    Our Open Table reservation never went through. The said they don’t use Open Table anymore. You better take them off your list. We were lucky to get in.

    $27 for a strip steak and not much more than a shot glass size of rice and beans. $11 for a drink that was 80% ice. While the items were tasty, I feel it was way over priced. Try it out and judge for yourself.

    This was our first visit to Perla Negra, and it won’t be our last. If you are looking for Mexican food that is off the beaten path, this place is great. Absolutely wonderful seafood dishes, and no “normal” tacos and burritos. Seafood was obviously fresh, and the cocktails we ordered tasted like they were made with real juice, and no mixes. Everything was very realistically priced accordingly. Our server was friendly and accommodating, and the food came to the table super fast. The atmosphere was more casual than we anticipated, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Our only complaint is that the music level was a little high, so it was hard to have conversation. In summary, the food and drinks were delicious and unique, the service was great, and we will be coming back.

    Have been trying to dine here since they 1st opened, at the height of the pandemic. I'm so glad they survived thru that challenge! Open and spacious dining area in unpretentious environment- great acoustical treatment made conversation easy while we enjoyed the unobtrusive background music. Finally made it on a Friday evening. The mezcal margarita was a perfect start. A well stocked bar always a good sign! The huge appetizer Coctel de camarron y pulpo (shrimp and octopus) very colorful and tasty. My guest had an ample supply of pasta laPerla- delicious seafood with shrimp and clams. My polle asado was grilled perfectly- the nayarit spices added wonderful flavors and scents without overwhelming heat. (Plenty of pepper sauces readily available to those who want to amp up the scovilles.) We we there early- so plenty of available tables- but needed to leave without hearing the small band just arriving. Will certainly return to discover the live music!

    Food was ok but overpriced for what you get. Fajitas didn't even come with cheese or sour cream yet still cost $30

    We had a great time with the band being there on Friday would be great if restaurant closed later than 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays . Bad service experience as we had to keep asking for everything that should have been brought to our table in the first place like chips and salsa kept asked for drinks that never made it to our table but ended up on our bill and one of our plates they did not bring out as they forgot about it until we asked for it .

    Everything was good overall. My wife and I did not enjoy the raw oysters. They weren’t very good quality. All of the other food was wonderful though! Drinks were good and the main dishes were delicious and packed with flavor. We’ll definitely be returning.

    Where should I begin..... the only great thing was the food, the portions were big and the flavor and taste were delicious. The service however was horrible; since the moment we walked in we didn’t see a single worker on the floor. We waited at the entrance a good 3 minutes before someone came out from the back to greet us and seat us. It was only 2 people working the floor. One was an overly rude waitress that never came to see if we were ok. And the other was the manger who seemed to be doing all the work. He took our order and was nice enough to give us a few good recommendations on what to order. The food was brought to our table promptly and like I said it was delicious. No one ever came to see if we were doing ok or if we needed anything else. My boyfriend’s drink finished and he sat waiting with out a drink for over 10 minutes until we had to stop the rude waitress and ask her for the drink and we had to tell her we were waiting for someone to come and check on us because we wanted limes. She seemed bothered by us asking her for another drink and the whole lime situation. Brought it and left. Over all the staff experience was nasty but the food was great.
