Wife had scallops. If that dish was on the cooking channel, they'd say it wasn't a complete entree and the contestant would lose. Scallops on the plate, with nothing else, all by their lonesome... for near $40.
This was an anniversary outing that my husband I were looking forward to after over a year of not eating at an upscale restaurant. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. He had good suggestions aside from the drink choice. The snapper collar was delicious, but definitely needed a side. We ordered Brussels sprouts which were tasty, but a little more drenched in a buttery sauce then we’d liked. We also shared the gem salad. It was delicious as an appetizer. My husband’s salmon entree was very small compared to my snapper. The time for the dishes to be prepared was at least 30 minutes AFTER we had finished eating our salad. Even with the salad prior to the main meal, the wait time between it and our entries was entirely too long particularly since we had placed the main meals when we ordered the salad. I asked about maybe getting some bread brought to the table, but the server made sure I knew that would be an additional charge. I guess having to ask about the drink order after about 20 minutes from we first arrived and it was taken, having to wait an additional 30 minutes for the food to arrive, and then another 15 minutes to get the check paid was customary here. Well, I guess not paying for parking helped. I understand that there are shortages with staff, but I didn’t see that here. It just seemed like a lack of attentive service and just so-so food preparation. I had shared on the online reservation site that it was our anniversary. Interestingly, this wasn’t noted by any of the staff. It was sadly an underwhelming experience.
Red Fish on 1/2 shell and boulabaise cooked to perfection..Service real good along with cocktails.. Only disappointment was that the 2 wines I selected on wine list (Sancerre and suave blanc) were not available.. Since we are ABC (anything but Chard) people, only wine available was French blend.. Excellent wine but $40 more than either of our first selections.. Perla and the Moorman group should be able to stock the wines on their list... Regardless -- We shall return....
Great outdoor setting with great service and a menu that offers a variety of seafood options. I would recommend especially on a beautiful day! Great location to walk South Congress shops after your meal!
Food was just ok and a little disappointing for the price point but the cocktails were delicious
Great place, great food, great service!
Good but not great seafood considering the prices. And we waited over an hour to get our food which was lukewarm at best when it arrived. Shoestring fries? Hardly! Just an example of how misrepresented this place is. And then to be subjected to a 20% gratuity since we had more that 6 people. Frankly not worth 10%. Crawl, don't run to Perlas. Grab a slice nearby and save a ton of money.
Wonderful!! 50th birthday trip!!!
We love Perla’s and were thrilled to find a Saturday lunch reservation. The food was wonderful, as always. Our server was very inattentive and he did not put off a nice vibe. I also wonder with the prices there not inexpensive by any measure why the silverware is so cheap. It just does not seem to fit. We still love Perla’s and are already making future reservations.
